  1. It's EURKEA a furniture and homewares store for the Wild West?
  2. It's very close, yes. Customising the ride colours won't be available until Alpha 3 in late July. No green camo option will be available... Terrain adjustment and painting is awesome.. For some (myself included), there was no sound working in Alpha 2. If you're affected, read this dev post on the PC forums for the easy fix.
  3. I wonder if this is in support of the production of Thor starting next month at the studios, or part of the park?
  4. So Long, Alpha 1. I've enjoyed it a lot, contributed some bugs to the Devs, was mesmerized by the work of Silvarret, Kukamonda and the rest, and realised that my PC DESPERATELY needs an upgrade prior to final release. It's done me well, still plays FPS games easily, but with the game's intention of utilising 100% of the CPU for peep management, I'll need that i7 & 16gb ram as soon as I can get my hands on it. I thought I'd make a small map, with no path from the gate meaning no peeps in the park. Still didn't help. Alpha 2 with its' new paths, stairs & ramps, terrain editing, 13 coaster types and overhauled coaster creation, new pieces of buildings and scenery, with 360degree rotation, is gonna be awesome. Oh, and Gulpee Rex!
  5. What he said. Space Mountain 2 is a proper length train coaster (6x4 rider cars in the train), Space Mountain is more trains but less riders (2x6 rider cars).
  6. Only ride breakdown I've ever experienced was on the Buzz Lightyear Lazer Blast at Disneyland Paris in July 2013. It was stationery for about 4 minutes (guessing a software reboot). After we got back to the station, they let us "stay on" if we wanted, and go around again. We did, others got off.
  7. NO MORE ROCKS AS MOUNTAINS!! No more cannons hidden in chimneys! MUCH better scenery placement, just hope that control system extends to building pieces... Also a forum chat regarding the amazing audio in the game.
  8. Still trying to figure it out - the climax is a water geyser effect to lift the boat?
  9. How annoying and immersion-breaking is the flash photography in that PotC video?
  10. Stunning. Alpha 2 is 25 May our time, iirc.
  11. Agreed, and I'm sure they'll do something about it before Beta. Probably by giving the option for up to 30m wide paths. You can make square edges to paths, by switching 90degree snap on and length=1. Q & A from last night.
  12. Great idea. Look at the top of the pole - there's bolt points for something else to go onto it.
  13. A stunning resort hotel added to the game. This is stunning for 1st Alpha. Next alpha is May 24-25ish. More theming, coasters, amongst other things.
  14. Wrong side of the motorway, TPG. Look east of the reservoir. I wish I remember more of my visit there (22 November 1997 - I remember the date as the park staff were talking about Michael Hutchence dying earlier that day.). I do remember riding the Demon, Space Probe 7 and the Bush Beast...
  15. I've had no issues with jumping into a guest's head and looking around as they walk. The "1st person" mode is available, but the movement speed is not limited to guest speed, it's still at park design overall mode speed. Being in this mode won't lock you to guests' head height, if your angle of view is up or down you'll move towards that altitude. Here's some fantastic work, the creator has even recreated an art piece of old docks in the game.
  16. A lot of the pros are keen for Alpha2. I coincidentally have that week off work. My graphics card is the Radeon R9 200 Sapphire. My CPU is the weak, WEAK (don't laugh!) part of the system, a duo E8400 @ 3.00 GHz and only 4GB of ram. I'm looking at my Tax Refund for a CPU/motherboard/RAM upgrade. I'm using a SSD and that helps only so much.. Here's my list of players to MUST watch. Links to their YouTube channels: Silvarret Kukamonda Skye Storme Others I check in on occasionally: Flabaliki Deftoneish ConflictedNerd Jurre van den Heuvel Fluxtrance Lots of good stuff out there, check out the Planet Coaster Forums, the Planet Coaster Reddit and YouTube. Planet Coaster post on Twitter and Facebook.
  17. Great to hear! Sadly my "main" park is killing my PC, it's only half built and not going to be that big of a park. My Graphics card is a year old, but my CPU/mobo/RAM are almost 4 years old and letting me down. It's got me running at under 10 FPS as the CPU can't deal with the processing of 1200 individual guests' decision making, path finding etc. The alpha currently inserts 200 guests per ride into the park. Thinking of deleting rides and focusing on themeing instead. Might just make a new park, but think Aussie World in size, not Disney.
  18. ..because Star Wars has never had Female or non-Caucasian fans. It's not PC, it's broadening your fanbase with great stories and characters that appeal to not just white straight men. I came to Parkz today because I heard about an incident on the ride. Figured I'd find the actual reason it happened here. (Eventually).
  19. The sound of that ride is one I'll never forget. Only got to ride it about a half dozen times. Last time was on a rainy day, they only allowed 8 of us on at a time (24 seat train?) as "too many and it goes too quick for safety - you'll get the quickest ride today!", said the RideOp. Never knew if it was true or not...
  20. Looks like the Lair and main Tiger display/show area are untouched, at the moment. I wonder if they still take the Tigers out into the main area (before/after demolition work) to stretch their legs/provide familiarity?
