  1. ...which is peculiar as I thought the station blueprints were having the ride entry under the lift hill.
  2. Don't really see the need for a DC theme then it there's no theming other than train and track.. Just give it a generic coaster theme. I guess the "World Class" or "World's Best" (whichever it was) didn't apply to off-ride experience? I like the multi-queues.
  3. Silvarret on Twitter posted this pic of a new Vekoma coaster's first drop. I'm wondering again how our Mack will do it: something similar to this or a turn-then-drop?
  4. @willco What seat were you in? For Parkz members: What hydraulic fluid is present on the car?
  5. Competitors will likely go after they've finished their events. Some have families joining them who might visit outside of the competition. Then there's the visitors for the event, volunteers for the games who are visiting the park on their downtime... The parks should have great numbers.
  6. Already have had that accusation against me, TPG!
  7. Posting "cut the crap" type responses on the sensationaism social media posts out there, and getting a bit of hate from some who have it in for the park. Just having a good at them.
  8. Good stuff on their part, @Theme Park Girl, to shut the sensationalist media down asap.
  9. @themagician both happened. As for the "hold your breath" lyrics, I'm okay with them. It's been almost six months since the accident, and we have to move on. It's harder for families and friends of the victims (and many staff), but the general population will not make the connection at all. Rewatching the ad, it's good to see there's a realistic display of ethnic diversity. Something the parks have been pretty good at of late.
  10. I'll freely admit that I'm pleasantly surprised RHLR will reopen. I had it toast for all money.
  11. Either that's a staff path, or a fence will be going in to separate the train and guests?
  12. At the Doctor Who experience in Cardiff, they update the walk though attraction to the current doctor. I see what you're saying about the ride being from the "Eleventh Doctor", but this show always markets the newest Doctor.
  13. If it's the first element after the drop, it's going to have a heck of a lot of speed. A cobra roll would be crazy on the G's if it isn't the size of Pop's negative Rep or bigger. As the turn around appears to be very similar to Flash (overbank turn and over/unders the outbound track), I think we need to look more at that layout. If there won't be a loop after the first drop, I'd look towards a zero G roll instead. I suspect the first element is in the first image @themagician posted on p103.
  14. December 30 image on https://www.terraserver.com/ should be the same as it is today - albeit with less grass. It looks like the turnaround near Top Golf could be an overbanked turn as opposed to a dive loop or immelmann. It looks like just before this turn, the in and out parts twist over each other?
  15. I have no concerns with bag checks at theme parks. Have experienced it at Disney and Universal, helps you feel safer, and would certainly catch those planning on disrupting the day of others at the very least.
  16. The part of Dreamworld that's a memory black hole of sorts for me, is the Creature Cruise ('97-'00), I'd imagine is where the ball house is today. I have no memory of this family ride.
  17. Just for my own understanding. My memories of Village Green don't go as far as where TI stands today.
  18. Apparently you forgot to attach a photo of what you're being cryptic about.
  19. Thanks @Jamberoo Fan I was about to remind everyone we've spoken about this a few times over the last few months. However I agree with others in that thread that Vintage Cars in the old TRRR channel would be in terrible taste. That ride site must be completely replaced. I still agree with some early posts from after the tragedy, a lawn or garden for a year or so would be tactful, unless the entire Gold Rush (apart from BS) is removed.
  20. @themagician, in addition to what @AlexB has said, the old Skull entry was between where Pandamonium and Gingy's are, there's a squirting-water-jet-thingy area there now. As for ToT, there was two elevators leading into the "wedge" shaped queue room that's now got a switchback queue, red floor and silver walls. You were sorted into car groups before going into one of the elevators, one went up as the other came back down. Similar to the one that takes you down to the shop after the ride. (I've not been in a few years, that elevator's still there, right?) If you watch THIS video, at 1:40 you see two doors with yellow sticker on the right before the stairs, these are the elevator doors. In Richard's writeup in September 2010, he posts a pic of the exit of one of the elevators. When in the "wedge" room you lined up against a wall and were given instructions by a ride op, before moving into the room before the ride's doors. I'm thinking that meant there were at least 4 staff on ToT, probably 5. - Elevator sorter. - Wedge room greeter / person who put you into room with footprints before ride. - 2 Ride Ops. - Possible entry person at Skull to measure kids height etc.
  21. Not necessarily - The 501st themselves and Dreamworld have been at this many years now.
  22. How many of you were in on this? Looks like an epic setup brought suddenly crashing down by @JaggedJanine!
  23. A few Zero-G rolls would certainly suffice over a loop. I expect some kind of inversion, just to highlight its' difference to Superman Escape for the General Public.
