  1. No its clear there is a mega conspiracy going on about the wind!
  2. Given people were literally getting blown down the street in Surfers I dunno about that one. Remember its wind at the top not the bottom that matters.
  3. I mean it is crazy high winds all this week in the area. I know there is a lot of carry on about the ride not opening in the wind. And this is not me being apologist, but for anyone who doesn’t live close by the park, the last month or so has seen a stupid amount of high winds that are def not the norm. Just shitty timing.
  4. Given I’ve hated every single thing about the event since it left Movie World (where it was awesome!) I’d be happy if they purely focussed on good food offering and the big laser show. Tailor it more to suit Sea World than shoehorn it in… …food and drink trail through the whole park anyone? Caribbean cocktail party in Castaway bay?
  5. Leviathan is no longer listed as under maintenance and appears to be running trains.
  6. No I’m not. I actually feel bad for the genuinely disabled people who have to wade through the hordes of low lifes over there who openly delight in abusing the system. There are entire bligs devoted to it. It’s very sad but its true and also far from “a few” that take advantage. So thanks for trying to put words in my mouth but kindly refrain from jumping to such conclusions in the future.
  7. It’s mostly for people with the most inconceivable small issue possible who want to scam their way out of waiting in line. It’s the greatest abused thing at Disneyland and so
  8. Have a look and see if you can get the hungry bear restaurant Fantasmic dining package. You don’t actually eat at the show But collect quick service food earlier but then get a ticket to a reserved area for the show and get seated before everyone else. So even if you don’t take the food into account it’s basically buying a ticket to a reserved area. It’s unusual for this to be sold out so have a look. No doubt you’ll spend a pretty penny on Genie+ and individual lightning Lane tickets, that’s so worth the money. Just make sure you’re inside the park for opening as the ROR tickets sell fast.
  9. Hmmm dunno which is worse in those two scenarios...
  10. This! The park doesn’t need to be boycotted over. But I think a “WTF come on, you’re better than this” is more than fair and we can acknowledge that and move on. Defending it is not the laughable bit. No you didn’t, and no one was suggesting you did. I’d speed up it’s journey to the bin personally.
  11. Thank you for providing confirmation that DW could literally put lipstick on a pig at this point and still be praised for it. How in good faith can you look at that sign and think its in any way acceptable, DW, Luna Park, Movie World or your local council show? Its just not. Thank you for speaking on behalf of my knowledge, but the numerous pieces of 3 years old artwork in my house maybe say differently. A few of which are even of Emma Wiggle so…
  12. The black face thing was a joke… I can assure you’d I’d have issue if she was white, purple, red, green, pink or orange… that’s probably the shittiest piss poor joke of a thing I’ve ever seen in a professional setting. Its laughably bad. Its not an enthusiast nit picking, it’s an adult with eyes seeing something a 3 year old could draw better. I mean every single person involved in that job on the sign should feel somewhat embarrassed. It was not a “good job” and they did not go to any “effort” so thanks but not thanks with your quote jibe there.
  13. I mean WTF is that? It’s literally blackface on a sign at this point…
  14. That’s not my question though. The carny operators are way more loose in their operations and don’t seem held to the same WPHS standards as the parks. How?
  15. So here is a genuine question… Given Village (or Dreamworld) don’t just invent painful load procedures and extensive safety systems for the fun of it; they jump through whatever hoops the government makes them. How do the carny operators get away with not doing half the safety stuff that the parks have to do?
  16. 100%, I was referring to the nonsense that followed. Banging along the bottom doesn’t sound like a fun ride.
  17. Ok we can all calm down with the alarm. The ride is not TRR, the park is not pre-accident Dreamworld. There is nothing to indicate here or at any time in the past that Movie World operate their attractions in any way that is unsafe at anytime.
  18. I didn’t say parks dislike enthusiasts, they do like them, they make them money. I said they roll their eyes at them, which is correct and it’s posts like the above that are why. Sorry if that truth bomb triggers some people. I think it’s a pretty fair comment given the post created it’s own story, decided the park did that story wrong, and criticized it… This happens a lot, and is why I made the above statement. There is more to being into theme parks than always trying to find what’s wrong with them. Sometimes they can just be fun and the negative can be shrugged off as insignificant.
  19. Im very concerned… Its now been 4 mins since anyone posted about Leviathan’s opening status. How can a thread dedicated to reviews of the precinct survive? I mean that’s a pretty big call for ‘what I’ve heard’
  20. Not agreeing or disagreeing. But perhaps its a case that the scheduled closures are ‘locked in’ but unscheduled ones live pull data from Accesso so until the daily closures go live it doesn’t update? Could be more a case of poor design rather than deliberately malicious??
  21. This is why parks roll their eyes at enthusiasts. Sometimes it’s nice just to say good job rather than pick at insignificant details when they are clearly going to a lot of effort.
