Ha I did see that and it took me till the second day for it to click where the tower was. If that's the biggest fault one can find with the park then it's doing pretty well. I've been in SoCal for an evening now and already encountered 2 rude Disney staff and the general asshokes of this park of the world. Give me the PF folk any day.

Tough call really. For me Thunderhead was a real winner cause I love a bat shit crazy woody. I did enjoy Wild Eagle but it was my first wing rider so can't really comment on how it compares with others. Fire Chaser is an awesome ride, so well done as a family/thrill balance. My suspicions were confirmed that Movie World NEEDS this ride. Everything is great though, the flume (boats looked very familiar lol) was a nice surprise. And it's got to have the best theme park train ever. But it's more than rides, food is a big attraction and just atmosphere over everything else.

I think the differentiating factor here is just being Diagon Alley is an attraction in itself. Well if you're a potter fan, if you're not then it's just like any other single attraction land. Problem is there aren't the die hard fans of avatar and there also isn't a single location to re create from Star Wars. If I draw a comparison, I recon everyone still would have thought radiator springs was amazing if it only had the e ticket.

So I've just finished two amazing days at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge Tn, USA. I really just wanted to great this thread in order to tell everyone if you ever have a chance to visit this park DO IT. It is simply one of the most beautiful places I've visited, both in aesthetics and people. Whoever said DIsney is the Happiest Place on Earth is wrong because the people at this park are happier than any I've encountered anywhere. The other thing is that this park has this completely real and genuine feel to it, it doesn't feel like a fibreglass imitation of something else, hard to describe until you see and experience it. The several attractions it has are all top notch and worth a visit on their own, but when you couple the atmosphere, food and entertainment I believe this park becomes a MUST visit. Check it out!

MW Mini Driving School - Officially Confirmed
rappa replied to Brad2912's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Ok I have to say I think enough is enough about mini cars and the complaining and bitching. Yes many if you are upset over the decision, but you know what, it's been made and no matter how many posts you keep making they are not going to change their plans and put in the ride you desire. So could we just move on from this and discuss the ride on its own merits and stop comparing it to what you wanted to be built instead? -

Why do you say they are identical to Speedy Cars? Have you seen them? And the buildings look higher than 2m to me in that photo... So if the ride has a mini mini movie world in it, does that mini movie world ride have a mini mini mini movie world in it and then a mini mini mini mini movie world inside it? -
Doomsday - Potential New Tower Ride at Movie World

For a little kid getting to meet Superman would be pretty exciting. Not everything is for theme park enthusiasts -
And doesn't sound like these are mechanical breakdowns (correct me if I'm wrong?) so age of the ride really doesn't come into it. Scooby doesn't go down because it's old, it goes down because it's complex.

Doesn't really matter. It's not like coasters are on the shelf at a supermarket. Really even if there's one or two others , each one may as well be a one off in the construction/production sense. There is a lot to go wrong with even simple rides in order to make them safe.

God sometimes crap is posted on here. If the boats are getting stuck it's a design issue, Mack designs the ride so it's actually their fault not Sea Worlds (which is two words by the way experts). The ride in the greater scheme of things is relatively new and sometimes bugs develop. Does anyone post on here how many times Scooby goes down in a day? There's plenty of times complaining is valid but some of the above comments are just silly.

Kinda the thing though, Sea World is built around seeing the shows so if you skip them and animals you won't fill your day.

SFMM - Colossus to close August 16, 2014
rappa replied to Reanimated35's topic in Theme Park Discussion
After I calmed down I've learnt there is strong speculation it's actually for a rework of the ride which may get the RMC treatment. That I'd be find with as the coaster is nothing like when it opened anyway. -

To be fair we don't know that Looney Tunes WON'T feature. I think the thing is, this attraction needs to be looked at in isolation when making a judgement on it. Whatever it is the right replacement for the river ride is a separate discussion really. -

Riddlers Lair was in Sound Stage 1 and I'm guessing maybe 10-15 years ago? When did that movie come out?
-
I feel very sorry for anyone who bought those in the hope to actually use them. They were ex outback spectacular and RIDDLERS LAIR so nothing you want around for Carnivale
-
If the driving school ride comes in I also agree time for Speedys to go. There's a fair bit of land there up the middle of the land, maybe a new signature outdoor ride could be next. Maybe something that kids and parents can ride. Like one of those little parachute drops or something.

Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster fire and lighting effects

The ball rotates around it's axis so the operator who is strapped into the seat remains upright.
