  1. I believe they also re-tracked the entire ride when it was closed a few years ago...
  2. Gremlins was not a "water ride" as such, but it did have some water elements in it, from memory it was mainly Gremlins trying to squirt the guests in their vehicles.
  3. The smoothest rides in LW are generally in the very front and very back seats, but this can vary from ride to ride...
  4. Its because he is constantly saying it WILL be up by such and such a date instead of SHOULD be up by such and such a date. Sorry Tony, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but you should NEVER say anything WILL be done by a certain time, you should say it SHOULD be done by such and such a date, but we will let you know (when we can) if there is going to be a delay in the update/launch/whatever.
  5. I was doing some market research for VTP on Tuesday and it looks like they may be offering 2 & 3 park annual passes. I think if VTP does go ahead with these multi-park passes it can only be a good thing..........
  6. I believe POTC was a book then a ride then a movie. Can anyone confirm this?
  7. The shipping company would not know weather the part they were shipping was for a space shot, a new tower going up in New York or going to be part of the new assembily line in the Lego factory that is in Mexico. All they know is they have a big metal thing on their truck/ship/plane and it needs to get from A to B. The shipping company has obvioulsly just got the location wrong. It happens all the time. At work we quite often have parts going to a store down the street or over to Perth. They all eventually get to where they need to be.
  8. Repeat this after me. I DO NOT want a Tilt Coaster. I DO NOT want a Tilt Coaster. I DO NOT want a Tilt Coaster. I DO NOT want a Tilt Coaster. I DO NOT want a Tilt Coaster.
  9. Or im sure one of the fine people from this forum that are going to the event and can drive would be more than happy to drop you off to a train station
  10. Just because MW is putting in a 60m space shot doesnt mean that MW doesnt have a height limit. This limit could be 62m, it could be 3000000000m (well not quite that much, but you get the idea). It all depends on how the land is zoned and the council allowing attractions of varying heights. Before Superman went it the hight limit could have been 30m and has since been changed because the council can see the revenue that having higher attractions etc can mean to the local economy.
  11. What richard was saying is Disney earns less per dollar than Dreamworld does. Overall Disney would of course earn more money, beacuse they have much more dollars (and guests) coming in than Dreamworld has.
  12. I agree that Loony Tunes does need to be refubished, but it does not need to be replaced at all. Movieworld would just not be Movieworld if Looney Tunes wasnt there. It is one of the few original rides from when the park opened (infact if I am correct its the only original ride left)
  13. Just because you think a ride is a waste of space doesnt actually mean it is a waste of space. Loony Tunes is a kids answer to Wild Wild West (oops, I mean Willd West Falls). Would you be happy if they turned WWF into Charlie and the chocolate factory just becase I thought it was a waste of space?
  14. But you can always use recycled/grey water to water grass on golf courses. This is water that doesnt come from our drinking supplies and therefore shouldnt affect the "drought" as such.
  15. Rocket slide appears to be complete (including the raft lift). Doesnt look like the last slide has started vertical construction as yet, but I have seen some purple sections of slide sitting off to the side (beside Tornado and Rocket) that I am assuming would be for the last mystery attraction.
  16. It doesnt have to be deliverd anymore.....was at MW today and saw parts of the tower sitting in the same area at the back of the carpark where superman track was. About 3 or 4 tower sections, and I am guessing another 2 or 3 to be delievered? It is currently grey in colour, but I think it will be painted a differnt colour once it is installed.
  17. And isnt the shaking lockers at a 90 degree angle to the launch? If they are (god I hope my memory hasnt failed me yet in my young age) then that whole area could quite possibly be the maintance area. Best to check with MW, im sure they would know!
  18. Definatly cannot use the "space" next to the launch of superman...this is the matinance area for the ride, and im not sure the riders of "Saturday Night Fever" would appreciate being hit by Superman's transfer/storage track EDIT: Spelling
  19. I think its more getting the services/paths/major buildings initially set up and to where they need to be that costs the most. Once there is power, water, gas and what ever else they need to run any attraction, I honestly dont think the actual attraction costs that much to design/construct. It is very expensive to get power anywhere under ground, and the same goes for water and gas as well....I would say a lazy river would cost no more than $3-4 million to add in the future now that the park should have most services that it needs to run an attraction like this, which in the scemem of things really isnt that much outlay for a very high capasity attraction like a lazy river. Maybe we will see one next season?
  20. Or they could rip out the "preshow" and have a "pre ride" instead....I like that idea!
  21. Go with a season pass holder whoes birthday it is that month that has not used their 4 for 1/2 price voucher yet!
  22. Or you could just de-interlace the video first and you would get a perfectly clear shot!
  23. I dont believe they are bringing out the expansions for mac (which really irks me)...If you have a mac with an intel processer, you can run windows on it!
  24. Were these slides yellow and (from memory) greeen or red (cant remember which one)?
  25. Ahh, I get it...its gonna be the new pool for the housemates!
