  1. It's been like that since the teaser was released It's still open now... those lucky security people
  2. The ride is manufactured by Sinorides, and appear to be a chinese company, with a very extensive portfolio. https://www.sinorides.com/360-large-pendulum-rides/ This seems like a complete accident and should be investigated extremely thoroughly because for the ride to snap like that, multiple welds and reinforcements have failed. (This is the smaller model of the ride, i'm assuming the one in the video is the same scaled up as there is a boxy panel covering how it attaches to the axel/swingy bit) The scope of these rides are very very different. One of them is a permanent fixed attraction and the other one looks like it could be moved to a different park each week. King Claw is manufactured by INTAMIN, whereas i've never heard of—and i'm sure no one here has heard of— Sinorides. Most of these gyro swings are manufactured by Zamperla and INTAMIN, both are very reputable companies in the Amusement Ride and Coaster Space. The new one opening at Six flags Qiddiya is Zamperla iirc. It won't stop me from going on gyro swings, I've been on a bunch and always felt safe. But everyone has their own reactions to events like these happening.
  3. I know you know. I just posted that for the people that dont/didnt understand.
  4. Movie World does, they have 7. One in the same spot as Steel Taipans and another 6 (one for each car) Excuse the awful photo (had to mess with the colours so you can see inside)... but it shows how this works, the 2nd wheels run on the metal railings and are pushed by the drive tyers and these are the wheels that run along the rails, the white wheels (hyperia's trains)
  5. Another relatively quiet new coaster is also opening at USJ tomorrow! https://www.usj.co.jp/web/en/us/campaign/snoopy-festival#:~:text=July 18%2C 2025-,Snoopy's Flying Ace Adventure,-One of Snoopy's Its rumoured to be a Vekoma family coaster, but I don't think the layout is known. This is great for a park that desperately needs capacity.
  6. Can second this. Went by on the bus earlier this week and saw Rivals testing the whole time we were stuck in the carpark. Checking the maintenance schedule it seems Superman Escape has shit the bed again and is now closed, hence why they tried to get Rivals reopen sooner.
  7. WOW. Didn't believe it, might have to eat my shoe now. Credit: @Ogre https://youtu.be/A167cee14tY
  8. Yes it is, railing and the few pieces that have arrived, match the concept. (Photo Credit: Gold Coast Theme Parks)
  9. 2 train ops shortens the ride duration in comparison to when they're running one.
  10. Thoughts on MW installing dispatch screens similar to Toutatis or Rapterra to 'help' with dispatches? A part of me thinks it would help if they have realistic fast dispatches as the benchmark however, knowing VRTP they'd pour lots of money into it, fail to maintain the screens and before you know it they're all off and not working.
  11. As soon as Dreamworld gets that one-two punch coaster lineup (they’ve already got the two—Steel Taipan—just need the one), I think Movie World will really need to rethink what they’re doing. Anything on that survey about an app? I didn't receive it. I think that's something the park is missing, I cannot wait for the days when I don't have to walk across the park to find out how long Steel Taipan or Giant Drops waits are, or when I don't have to fiddle with Apple Wallet to get my pass at the front gate. The park map on the website is built using https://attractions.io/maplayr which in theory should allow for an app.
  12. Thats where they already park 1 of the 2 trains. 1 Train in the Station other in the Mech Bay. The park would never purchase another train unless they're replacing one. The cost to add the maintenance infrastructure would be something that VRTP doesn't want to pay for. Additionally from what I've heard at the parks, the ability for a ride to run multiple trains is dependant on how many people are rostered per attraction... once again we all know VRTP likes to keep costs as low as possible.
  13. The rides maintenance had been extended and scheduled to reopen on the monday, same with batwing. Batwing opened at 12:30.
  14. No changes, just didn't open at all on Monday and I heard that it was a bit on off on Tuesday. Park new this and still ran rivals with one train. Full queue, 70 min + wait, single ride queue full, awful dispatches. Good stuff Movie World!
