King Claw - Larger Replacement Intamin Gyro Swing for Dreamworld
TV15 replied to Tricoart's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yes it is, railing and the few pieces that have arrived, match the concept. (Photo Credit: Gold Coast Theme Parks) -
2 train ops shortens the ride duration in comparison to when they're running one.

Thoughts on MW installing dispatch screens similar to Toutatis or Rapterra to 'help' with dispatches? A part of me thinks it would help if they have realistic fast dispatches as the benchmark however, knowing VRTP they'd pour lots of money into it, fail to maintain the screens and before you know it they're all off and not working.

TV15 started following Japan 2025 Trip - Update , DW Annual Passholder Survey and This Ride Ruined Movie World.

As soon as Dreamworld gets that one-two punch coaster lineup (they’ve already got the two—Steel Taipan—just need the one), I think Movie World will really need to rethink what they’re doing. Anything on that survey about an app? I didn't receive it. I think that's something the park is missing, I cannot wait for the days when I don't have to walk across the park to find out how long Steel Taipan or Giant Drops waits are, or when I don't have to fiddle with Apple Wallet to get my pass at the front gate. The park map on the website is built using https://attractions.io/maplayr which in theory should allow for an app.

Thats where they already park 1 of the 2 trains. 1 Train in the Station other in the Mech Bay. The park would never purchase another train unless they're replacing one. The cost to add the maintenance infrastructure would be something that VRTP doesn't want to pay for. Additionally from what I've heard at the parks, the ability for a ride to run multiple trains is dependant on how many people are rostered per attraction... once again we all know VRTP likes to keep costs as low as possible.

The rides maintenance had been extended and scheduled to reopen on the monday, same with batwing. Batwing opened at 12:30.

No changes, just didn't open at all on Monday and I heard that it was a bit on off on Tuesday. Park new this and still ran rivals with one train. Full queue, 70 min + wait, single ride queue full, awful dispatches. Good stuff Movie World!

For those of you who are unfamiliar, a block zone is a section of a ride that only one train may occupy at a time. At the end of a block zone there is a method to stop the train, in case the block zone ahead is still occupied. This is the safety system that prevents rollercoaster trains from colliding with one another. The train disengaged from the lift hill and derailed at the top of the hairpin turn, off the beyond vertical drop, meaning that until it cleared the first mid course brake run, the following train wouldn't be able to enter this section and it would stop at the top of the lift hill. At no point could two ride vehicles collide.

I think the work environment is ruined and has been for a long time, nothing new there. I don't agree with his new ride proposals/revamp of the park nor what he thinks a movie theme park is, but I do support the work environment changes, it starts from the top. I feel the same about this, for a while it was just day after day of clickbait titles. Superman escape aligns with the movie theme, it puts us into the story immersively. Batwing worked with Wayne manor beside it as it was an immersive mini land prior to the addition of GL & DC Rivals. Wild West Falls is timeless, despite it being the largest ride in the park and eventually the time will come to replace it. WB Kids worked with the looney tunes ride, but now its showing its age. Green Lantern is essentially a Six Flags ride, DC rivals is similar but the ride experience makes up for it. We've come full circle now Movie World doesn't have any space left without removing existing attractions. This is very true. I don't think Movie World understands the value of their annual pass holders as much as Dreamworld does. We visit the parks off peak and deal with the BS maintenance closures, we spend our money there, we are the backbone of the park during this time. The least they could do is give us some useful perks to show their appreciation. A discount on food/beverages and upchange experiences would be appreciated even if limited to eg, 4 uses per month. Similar to the Dreamworld events, give us after dark events that may come at a small cost on top of the ones already included in our passes. Movie World having extended hours in winter would be perfect. Park doesn't have to be open that late for everyone to get night rides. Renewing my pass is entirely dependent on when Scooby opens & the if the wait was worth it. I have no issues with taking my business up the road.

For the workplace environment claims that are made, these are 100% true. Sometime last month, Movie World collaborated with Getahead, a mobile job app, and the claims made about the work environment at VRTP couldn’t be further from the truth. With the help of @Coppertine, here are a few screenshots from the post that have since been deleted.

Superman Escape forces, I was quite surprised about how forceful the launch/tophat actually are.

Thought that instead of posting this in TPWW - Top 25 coasters I'd post it here. It might be worthwhile checking out the ride closures for USJ and Tokyo Disney Resort, as they're all up for this year: https://www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/tdl/monthly/stop.html https://www.usj.co.jp/web/en/us/park-guide/schedule/attraction-closure#202503 The only noteworthy credit that I missed out on was Raging Spirits when I visited at the end of January this year, additionally if your visiting after March, I'm fairly sure that the whole entry process to fantasy springs will change again, most likely allowing for standby queue and of course an abundance of paid premier access passes.

I find it fairly impressive that Dreamworld can keep Steel Taipan open for most of the year. I've visited these parks and I have had coasters closed, yes it sucks whilst your there, but those parks have the ability and resources to condense those closures into 4-5 day turnarounds, where as ours don't. Yes, some of our closures are absurdly long, and it is about 30% maintenance, 70% not operating the ride (however when you think about it, over 5 years this should give the ride an extra year of life), it's unfortunately just the way it is. If you don't like it, vote with your wallet. Don't keep on handing your hard earned money over, the state the park is in at the moment is appalling, they opened a sub par land at the end of last year, and your wallet would be the only way to get VRTP listening. But that won't happen for a while (probably never), DC Rivals & Leviathan keeps me renewing my pass year after year.
