Damn it, the site isn't working properly so this time i'm going to make this post quick. Yes, the themeing for the sci-fi and spooky parts of rct3 is very kewl. Perhaps they should have an aliean landing on a beach in Ocean Parade? And the alieans could have a pool with sharks with friekin laser beams attached to their heads perhaps? (muahahahahahaha). But yeah, those neon lamps in rct3 are way cool.

Those ones have been there ever since Cyclone opened, although they don't use them alot. Like rabid said (I think), it's only a fluke if they decide to turn the tv's on. I should be down there again soon, so I'll be able to get some more photos on here. And a quick question for you paul, is your MSN working?
-
The first photo where the pool has been painted was taken on the 1st of December (last Wednesday). The second photo was taken on the 25 of October. They have been working on the WipeOut for well over a month. I think it's safe to say that when it opens back up, it'll be really nice. New paint, and no more life endangering noises.

From what I know in the electrical area, the type of cable that transmits from camera to the splitters and then into the lcd tv's require a certain type of power "re-applier" that keeps the signal from being lost every "x" amount of metres. It's possibly that the electrical fields, or the weight or pressure from the claw or other sorrounding fields could be disrupting the signal. This is what has been happening recently. Basically it'll flicker on and off, or off entirely. I don't know how everybody seems to be so happy about these new lcd screens. They have several million to spend on new updates, then yet, they chose to put lcd screens in, whereas they could re-do the themeing to make it twice as good as some crappy show on tv where the themeing would a whole lot better. There are holes in the foam in the tot, but hey, people won't notice if there's some dodgy crap on a bunch of televisions huh? Here are some photos of the themeing in pieces everywhere.

For the last time, they're not going to remove it. Lke you said, you enjoy it, and why would they remove a much loved ride? Please everyone, read the post fully next time. I think I'll post some more photos for some of you about the Wipeout and its maintenance. Oh, and that Tower Of Terror photo is kewl too.

The only reason that the shark or "fluffy" as he as known is out of the pool is they're still working on Wipeout. Why would they keep in Fluffy while they do construction? Move the booms around in water? That would spell corrosion given the overkill amount of chlorine in the Wipeout pool. Okay, how about some photos from last wednesday? Yes, yes, I've been holding out, but hey, I've had other things to do damnit, so here they are. A couple of new and one particularly bad thing has happened also. Good - the long awaited work in market place has started and is certainly, errrr.... demolished Bad - they are at the tot again. It's good they replaced all those UV fluro's in the top floor of the tot but they replaced them with normal fluros!!!!! Trust Dreamworld to get rid of the only good thing about the queue themeing. Oh, and the new lcd screens inside the tot queue line, from memory are sharp 17 inch lcds, and there is three of them, one inside the skull, one at the corner where the skull used to be, and one where the gate is. Enjoy the photos!

"...again making the entire project inconspicuous...errr... I mean, I have a right to look good at this hour of the morning. I have every right to wear a bow when ever I like, whether it be normal or multi-coloured. It's in a great pride..... Oh wait, I'm sorry officer, i'm acting as a decoy while we throw in more jerry cans..." 1:00am here. mmm...... But still, everyone who's reading this, it must mean you at least like WLS, and so you should go to the News Flash thread now! Yes, yes, grab your caffinated beverages and then check it out.
-
"...I've already told you officer, those 345 jerry cans delivered in a very inconspicuous semi-trailer aren't mine......" 12:16am. mmmmmmmm.....
-
Perhaps to be demolished in style? So Galbraith can you tell us a bit about yourself? Are you an ex-employee of the Wonderland saga? Meh. It's midnight. mmmm....
-
Why replace the Wipeout? It's certainly not old, and who doesn't like the WipeOut? It's some great fun, even if the capacity is somewhat lacking. And after the amount of work, especially the new paint they have put on the thing, and the bottom pool, why close it within the next few years?
-
Obviously not you, that's for sure.

Now did I directly say "They don't deserve the award because the Tower Of Terror doesn't go the full way up?" No. What I did say though is that I find that do many little problems everywhere add up. What part of the general public wants to wait for more than an hour off-peak for their favourite ride? How about waiting in a filthy environment? And then have a half working ride after all that? This general publican says "certianly not me."

So how big was the bribe Dreamworld? I can see a turn around in the park, as in, themeing in and around main street specifically has been updated quite a bit, but personally no-where near a-grade yet. How can you get an award when you have about eleven bottles of water in the middle of the mine ride queue line? And what about the literally "abandoned" themeing on most major rides? Tower of Terror's significant speed cap? How about the Giant Drop's queue time? I'm sure the judges had V.I.P. passes no doubt. Still, I just don't get it. I do enjoy Dreamworld, and support fully, but there's no way it is a high quality "theme" park. Yet.

How about Movie World, Sea World, Wet 'n' Wild and Dreamworld all join together and make on big superpark? Pretty surprising that no-one has suggested that yet. But let's think for a second, yes that's right, stop playing RCT3 for a few moments and read on. How hard would it be to convince a board of directors into building a whole new waterpark where the current "very decent" waterpark can be upgraded with more slides and a bigger pool? Which option do you reckon would be cheaper and more cost-effective? And although Dreamworld have the money to just do what ever they want (provided little bandits don't take it first, a little Rove Live tribute there) why waste money on a whole new waterpark when you already have a little one ready for some serious expansion. I'm thinking, big pool, connecting several waterslides in amoung three or so volcanic mountains. Really nice tropical shrubbery, and maybe some smoke machines running through the volcanoes to give that eery, but very cool effect.

That certainly looks nice Matty. Hope to see more stuff soon. Really soon. By the way, would anyone know where to download more scenery etc.?
-
So if it was in a tunnel, what could you do if there was a rollback?

From knowledge there are three operating Ride Trade Gyro Swings in the world. 1.Dreamworld - The Claw - Small; 32 passengers 2.Lotte World - Gyro Swing 2000 - Large; 40 passengers 3.Thorpe Park - Maelstrom - Small; (Older model) 32 passengers

I think I've said this before already here or to other people. If Dreamworld "hypothetically" put a waterpark where th TB used to be, what will happen to Blue Lagoon. Would you seriously reckon they would have two seperate waterparks or that they would bulldose a perfectly profitable waterpark?
-
No, we want more more more! I'm thinking we need a couple of park mix videos if anyone is interested.
-
The wipeout? Well I'd be giving that one a pass to be honest, as much of a fun ride as it is, maintenance wise it is a pain in the arse. And the noises that it makes, well, it doesn't rate the highest. I'd personally like a large Ride Trade Gyro Swing. Something about Intamin that seems to combine with the words nice, quality and sometimes the all popular "electrical faults".

The only thing I would change is themeing. I'm sure that Dreamworld has had very good reasons for putting it where it is, alot of which have been already mentioned, and besides, I'd rather it have the same fate as TB did instead of having it moved to somewhere else. But as for themeing, I'd put a nice big artificial mountain inside the helix before the siewinder that you go half through, and swirve around. Placing strobes etc. or even the on-ride photos and smoke around the tunnel entrances and exits would certainly give it a touch of coolness. I also like the whole Terror Canyon 2 thing. Green LEDs everywhere really giving you no idea where you are going but adding a great effect to the ride. And as for the queue. Moving turbine with dry ice smoke running down the slides to give an eery effect, fully covered roof to highlight the emergency lighting running up the queue, smoke machines down covering the bottom floor, and spotlights randomly running around the queue bolted onto the floor and being covered by the smoke, giving an extra cool effect. Need I say more?

From what I have gathered, I know that Dreamworld have been definitely been around the parks recently to check out what is hot in America. Now, I personally think that a coaster, particularly a multiple train coaster will do the park just the trick. But that's not the only necessity from my point of view. I'm thinking something with an inversion count of more than four, just to give some more thrilling at Dreamworld, seeming the entire park only has two inversions on their coasters. Now, I'm also thinking of something, like steve$ said, that will make a newly added icon to the park. Need I say flyer anyone? I have thought this through since the claw opened, and I honestly would be thinking something unique or freshly done, i.e. something not yet here in the land of OZ (rocket coaster MAUAHA). And to add a bit more to the park, allow the ride to take up a small portion of the space, and that the area nearest to ocean parade have several smaller thrill rides to continue to keep and atmosphere. And i realise that having a new waterpark would be just perfect, as I for one seem to enjoy them alot, but, if Dreamworld were to build a new water park where TB is, what would happen to Blue Lagoon? Two water parks perhaps? Perhaps not.

The actual height of the canadian tower (from memory actually at a Sea World somewhere)is technically bigger due to the fact that it is made on a hill (just like STE *shakes fist*). But our drop height is still bigger, which is all that really counts.

I wasn't avdertising, infact, I tried to stick clear of putting any slogan in there what-so-ever. All i was saying was that when it opens, he can download the content, not saying "you can register when my foolee seek website and go there instead of here even though this place is still good and all." But you're the boss, feel free to edit what i said to meet what you reckon is classed as not advertising and helping out an enthusiast.
