  1. I'd be putting my money on half of the building.
  2. Most subtle knife in the back to Dreamworld ever.
  3. Crew call and actual shooting times are two very different things.
  4. Isn't it just an employee car park area?
  5. As long as it's this kind of carnivale, i'll be there.
  6. I happen to be well connected to those in the production of the tvc, and can verify fire was always part of the plan but as the ride was still in construction at time of shoot it was added in post.
  7. The cycle we get currently certainly is extended, the latter half seeming to be a Dreamworld special. I've thrown a video in below of the only other Waiki Wave left in the world. It's been cleaned up recently and running the same program, albeit cut short as Wipeout, however prior to this it was operating on a far more trimmed down variant of our current cycle.
  8. Back to topic, and considering it seems work has started, my idea is probably moot at this point, but considering the sheer size of the shed, i've always thought having a Mermaid Lagoon-esque (Tokyo Disneysea) type indoors family area would be brilliant. You could pick and choose two or three kiddies rides from the Zamperla ride catalogue, integrate some neat merch and food/bev options, and theme the whole lot like a mini Looney Tunes land/village, thus filling the "compete with Dreamworld for time-consuming attractions that pad out a family day" quota while offering a new unique venue that has massive marketing potential (and would be awesome for private events).
  9. It's such a petty argument IMO. Just organise yourself better. It's literally just a gold coin. If money is an issue, leave your bag in the car, if it's not, buy an all day locker. To be honest I find it embarrassing that we as a community argue about two dollar lockers. No wonder Robb Alvey changed the word "locker" to show as "fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo" - seriously, kids are starving in Africa, our own country is refusing the right to refuge, Ukraine's a mess and North Korea's building nukes. With this in mind, I struggle to read a two-page discussion on a topic that's already been beaten to death that slightly inconveniences some people sometimes. For those who complain, i'm reminded of this from talented comedian Louis C.K.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnxNZiF2xSE EDIT: Sorry, wrong Louis CK rant.
  10. This is turning into a wild thread, that's for sure.
  11. So this skipped under the radar... Looks to be a Zamperla Discovery (?) aka fully inverting Gyro Swing. Will certainly add a new element to the park, especially if they have the chance to operate it at night.
  12. I'd love it if the water cannons made a return. I've only seen them operate a handful of times, but definitely added some extra "wow" to the ride.
  13. I think theming wise, they should just change their name from Dreamworld to Dreamworldks.
  14. Joint bid for Bermuda Triangle Animatronics?
  15. Congratulations to sea world for the best trolling done by a park yet.
  16. I'm guessing the netting on the scaff towers is to prevent guests from looking at the light from all the welding that's happening?
  17. Whatever the case, it seems Movie World have done a good job in Gordan-ing off the city cafe atleast, I hope they're not two-face about what they're doing inside there. I hope they get it done soon, I'd hate for them to be a joker with how long it's going to take.
  18. I many carb overload. Very bread everywhere.
  19. Whenever I read these forums, I always think.. "why so serious?"
  20. Maybe it's closed for a while due to inclement weather?
  21. Ah, yes, i'm with you now. Those theme parks are tough to survive, afterall. Just remember, get there early, kids.
  22. I'm confused. I've been fortunate enough to never yack at a park. Or have I repressed a memory?
