  1. Thank you. Serious, finally a theme park has realised that something as big as Disneyland is feasible, I mean, look how many people in Australia want to go to Disneyland in California? People would applaud the idea to save on an international ticket and head down the road, even if it means the entrance fee is a little higher.
  2. I'm so sick of people saying that. Come on, let's take Las Vegas for an example. Let's think : it's in the middle of a desert and in the middle of no-where. But because of the amount of hotels and casinos that went in to the construction, the people came. Now, do you think that when they first started making Movie World and Wet 'n' Wild, did Warner Bros. think "Gee, there's already two parks, that should be enough. Afterall, Australia's a small country." No. When you build, the masses will come, and when the masses come, it better not be in off-peak or i'll have some serious revenging to do.
  3. Now there's a classic South Park episode. They all go to a time share conference in "ass"pen thinking that they will spen thirty minutes in a meeting and rip the time share people off. But instead, the whole weekend they get stuck there in the time share building talking utter (insert profanity).
  4. I thought I'd just post in on a used ride I found recently. Anyone ask for pictures of an Intamin triple giant wheel. http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=231
  5. Yep, that's the article alright. Thanks liam, hmm... again.
  6. There should be one around about june/july next year I think. I'll keep you posted, but a town in the northern part of Brisbane called Samford holds an exhibition with several decent rides each year. Plus they always have a zipper. And then the school usually has a fete which they usually order in some sort of zipper or something similar.
  7. Yeah, with the amount of money they made from day to day operation could've bought them a whole mcvalue meal with ketchup.
  8. Yeah, that's why it was a joke. I think that from now on, everybody who has put a joke in their post must display a message at the bottom of the screen stating that some portion of the post is a joke. *WARNING. This post contains comedic material not suited for people who don't have any type of humorous bone in their body.*
  9. Can I ask what type of modification it was? Removal of the upstop wheels probably. To make it safer afterall.
  10. Alright, let's clear things up. I'm guessing Paul is referring to the two reverse cycle daikin air conditioners that are in the first, "grey" half of the tot. These are always turned on low, probably because someone has nicked of with the controller. Secondly, in the second part of the tower of terror, the are to inbuilt vents on the walls that virtually do jack and all. Lastly, there's a floor fan they got recently for the last part upstairs. Advanced technology indeed. Cyclone is indeed crap. Huge, loud fans that so sweet "f" all, and "sometimes" spray some very hot water. Apart from that, there is no way of circulating the hot air of the multiple levels of people. And as for Giant Drop, damn, don't get me started. Talk about nothing and then some.
  11. I think there's little things that aren't in place from the real park, but other than those tiny little things that only people like me would notice (god bless 'em), very fine job indeed. One thing though is to probably cut down on the shrubbery in the thunderbolt and cylone track area. The only trees around there were two patches in Thunderbolt and a strip running down the side of Cyclone parallel to the car park.
  12. Considering the fact that Vekoma's headquarters are in the netherlands and Dreamworld's engineering team are more than capable, it would be a waste of money to get those "people" in to "attempt" to "fix" the ride.
  13. I think the Vortex at Dreamworld holds a special place in my stomach and head for that matter as the only ride that made me sick for an entire day and a half. I hate spinning rides like that, so repetitive and so sickening. It kind of reminds me of Huss's singature.
  14. Is it true that one of the less knwon models (I think made by Chance) actually change the rotation of the spin about half way through the ride?
  15. I was only kidding kenny. As if themeing would cost several milllion extra instead of another couple of seats. I think I enjoy the smaller model more really. Less spin, meaning you'll face the ground and swing through the station on almost the same angle, unlike the Huss Giant Frisbees which spin insanely fast.
  16. Another good little one is you can name a person in RCT3 "john d rockefeller". It'll give you ten thousand dollars, which you can spend on a nice B&M, or at least the lift hill.
  17. Because there would be constant ads perhaps? And with ride-op circulation at Dreamworld, they have the same ride-ops for a day, with a replacement op or two about lunch time so the main ride-ops can have a break.
  18. Come on hussy, use your memory old son. The reason why they didn't buy the bigger model is because why would you waste a whole heap of money (say a few million) for another 8 seats on the ride? It's a few million that they spent on other things, like themeing, and ummmm.... themeing.
  19. Is watching the same movie several hundred times a year fun laddie?
  20. So? Do big kids like myself still ride it? And is it still a coaster?
  21. No actually. Thunderbolt was made by Meisho, Cyclone was made by Arrow, and Lethal Weapon was made by Vekoma.
  22. Yes, arrow and vekoma roughness. Pretty much the same thing really.
  23. There's nothing wrong with keeping your pride young lads. Who cares whether or not Galbraith is really Daniel? If so, excellent, finally there's some more attitude in here again, and if not, there's still gonna be some more attitude. It's a win win situation.
  24. Yes they would show a movie steve. In the reptar queue line they show the Rugrat's first movie. Unfortunately though I don't think they show it anymore because it just pisses all the ride-ops off. Imagine watching a really dodgy movie several times a day for several years?
  25. Now hold on, how old is Disneyland at Anaheim? I don't think that works as an excuse really.
