  1. Maybe they could convert the TOT to 2 pod operation, that would cut the queues and one pod could be faced in either direction.
  2. Scooby Doos Silly Stix? What was that? A slang name for a drug?
  3. Well, they dont seem to care about unpainted monorail pylons throughout the park so Supports wouldnt really bother them. An Idea could be a launch from a station near corkscrew, it would run parallel to the monorail, before entering a vertical loop and a nice wide turn around over the carpark (this would be ok, just see this pic:http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery141....htm?Picture=35 ) There would be a bit of an up and down around the turn so it isnt so dull, then a couple of barrel rolls and a sharp drop would lead into a second launch (enclosed to keep things quiet and special FX to fit with the rides theme) then the track would enter an immelan that would be fitted so the exit from it would be between shark bay and the waterpark. Then it would go along between dolphin cove and bermuda, with a zero g roll thrown in, then there would be a corkcrew and a twist and turn or two to get the ride to the brakes and the station. If you were being extra safety concious, you could put nets in where you needed them in the park, but you could theme them as fishing/cargo nets with junk in them and fishing paraphanialia hung off them artfully.
  4. Here are all examples of rides above paths, and these were just a small selection, you cant say you cant put a ride above paths becasue there are plenty of rides where this has been done. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery145...8.htm?Picture=1 http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery962....htm?Picture=10 http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery141...2.htm?Picture=9 http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery160...7.htm?Picture=4 http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery434...4.htm?Picture=7 http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery13....3.htm?Picture=4
  5. Here is a possible track for a flyer located on DWs island (BTW Rich, thanks for those dimensions, rather quite useful) A coulpe of things to note, switch to rail view and turn the camera downward (facing the ground) to get the proper flyer view, also, ignore the Gs in the lay down sections because those Gs are based on the inverted coaster position, not a flying position. The ride features include a 40m drop, overbanked turn, inline twist, half zero g roll and a high speed helix. Enjoy.
  6. How high is corkscrew? Is it only 3 stories? Well, that kind of puts my idea completley on ice, but a tunnel would not be needed over the carpark, just have hulk style nets. I dont think the ride would bother guests too much, Cali Screamin is not too loud for those at the hotel there. As for the roadway thing, this pic of kraken shows how it is overcome. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery581....htm?Picture=18 So, we can pretty much wave goodbye to any tower attractions or an impuse, darn. But then again, height restictions never stopped anyone, maybe a dive machine? Another idea could be a flyer, with sort of a circumnavergal layout, with lots of nice turns and dips, lower speed and intensity i equals less sound, but you still get an interesting and enjoyable rride. Launches could be put in if it were a vekoma.
  7. Yeah, a 16 passenger inward facing one made by Technical park, but lets not get sidetracked.
  8. Is there a fence to jump to get into there, or can you get there fairly easily, but you are not really meant to?
  9. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1141.htm There is only one, but it is a good shot, the ride seemed to have this cliff face type thing on it.
  10. Yeah, but the brakes can be built above somewhere, and the space under the station could hold the queue and maybe a shop. Another possibilty is a circumnaveragal coaster, such as a hyper, Sand filling and scream tubes would be definitley be needed near the animals, but it could work, It could start near corkscrew, with a lift hill heading south, the first drop would be a curving one over the car park, then a big curve would bring it back into the park, before lots of airtime hills, another turn around at the resort end and the brakes beside corkscrews first drop. Would be an excellent ride but Joz will probably give some reasons why it wont work
  11. What about a ride trade observation tower? The impulse is a good idea, but another idea is a coaster with a fairly out and back layout, it would be narrow so you could slot it down somwhere. A ride to do with mythologial sea creatures sounds good too. Who knows, they may get rid of corkscrew sometime, so that would make some space avaliable, but I wouldnt bet on it.
  12. Cool, that looks awesome, its so fast, but the spin looks a bit slow, cant wait till it opens, I gotta get to the GC some time soon.
  13. PS2 does have more games, but quality is more important than quantity.
  14. Not true, Vekoma has a new train design now which should make things smoother
  15. Has anyone ever been to Dazzeland, which used to be in the myer center Adelaide. It too had a powered zamperla that went quite high above the center and it also, it was named Jazz Junction I think. It had a helicopter type ride (like dream copters), Dodgems, Mexican Mini golf and a really cool indoor playground, I remember going there when I was % or so, too bad it shut.
  16. I know, I just said that. So, is there anymore news on the Street Fighter? was it at the Ekka, and will it be at the melbourne show? Do you know if it will also be at country shows (because its only one trailer)
  17. Maybe because AB had unpadded OSTRs.
  18. Where did the posters go? Do uou have anymore of those park profile posters? I think they look really good because they are colourful and contain a bit of info. A SFMM or a KBF one would be cool, then I could gety a few and put some up in my room. Also, The green you have used on this new site reminds me of AAF, the old lime green looks better IMO, but its your site anyway.
  19. Was it Geronimo you are talking about? That was a Schwarzkopf and it now operates in Adventure World in Perth
  20. Well, theres 32 seats arent there? Maybe they just mean being one of the first but not being the actual first. I would pay to be the first rider for something if I got a T-Shirt, It would be so cool to get ahead of the GP, they dont enjoy rides on as many levels as we do. And what are you reading Cleo or Dolly for anyway? The sealed section?
  21. I was listening to the radio in the car to this radio show called "the bench warmers" anyway, I heard "DW" and "claw" in the same sentence, so naturally my ears pricked up, turns out they are running a radio competition to be the first rider, you also win flights, accomidation etc. Enter at www.thebenchwarmers.com.au
  22. Well, Im pretty sure we wont use a double station or have any tunnels so that could save some money, plus it probably wont use three trains so thats even more off, It could be possible. Plus maquarrie is doing well, If the claw does well, then that would encourage them a bit? On the topic of flyers, which one had the most problems, the Vekoma or the B&M? and how long did they last for? Also joz, what can you tell us about AIR from your ride? is it all its cracked up to be? would it be good for DW? and how does that "restaining vest" work? does it zip up to hold you in? As for B&M being more expenisive than Vekoma, Its the same reason a BMW costs more than a Hyundai
  23. Why go to that effort when you could just get a 2nd hand 64 from cash converters instead of opening the case and screwing around?
  24. No, what we meant from RCT is the way shuttle coasters worked in there, the train would get pulled backward like demon and released, but there would be no second lift, it would just use the energy from the first incline to give it enough energy to do the circut backwards again, which meant a big first lift, but RCTs pysics engine, while sort of accurate, it did have some problems with accuracy, the main culprit was g forces.
  25. You cant put 64 games on Xbox, I can tell you now.
