I was looking on the net and I came across the website for prehaps the worlds most unique ride manufacturer. A couple of their rides include a water ride with some pretty good airtime and a self service coaster (if you dont belive its a coaster then check out this link . There is also a kids ride with inversion I want one in my backyard . Edit : the site is wierd, every page has the same URL, just click on "products"

Hey Joz, I was just looking over your SW site (fairly good site) but one thing that made me laugh was the disclaimer:

I thought they were called a tear drop loop or a clothoid loop.

A far cry from the professionalism of this site , but what is with all the slashes that pepper the captions?

Were you drinking red cordial when you wrote the captions for the pics?

They dont make loops that are perfectly circular because the G force is too high. The only exeption is on some of Schwarzkophs transportables which have them, but they are arranged in pairs and classified as parralel loops. anyway, the point I was making was that no matter what kind of loop it is, they are still classified as vertical loops.

They're all still vertical loops.

cool, glad you enjoyed it, but with the coaster elemets you have experienced, when have you been on a zero g roll? and what is the difference between a 360* loop and a vertical loop?

Are there any sea animals that have claws, the only one I can think is a crab, but thats a stupid animal to theme a ride around. Why on earth did they have to put a ride in Ocean parade that is nothing to do with the ocean?

Please re type your post so It makes sense. I dont think you will miss too much, If its being packed into containers now then shipping is still going to take a while. One thing that got me si the fact that they are being made in Germany and Austria, where exactly are Ride Trades' factories? I thought they would be being made somewhere in Switzerland or Lichtenstien.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking, Melbourne and Sydney really have un tapped theme park markets so I thought it would make sense for them to have a go at an easier market then a competitive Asian one. Plus I imagine they would know more about what Aussies like then Singaporeans.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, I agree if it were only just a smaller selecion of existing attractions then I doubt anyone would really be compelled to visit, especially since everyone in Sydney has had their last visits and If they saw an ad saying Wonderland had repopened they would be like "Nah I went there a little while ago and Its smaller, so why bother" It would be better if someone else built one somewhere else, maybe at Olympic Park and made it a Theme Park, Not an Amusment Park. The simple fact is that there are 4 million people in Sydney and a theme prk would be totaly viable if it were done well enough. But in the mean time just let ING do whatever and wait till someone else can come up with something better. I think there is little point in just getting an unpopular park and making it smaller, Those who visited it lots and were attatched to it would like it but everyone else probably wouldnt and If they did this Mini WL it would probably just go bankrupt.

LOL, good observation, but you know a deal like that wouldnt actually be too bad in real life, A whole month or so of DW for just tagging along with someone. Maybe that typo is something you could send into Choice Magazines' "The Hard Word" section. Things are pretty slow at the moment but the footers for Gyro Swing 1 would have cured by now, when are things going to go vertical?

Well, Im hoping that Wodnerland is re-incarnated, It would be great to see someone with some idea on running a theme park well to revive it. With SRRs channel being re done, well if it were just being demolished then they wouldnt bother doing it up, and with this stuff people are saying about keeping the park in good nick till the demolition, well, why re seal the channel now, after the park has closed? Its not in use so why would thye bother spending maitnence money now? Im confused.

Its kinda hard to explain in words, I have built the ride in NL, but it was one of my earlier designs. Have a look and its quite different.

Yeah, that would be cool, but instead of just making the ride be launch, top hat and brakes, the last section of the ride could be a very twisty high speed track escaping plummenting fireballs, tornados cracks appering in the ground etc, then the brakes could be in the "loading dock" of that space station. And when they get off they would be told via loudspeaker they had made it safely. Now, onto my ride, It is an inverted coaster called 'The Storm'. It would be located in a part of a park named flood valley. The ride would be on a hillside with millions of litres of water gushing down the hillside into a central lake where the roofs of houses are barley visible. The queue area would be on tressle bridges above the water, misters would give the whole ride area that wintry look. The loading sation would be made of stone and timber. The train would depart the station and enter a helix that goes underneath the station, water would rush in a creek below. A short tunnel would lead into the lift up the hillside, thunder noises via loudspeaker and ambient strobes would give a thunderstorm feel up the lift. At the top a fan would create an alminghty gust of wind that would apper to blow the train out of the lift and into a nemesis style firts drop, sequential water jets would fire around the train. the train would gain speed and whip through a corkscrew and into a second drop , before going through a high speed cutback, then there would be a sharp upward incline that leads into an inline twist, the riders are given a breather through a wide u turn, but a dam would open under the track sending a huge torrent of water down the hill. the train would then hurtle down a drop toward water level and up into a loop, with a hugh jet ow water positioned so that there is a near foot collision with it. then a high speed helix would whip riders around before putting them through a cork twist (like on raptor) then a final turn would lead into the brakes. Throughout the ride would be other water effects, and a river rapids ride would make use of the space underneath. providing foot choppers on the rafts.

Did anyone notice the ride named "Snowy River Rampage" The bright coloured slide dont really do much for me, it would be better if they were brown and dark reds, to give it a more rustic look. I love how Coolangatta racer has that spiral tunnel start, way cooler than super 8. I doubt anyone over here would try that, its just to tacky, cheesy and cliche nad it just makes you want to cringe, much like that sky tour thing at centerpoint tower in sydney, only good bit was that simulator.

What? SW's water park has 2 freefall slides, 2 speed slides and 2 tobbogans all of which are thrilling, and DW's water parks only thrill slide is the one tobbogan.

I think at the SW one they should just rip it out and build a single high density tower with stacks of slides coming out, and use the rest of the space for the normal part of the park. It would give them a new attraction to market and it could be themed nicley, for example Ballast water bay (Sea port theme), clownfish habour (reef theme),The Navy Landing (navy theme), Pirates Inlet,(Pirate theme) or Bangalow Beach (Tropica island theme). As for DW, I say just continue the theme, maybe ad a bowl slide, a master blaster and a few other body slides and raft slides and they will have a winner. Of the two parks id Say SW is better for thrills but DW is better for a nice atmosphere.

Well that not me, but Ill Try: 1 - Disney World 2 - The Rest of Disneys Parks 3 - Alton Towers 4 - Islands of Adventure 5 - Cedar Point 6 - Busch Gardens 7 - SF Magic Mountain 8 - Blackpool Pleasure Beach 9 - Europa Park 10 - Tivoli Gardens I have probably forgotten some good parks but thats all I could think of.
