And, if you own No Limits you can be a ride op for your coasters on there too.
-
Well, its sort of a necessary evil for ops to be a bit pushy, but as long as they are polite then there is no problem. I mean it annoys me when people complain about a long line for a ride, yet at the same time complain about ops telling them what to do. On every ride the bottleneck that causes lines is the loading process, so it is in their best interests to try and get people organized and on board quickly and using as many of the available seats as possible (Thats why on Superman they always call for single riders) . What are they supposed to do, just let people (who are in a theme park remeber, so the brain isnt switched on) into the station and wait around for them to work it out themselves. All he said was that he didnt get to ride rita so SE was his first launching coaster, and to him launching to 100kmhˉ¹ was the scariest thing ever. Normally I just walk out the doorway, or walk towards the sign that says "exit" But i found WBMW staff friendly, if you asked them something they would answer you nicley and they fulfilled special requests (Eg giving change from food in a way that i would have the right coins for a locker)

But last year they spent less (only Dorothys Rosy Teacups Ride and Nightmares and Flowrider) These would be a fair bit less than $6 mil. The way the capital expenditure allotment is set up means if they dont spend it, it just gets put aside for the future. So they actually would have plenty for a coaster. -
I love the gravel theming around the Rip.

Woah, great trip report. If you feel like it go longer even, its great to see trip reports that go into detail rather than just say something like "Went to WW, it was kewl, BRO rokked!!!!1111". Im still a bit confused about the temple of huey set up, is Broken Headz a 2 person slide, but are Cut Snake and Screamin' Right Handers both single person slides?

You know, that idea isnt half bad, i might actually rejig that a bit (use a different ride system obviously since its going to MW)
-
Ah yes, I remember seeing that thing going when I was in Sydney in 2003. Would have been cool to take a trip on it but we didn't have time.us
-
Good Idea, i might get on to that one. Dunno why you think it looks like Lethal Weapon though, my design has none of the inversion types that Lethal Weapon has Edit: I just realized this thread was for MW related rides...disregard

Hey, this thread is active again... Anyway, heres a theme for a ride, I posted it over on Ozcoaster, but since this came up, and for the benefit of those who dont read the boards there I'll post it here. Its basically an inverted coaster that twists and turns through alleyways and trenches in a Morrocan city, narrowly avoiding walls and washing lines. The story would be that you have wandered into the catacombs under the city, where you awaken a spirit, it becomes enraged and takes you into its grasp, and then hurls around the city in a destructive rampage. The first pic shows the layout in red and the queue route in blue (since the buildings/trenches/tunnels obscure parts of the track) The second pic is a nice clear version.

To simulate boarding a log flume? Ill second that though, a half pipe at WnW would be grossly over capitalising and really not fitting in with what is on offer. Why cant it just go to SW? They could do with another ride as has been discussed before. But just reflecting on djrappas post, a water park that isnt next to DW doesnt necessarily have to be WnW...think about the 'other' waterpark. If it were there it would be in a dry park anyway.

Can anyone post some pics of the outside of the attraction? Have they done anything cool, or is it just a big tent like Prison Break at LPM?
-
If you want to avoid furthering this image you might want to change this line in your profile But hey, look on the bright side, you got your name on AAL, normally you have to own a website to do that.

I would have thought that if the concrete is hot you would try to take long steps, not short ones, so you can cover the distance faster and minimise the time your feet are in contact with the ground.

Superman Escape Closed For Maintenance
Gazza replied to Gold Coaster's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Oh man, i feel sorry for you. At least its going to be open when I go. Look on the bright side though, you can ride Batwing heaps in the morning, and then visit WWW in the arvo, so your trip will still be worth it. -
This topic has made it on to AAL ( http://australianamusementlowdown.blogspot.com/ for those of you too lazy to type that big URL )

Out of the coasters I have ridden, SE then SDSC were my favourites. Out of the ones I havent ridden, the two B&M terrain inverts, Nemesis and Black Mamba are my favourites.

MoviePark Germany comes with 4 New Attractions´07
Gazza replied to AugustVonPolen's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Because the German park isn't affilated with Warner Bros. any more so they wouldn't be using the movie licences anymore. -

Lol, I dont realy have a problem with it, ever since DW stopped involving sites with media events etc then I dont really see the point in "maintaining a good relationship". I mean what are they going to do now if they find out people are talking about rides early? They dont support us anyway so they cant really do anything. But obviously GoGoBoy knows what he is doing, his contact would have said what is ok to say and what isn't. I think the main reason nobody knew about the ride prior is because nobody thought to ask. Noooo no GoGoBoy, dont say that! Wait for the offical press release from the park with regard to how many helixes it will have And DWRulz, have a look at how other people do quoting, delete off all the other bits of the post and only have the relevant bit. -
Ease up, he's new so hes just getting a feel for the site. But I suppose this is good for me, Ill be studying in Brisbane next year and working in the peak season at a park is something I want to do.

Dunno about that one, I mean have a look at this pic of Sponge Bob water play: http://www.roller-coaster.com.au/gallery.p...d=6&image=5 But then look at the sort of space needed as shown on the manufacturers website: http://www.prestonbarbieri.com/view/2/4/101.htm I have another idea, they should remove Reef Diver and then build a Giga Coaster in its spot -
Yeah, just not in this thread. Im going to say though that I think this coaster is coming here and not to Germany, there are just too many bits of evidence that are all coming together. -The fact it will be a surfrider coaster (If anyone read the John Menzies interview posted on Ozcoaster he did mention the fact it would "give a sensation like surfing" -The fact the article in Parkworld refered to Movie World and not Movie Park, i think since the magazine is European they simply may have made the assumption the ride was going to Germany -The rumors that the ride would be going to MW instead of SW -And the fact Movie Park has already established what they are adding. But given that, I would rather see the ride at SW. Even I am stumped as to how this sort of ride could lend itself to being themed to a Warner film, yet it could probably work better at SW with a surfing theme. Also having a look on google maps satellite http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-27.955304,...p;t=k&hl=en you can see there are quite a few spots where it could sit in quite nicley, It wouldnt be sqashed at all. In fact if you have a look at this photo here http://www.coasterclub.org/gallery/display...=115&pos=11 you can see the ride is actually quite small and could be chucked in anywhere, heck they could even steal a small chunk of the waterpark and place it basically where the tobbogan slide used to be.

Gazza replied to AugustVonPolen's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Oh, LOL sorry about that, I felt like writing it the proper way for a change, but the ֿ¹ is just the way you write it in physics and it means the same thing. Those who play RCT/RCT2 might have seen this convention used when you look at how fast your coaster is going. But if you know your index laws you can see how they mean the same thing below (Ive explained this in a couple of ways below, look at one or the other) -

On the first point, i think maybe a top speed of 70 kmhֿ¹ or so given the size of the area and the fact it will probably be family oriented so it cant be too fast. On the second point, it would have to reach the speed under a determined number of seconds because if it didn't the launch would last for all of eterninty, but ill say 3 or so seconds and I can imagine DW using this as a marketing point (As they do with TOT: "Reach 160 kmhֿ¹ in 7 seconds") -

Hmm, interesting topic, but anyway.... I thought about that, and yes it would be cool (It would be like corkscrew at SW with the track swooping under the monorail), but its just a question of wether DW thinks its worth the effort. But see, DW has been getting plenty of visitors so I guess adding new rides in a random manner works for them, dissapointing IMO but thats just the way they run. See, the funny thing with that is the fact SE has run really well this year, I think it is more to do with the parks that run them. Nah, Zamperla use some sort of cable system too, see the second pic down at http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewt...d69f9021ebdb198 And also, there is a fourth company that makes Motorbike coaster (this was revealed in 2004), see http://www.schaefer-amusement.com/ Yep The one at disney has a catch car that runs on its own track in the middle and the catch car is moved by LSMs.
