When i was there I found it uncomfortable so I only rode it twice. I think the most cost effective way to enhance rider comfort is just to replace the restraints with the new rubber vest restraints Vekoma now uses. Vekoma does do these sort of refits, and if they did it would eliminate headbanging completley and provide a softer, more free ride. And hey since they look like vests maybe riders could be told they are putting on bullet proof vests in keeping with the theme of the ride. Edit: and heres a pic.

Im sort of suprised about the queues for Huey. Terror Canyon at WnW tends to get huge waits, but here as you said its only a short wait, and thats with low capacity one man tubes.

You can get Super Mario 64 on the virtual console so thats as close as you will get for now. I think Super Mario Galaxy is coming out some time early to mid next year so you can get your fix then . I havent heard anything about a mario kart yet, but I imagine there is one in the works.

LOL, gotta love what that site considers a cheat code: Gee, i dunno how everyone has been managing without that bit of info Anyway, here are some genuine things to try: -In Tennis hold down '2' while doing the "Hold A&B to start" thing and keep it held during the black screen that follows. You end up playing on the blue training court. -In Bowling hold down left, up, or down while pressing A to get through the "ensure there are no objects around you" warning screen and keep it held to get a different coloured ball. (I think left gives pink, down gives green and right gives yellow. -In the bowling "power throws" training game, make the ball roll down the very side of the lane right to the end so it rolls under that red light you can see at the end. The floor shakes and you get a strike (LOL thats over 200 pins).

LOL, i didnt think my idea was that amazing, if at all. All i did was clarify the correct model that they would be using. Personally, if I was doing this i would firstly get rid of the current mountain. It would be too difficult getting a crane inside the mountain to put up track segments for example, and you would end up having to cut so many new holes and make so many adjustments to it, that it wouldn't be worth it. The new mountain would occupy the same spot as the current one, but tracks would simply extend over the lake (no point really trying to cover it, that would be quite expensive, would harbour aglae and wouldnt look that good anyway) I think a better approach could be to just have it as low as possible to the night water level, with a few mine related structures on stilts in the lake (have one of those timber aqeducts and a mill with a waterwheel for example) If they wanted to pretty up the lake for during the day (since it loses most of its water while TRR is going) they could perhaps do some fake rocky outcrops etc, but they would be hollow with drain holes so the capacity of the lake is not adversley affected at night.

If you wanted to do a family version then the product they would be looking at is the "Bobsled" (Not to be confused with the Mack Bobsled, which actually looks like a bobsled run) The website states 720 pph, but the cars are smaller so this is the reason for it being lower. A good example of one is here: http://www.rcdb.com/ig2590.htm

I thought the fact this post is in the WnW forum was a dead giveaway to what park Velo was asking about. I wouldnt really bother hiring a tube for the wave pool though. Its the sort of thing you get over after a few minutes of being in there with it. Its probably worth hiring if you are seeing a dive in movie, just be prepared to be a prune.

Yeah, i got one too today since our TV is coming tommorow (LOL, what a chain of events) Before we picked it out they actually recommended we go and get it to see which one we liked the best and i was able to do a comparison, and it looked pretty good. But WnW, i'd say take them back if you dont think its a real $50 improvement.

Article: Jamberoo unveils $20 million investment plan
Gazza replied to Richard's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Now whos the one complaining? What they are doing with the lazy river is what i have been wanting a park here to adopt for ages: "transportainment". People here have complained about how at parks they get hot feet and have to buy aqua shoes etc, now Jamberoo is doing a relaxing and fun solution to this problem. And really, these plans were drawn up by a Manufacturer with years of experience, together with the owners of this sucessful park. Im sure they would have thought through the practical considerations in terms of tube numbers, signage etc for far longer than the five minutes it took you to find a supposed 'problem'. Im pretty much loving what Jameberoo are doing here, for those of you who find the probowl "gross" you can just ride the Beheomoth or Cannon bowls which are being built there too. Personally i like slides that are are a bit rough and throw you around, they feel so out of control so i cant wait to get on a pro bowl (though i might get to go on one sooner if i head to the US next year) And yes its great too how all the slides are going to follow the terrain, it always looks so nice when you are down at ground level weaving through trees etc, many of our smaller parks have slides like this, and even white water mountain (one of my favourite water attractions for this reason) does this. Though I was wondering this too, what is going to happen to the old kids area and lazy river? and allthough you cant say what the layout is like, where will the rocket slide be going in general? -
ROTFL!!! I voted for the DW rulz one, they really should be running two gondolas, dunno how they would do it but yeah But just to clarify, yes they can leave the ride program how it is, yes the landscaping at the front looks ok, but no the theming is non existent in the launch zone and on the rides "backdrop". Really, i think a lot of the complaints about the supposed slowness of the ride would be dispelled if a video was shot from afar to show people just how fast it covers that 60m. Looking straight up i think just makes it look slower and doesnt really do the ride justice.

Gross? How can a waterslide be gross? Ok maybe if its not cleaned properly, or if its a speed slide and someone walks off with a wedgie, but really.... -

Thanks for that Alex! i have been waiting for some plans. So it looks like the park is getting -2- tornado attractions! And the lineup looks like its going to rival WWW, there is a massive tornado that puts the current one to shame, -3- bowl slides (finally the body side version) and all this on top of their currently respectable line up. Cant see the rocket slide though. Good luck to em i say, didn't someone mention that they might fast track everything if it does well? -
Yeah, i wondered the same thing. I thought Weluvian was some sort of nationality or ethinc group (perhaps originating from the long lost country of Weluvia )

Hmm, that looked like the shorter model though (it probably is since they are using a 12 person gondola) which could make doing these sorts of moves easier. I like the Batwing program pretty much as it is, if it is possible the only thing i would change would be for the first freefal part to drop down lower (say to only 5 or so meters above ground level) instead of just halfway as it would be more exciting rushing towards the ground and stopping so close. I think it is possible too, i mean they safely stop the thing a couple of meters from hitting the top so I imagine they could do the same at the bottom. Since this ride is sort of competing with GD its important they try to make it as thrilling as possible since it lacks the sheer height factor. The ride looks and sounds fun as it is, but its smaller size compared to GD could always be a factor with the GP. Still, the ride pattern is cool as it is, its not like it is "broken". Any sort of change would just be a bonus really.

Yeah, i love the night shots, they really are your best work. Makes me wonder why the WVTP websites still bother with the photos they have when they have a perfectly good photographer that can take some up to date and decent photos.

Im more leaning towards a new family ride because if Eureka goes then that is one less family ride and hence one more they need to replace. DW has a lot of childrens rides (All of Nick Central, Big Red Car etc) but none of these are much fun for adults. Thunder River, the log Ride and Eurkea are the only rides DW has that really appeal to everyone, they are still fun for the thrillseekers but not too intense for everyone else. I think it is THIS area where DW is lacking the most, not thrill rides. And with the water usage for Thunder River, it is probably topped up with filtered water from the murrisippi, however that big body of water in Gold Rush is just the night storage for the rides water, once the pumps are turned off all the water just gathers there since it is at the lowest point on the course, hope that helps stardust.

Nah, im going via an equally old VCR which has the ports, and the vcr is connected to the TV via RF, but it doesnt matter anymore since we are picking up a new TV in the sales. Good call there tony, its the perfect retro experience for VC games. Also, i think one thing they need to update urgently is the 60Hz mode thing, if your TV doesnt support it its very difficult to put back on 50Hz since the screen becomes garbled. As for your situation, is there something you have to do to the TV itself in its settings to actually have it on 60Hz? And WnW_rocks, you can get the composite cables now, i saw them at the Big W here so just look around and you should be able to get it, they cost $50 though. Oh, and my Wii code is 7777 8408 4704 8441 but i wont be online till i get broadband, which should be in about a weeks time when they send the start up disc.

But serioulsy, even if you do have the wrist straps attached people dont tend to bother looping their hand through anyway so there is really no point. Plus the TV im playing it on is old school and i cant imagine it taking any damage (or me being too woried if it did )

From what everyone is suggesting, something like Dollywoods mystery mine seems like an ideal choice, but perhaps it could have more of a family focus. http://www.rcdb.com/id3609.htm

Yeah, you are going to have to do a new scenario since once you convert a landscape into a scenario you cant edit the scenario. Just load up the landscape since you can edit that, and set the guest entry point back to where it is supposed to be (i cant remember what menu this is in, it could be under the one with the picture of an archway, or the one with a map, but even then i dont know what RCT sequel you are talking about) Its no big deal though, just give your scenario the exact same file name when you save it and it would overwrite the dodgy one.

I think with the ace serve it is pretty random, there probably is a way to do it every time but i dont know it. I think it tends to happen when you do an "A" button serve, and then just flick the remote down like a hammer instead of doing a full on swing. But what do you mean about "cheating" in tennis? You have 2 Miis by default so its not really cheating at all. Its funny trying to rally between the front two people though. And WnW_Rocks, just stick with baseball, i used to be terrible at it, but you eventually get a feel for the timing and you can be pretty consistent. Its probably the hardest one there. And for the record my best Mii fitness age was 30. Now, as for the wrist strap thing, i wouldnt really bother, i think the whole snapping thing is a load of bull anyway, you would have to be doing something VERY drastic for it to occur. As for me, i took off all my wrist straps. Dangerous? Maybe. But id rather have a more free playing experience, its not like I go letting go of bats in real life or anything so i cant see it happening to me. And as i have said i have whacked an office chair with one and they are pretty sturdy so even if i do release i cant see it breaking. And, on a side note, i found a cool vid of a must own game for the Wii:

Your best bet is to look at the offical site or at some gaming sites since they probably would have reviewed it properly by now. Enjoy it BTW.

What is with Batwing's Themeing? - You decide
Gazza replied to Coaster Boy 6's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Its sort of bland discussion. Any old monkey could tap out that sort of response. But it is a lot more interesting and rewarding when we have a detailed and meaningful discussion. Now Joz, I can see exactly what you are saying too, as every ride at MW could be improved in one way or another, but i think the difference is these rides have pretty much got it right and have a high overall standard. But in this case there is a definite step down from what we have come to expect. And yes, i agree about the side of Batman Adventure, there is no excuse for leaving it like that. Also, you cant really say they have been that creative. I think just sitting the bat vehicles out the front was the "obvious" answer if you get what i mean. Compare to something like SE where they have done unexpected things like the superman on the back of the train and the two cars crashed from above in the dark ride part. Yes, but you can take a similar approach with the theming, Notice how the claw has nothing in the middle (since the ride is in the way) but it has everything around the outside. BWSS is in the same situation so if they can do claw that well they can do this that well. Also claw cost $6mil, and this reportedly (by another member) cost $5-6 mil so its a similar budget. I dont really watch westerns, i havent seen lethal weapon, i saw scooby doo once, i havent seen any superman films, i might have seen a batman film at one point but i cant remember what happened, but the fact is i know enough about these things to appreciate what MW has done or could do. Also, why do people keep bringing this up about people being able to watch on, when i sort of sketched an idea that would still retain the same views, but had better theming. Also 10*10m is small, but there is spare space around the back, and a lot of my suggestions are simply changes to the way they did things. Its not the space you have, its the way you use it. Well, yes. With any company you expect them to get better as time goes on and not go backwards. Why is the XBOX360 better than the XBOX? Why did Holden make so many improvements to the VZ when they brought out the VE this year? why is McDonalds bringing out all these "premium" food choices instead of the same old burgers? Why are the banks now looking closely at the way their service is? You make it sound as if MW shouldnt always be striving for the best. LOL, dont backpaddle. You were trying to use it to support what you were saying in what was a serious post. -
What is with Batwing's Themeing? - You decide

<Bangs head against wall> Wikipedia defintion of constructive criticism: Constructive criticism (often shortened to 'CC' or 'concrit') is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one. In collaborative work, this kind of criticism is often a valuable tool in raising and maintaining performance standards. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constructive_criticism Now, i just wanted to clarify something, there is no doubt that the ride is nicley "presented", but its not really themed. Its got that powder coated fencing around the outside, some flowers and NZ flax and textured paving. This stuff looks good, but its not much different from what a lot of newer houses have in their front yard (if i were to go out with a camera now and do a quick tour of the neighborhood i could find all these things several times). Yes, they did put those two vehicles out the front, but the park had them already and they are nothing we havent seen before, yes they too look good, but again they dont relate to this idea we were expecting of it being some sort of top secret launch location. Yes the site is small, but then you make the scenery smaller too.
