  1. I dont think I would want a sky rocket. They ARE good rides, but we don't need two multi launch coasters side by side in the same park. Freespin, yeah they are ok, but can be polarising. The crowds seem to love them though.
  2. Some manufacturers put entire rides or sections of rides together in the factory to test fit, but I'm not sure what determines the need.
  3. *bangs head against wall. Mack would take the clearance envelopes for both seat types, overlay them and then trace around the outside and then that's the clearance envelope you use across the attraction. You wouldn't do it twice.
  4. It looks like they just chucked a transparent material on in the rendering software. I bet it'll just be one of the standard translucent colours, not proper Perspex.
  5. They are not copying SW and installing temporary Carnival Rides.
  6. Im surprised that there isn't more happening, Steel Taipan well and truly has paths, landscaping, theming and the station well on the way but this kind of just hasn't changed much in recent weeks.
  7. Indeed, since $20 on rivals is a full queue skip, not just a VQ.
  8. Yeah I know it'll be tyre, all I was saying is that the tyres are powered by conventional electric motors, not hydraulic like MDMC / JR.
  9. The weird thing is, it's one of the most expensive apps out there. $15 a day for a bit of guest info that should be for free and ride bookings. Village theme parks app does all that.
  10. Exactly, people cant go elsewhere right now and are hungry for localised fun, so prices should reflect that.
  11. Disney is in a weird position where they charge a lot and nickel and dime a bit, but at the same time the attractions themselves, the food, the merch are all really good and ARE getting better so people put up with it. In effect they have put prices up $20 because how else can you really enjoy your day now. You HAD to play the game and use FP to enjoy Disney, now that’s paywalled. Yeah I personally hate the loss of spontaneity. If the line is 4 hours for a new E ticket, I can wait it because at least its my call to do that (and to be honest ive spent 15 hours on a plane to even get there so perspective people) and can prioritise it other things later in the day. Like if I went to DL now, I would not stay mad if I had to miss space Mountain and Indy for lack of time, to get on Rise of the Resistance….#1 priority is riding new/better/innovative rides. But boarding groups and over reliance on Virtual queues muck with that, because if slots run out you are stuck riding stuff you don’t care as much about and If I knew that was going to happen I would go elsewhere and come another time.
  12. Indeed, most of the noise on the tyre launches here in oz seems to be the rattling of the train.
  13. So Intamin switched to electric on tyre launches since Juvulen and Yukon Quad, i think thats what bd has.
  14. Even though the track is coming together I’m a bit concerned about how all the other systems and regulatory approvals are progressing. I’m not sure how much float was built into their timelines, but I’m worried lockdown related delays could push it into 2022.
  15. Would be cool if windows are cut in the wall so we can watch the launch from the station.
  16. Needs to be >Pick your photo on the touchscreeen >Tap card to purchase >Type in either your phone number or email to get the photo sent to you. Edit: and obviously at the point where you tap your card, you could also have the option to scan your photo band or pass instead for free.
  17. Needs to be a zero g roll IMO, god damn a coaster here needs that element urgently. But I'm guessing Mack are trying to leave as much alone as possible, hence adding those wierd intermediate supports rather than thickening the spine. Re the spinning car. I would have thought it would have made sense to have an extra standard car that could be swapped out so that the spinning car can always be on track. Or IDK just order an extra spinning car if it gets popular. Operationally, this will work a bit better than DCR in that a train stacked can roll into the station and not have to negotiate a slow U turn.
