Woops... Guess I didn't read your post properly... Not sure if it's just me, but the seats look a lot more 'bucket' like, and there's nothing to really hold on to... or am I missing something?
-
Heh, what is with that picture...? Only the front seats are the new design, the rest are normal...

I guess Australia doesn't have anywhere as many nerds, so there efforts would probably only attract people who'd visit anyway... It'd be nice if they announced the opening date a bit earlier, but it doesn't really matter. For those few interested, I decompiled the flashing image. It's got some waterslides with a giant cross over them, so that'd be where it's going, some intamin track and some squiggly stuff... Just wondering, is this definitely made by the park?
-
Well I have no idea how it works, but I'm guessing they all operate independently of the track. When one stops to board, maybe the others keep going until they get within a certain distance of the next few cars... It was running in manual override so who knows what was possible?!

Yeah you can see parts of it in the first few pictures! Gotta look carefully you know... Anyone know what the name's gonna be for the cannon bowls yet? -
Took this a while back, you can't really see the depth of the hole though...
-
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but when I went, there was a freaking huge hole in the ground! (Before vertical construction started). Surely this wasn't just for pumps...?

Getting music on rides is easy, you just copy the files into the 'RCT3' directory in My Music. Not 100% sure, but it might only take .mp3 files. As for patches, it should come with an auto-updater, which is your easiest bet. Just try the RCT3 folder in the All Programs menu or the splash screen when you insert the CD. I had to manually install patches for some reason, and they're just .exe self-extracting. Just make sure you got the right version, took a bit of looking around to find one for Soaked, I think you want European patches as opposed to American, not too sure. Hope something I said helps...

If you look around these forums, and the internet, I'm sure some-one did a SDSC re-creation a while back. No lasers though...

Haha! If the queue system was anything like that, it'd be great, I reckon it'll just be a queue for sidecars and a queue for normal bikes. Am I the only one that thinks this looks too tall? I know it's concept art, but I hope it ends up like this... -
Great pictures... Where'd you take them from? Cyclone's exit? I thought it would've been funnier if you had a picture of all the workers having lunch break or something, which they usually seem to be doing, but oh well. Are we getting two cannon bowls and something else, or what? Anyone know for sure yet? GoGoBoy, I know this is a waste of time whining, but check back and see who took the last load of photos? I do agree though he's been contributing a hell of a lot in other construction topics as well!

Well that sucks... I didn't get any email and I'm on Max Action Platinum... *insert large amount of whinging here* I wrote my email address down when I got it... or is there something else I have to do...? Great news that it'll be open for September, I didn't think it'd open until around Boxing Day! Should be especially good for end-of-year school trip! -
Article: Jamberoo unveils $20 million investment plan

Gee the watermark is fairly prominent for something usually used purely for identification purposes, but hey at least you can read it! I've seen the same plans Ash is talking about, it depicts two Dark Mammoths averaging about 166m in length. They both feature dual-loading although one is significantly longer than the other. From the plans, the height difference from splashdown to the top is about 17m. I would post the plans, but I'm not 100% sure on whether I'd be doing the right thing or not. Sorry guys... EDIT: Oh, and the plans are dated 22nd of November last year... The design is completely different to Alex B's too. If its perfectly fine to disclose them, let me know and I'll do my best, but I don't want to make anyone angry, that's all... -

Well I have to agree with you there, Cyclone's theming really sucks but the loading area is kinda cool. Theming would be nice, but I don't really want, and I'm not expecting anything over the top. To me it just doesn't seem fitting, mind you anything IS possible. Just be smooth, fun, and half-decent looking and it's a winner for me... -
I just knew someone would point that out, but atleast I try... Sort of... As I said, it probably won't be long until I get forced onto it one way or another, and I'll probably love it too. Oh well I've got two years at the least... The process didn't take too long itself, but there were a few other people getting them and they were mucking around a bit. I almost ed myself when my keycard declined seeing though I had about $10 cash on me, but worked in the long run. I'm still a bit frustrated with the fact I messed my photo up, but hey, it doesn't matter. Money well spent!

Went to Dreamworld today, and finally got my hands on a Max Action Platinum! Took a bit longer to get than I would've liked seeing though we didn't arrive until about 12:40 but was worth it. I even managed to mess up the photo... Quick summary, I won't bore everyone with a huge trip report, but the park was reasonably full. Cyclone queue was huge, rode once, last ride of the day. There was a huge riot of "one more" although the ride ops said it was against rules... which was followed by more yelling and things such as "rules were meant to be broken" etc. Their solution was to come back again tomorrow, so of course people wanted their tickets paid for. Sun had set and the lights were just coming on, so it was a semi-interesting experience. I shouldn't have ridden back seat though, instant headache which I was really surprised about as I hadn't until then had a bad cyclone experience. Had a peek over the boarded up walls at Eureka, the cars were all in the station and it looked as if nothing was happening, from the outside anyway. The River Rapids were also closed due to 'technical difficulties' ..? Gold Rush is nothing like I remembered sadly. Nothing much has changed with construction of the new coaster, but you will be pleased to know that there is more track in the back of house area, photos later... The day turned out pretty good, met a few friends from school, I wouldn't ride GD as I'm a bit of a wuss. Neither would her friend so I got to wait 45 minutes and talk endlessly about nothing. I figured I'll get on it soon, as I have a MAP and someone will talk me into it sooner or later... I also had the 'joy' of ridding the teacups with friends, it kinda ruins the day when they won't ride anything decent. Almost talked them into WO but no luck... Claw seemed a bit crazier than normal, but probably just me. Now, the reason I'm posting this, and I know I said it wouldn't be too big, is concerning the expansion at WhiteWaterWorld. There's a massive hole in the ground behind ToH and plenty of slide parts in the distance. Colours were pink, purple, blue and orange. Looks like one of the slides is fairly large, weird shaped pieces... I have no idea when it comes to ride parts! I asked a few workers and ops if they knew anything, but it's all kept secret from them... (From what I was told, let me know if not). Most one of them knew was they were putting in "a hydraulic motorbike". Enough is enough, enjoy the pics! Oh, and if anyone wants the link for the in-park flowrider ticket display, click here. Sorry about the thumbnails, dunno what's going on.

If this turns out to be anything like SDSC it'll be fine by me. I guess it IS a bit early to judge things, and I really do hope it turns out to be something good. Will this be open by the end of the year or do we still not know? Is it definitely hydraulic launch or possibly LIM or LSM? -

Sorry if I sound a bit rude by saying this, but reading through one of the older threads about MW's next ride, every seemed to be saying things like "Movie World won't be getting a coaster... Dreamworld will...". When asked if it would be a tilt coaster, there were replies such as "Nah, Dreamworld's new coaster will be FAR Better!"... Was this all just pure speculation? Was something else planned or what? I mean it could end up living up to those words but at the moment it doesn't seem like it. Anyway, I just thought it was strange to read that. Funny how things change and how weird it feels to read something you wrote only weeks ago but seem like forever... -

^^I think the other RR clones have yellow track, correct me if I'm wrong, but maybe Richard just got them mixed up. I thought The Claw had yellow OSTR's until I rode it, kinda different I guess because it used to, but yeah, hope I'm on the right track. -
Hmm... That's weird... I would've sworn that they were either 20m or 30m. Does that mean we've got the biggest one or that it's not 35m? Sorry if I'm wrong but it just doesn't seem right.
-
Yeah I noticed that last night... I'm guessing it's an error as I read the entire Terms & Conditions on another page and it said it was valid 24 months. Maybe they were referring to the regular MAP, surely...
-
^That kinda sucks... Is this 'Platinum Pass' on their site yet? I'll have another look but I couldn't find it last time. Only had MAP and MAS. Next time I go, definitely getting one seeing though I have to pay adult admission as of february!

Yeah... What I think would be cool, is if it had one or two bikes mounted on the top of the track, and a sidecar on each side, making three or four across... Would probably look weird but might help capacity and a new concept would be cool, even though this sorta already is.
