  1. Yeah I spend some nights just lying on top of the bed with the fan on. I was growing my hair out but last week had about half of it, four months worth, chopped off. It was just getting painful. But I will get into some sports this year - soon as summer passes! Might try doing some night runs though.
  2. It's great for the animals & theming. I was there while EE was just a steel shell and still had a really good day...
  3. Mmm the rain's annoying, wish we had an indoor theme park.
  4. Save your money, go to Blockbuster and hire Let The Right One In instead. Daybreakers starts off interesting, certainly is up there in the gore stakes... but the whole thing just leaves me cold. Recommended only for Robina Train Station enthusiasts.
  5. I don't find the bashing that bad but hopefully if this is true the replacement would be a coaster & not a spin-and-spew. That the replacement is a year-round Flying Carpet (eg, Ali Baba) themed to Santa's sleigh?
  6. ^ It wasn't too bad but there'd be much better choices.
  7. Oh, didn't know you had gone. I went last week too, enjoyed it
  8. ... don't know about that but I've always thought Dollywood could partner with the Black-Eyed Peas to do a 'My Humps' slide or flume ride... think about it... you could come out Dolly Parton's head down a near-vertical drop then the...erm... humps part... then splashhhhhhhh! *cough*
  9. Besides, a Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana park would have done so much better Or maybe Shannon Noll. You could have a Top Thrill Dragster clone themed around a Big Shiny Car, and a corner shop called 'What About Me?' - That's all you'd need. It'd be cheaper and it would rock harder than any MJ park
  10. whitsy, you don't like anything or anyone do you?
  11. ^ I wouldn't wait longer than 5 minutes for X:\No Way Out.
  12. When does the studio tour wind up? And did you get to see Kasey Chambers?
  13. It's ok. He thinks everything is lame, gay (his word) or both.
  14. I was told it would be opening Monday [today]. BTW Richard, the first train of the day gets me to the airport at 9:30am - I don't imagine you would clear Customs before then anyway. Should I just wait for you at that car rental desk? My avatar photo is recent so you should be able to recognise me. v I agree. But I think a high quality stunt show with a decent storyline would go down well at Seaworld. The one they have now is a bit too much like something that the Scary Movie writers would create if they were doing theme park shows. While it's pretty good as a family show, crowdsoaker/crowd-pleaser, it's ddfinitely not PASS-quality humour that's for sure.
  15. It's running - twice a day, 12:30pm and 4:30pm.
  16. I think Superman Escape, Jet Rescue & Scooby Doo will still be my top 3 somehow
  17. Then come along. We will all be in the same boat pretty much (though we may have met a couple each before) -- but I have met people off a couple of communities and aftet a bit of initial awkwardness, you get over it - and we have this common passion which we will be following on the day too And you can always bring a friend, brother, cousin, whatever. Anything to make you more comfortable - plus we're meeting in public and not having a house party or anything. If on the day you are getting bad vibes, bail then!
  18. 29th is fine for Seaworld for me. Richard, still fine for hitting all those places with you. Have passes to everything so any date at any WVTP park / Dreamworld/Whitewater World is workable! Will be going to check out the MTV show too.
  19. Turn it into a Knoebbels-esque park.
  20. It's half the ride's appeal. As good as Superman Escape is, it's too short for my liking...
  21. Fantastic. That should really draw in the summer crowds!
  22. That settles it. Let's all just put our money together and buy a house in Dubai.
  23. Check out the bottom line of the sign. Hmm...
  24. Picked it up last night for $82 (JB price-match for the 360/PS3 versions) on PC... it's very very good so far. Thought I'd give some early impressions a few missions into the game and I'll do seperate posts later on when I've finished the single player Story mode with followups looking at the other single player content and Multiplayer. Multiplayer should be pretty sweet though judging from the quality in level design. Here are a few random grabs I did last night on my iPhone. F12 doesnt seem to be doing screenshots and I've only just reinstalled everything so need to get a screen-capture program I think. The level of detail is very high so levels feel like you're playing GTA:Wherever you happen to be. Stunning graphical effects and sound. Hans Zimmer provides a brilliant score to back it all. With the exception of the opening training sequence, you don't feel like you're being shepherded down tight corridors as things are quite open. I liked the US military base in Afghanistan at the start of the game, was fun to walk around, look out to the swirling sands of the desert, watch soldiers on a perimeter jog, fix vehicles, shoot hoops, banter as they look at photos on their phones, etc. The spec-ops mode also looks very decent. I'm very pleased with my purchase so far. The controversial mission everyone has been talking about was very well done and doesn't let up. It finishes on a particularly effective note too. And it was really cool in one particular mission (literally and figuratively) with how you have to get to a base, what you do there and then the escape. And who you do it with Those sceptical as to whether or not you'll pick it up, do... hobbled multiplayer aside, the single player content is top notch. Early Impressions: SINGLE-PLAYER: 9.3/10 (having done the first few missions) Buy It If You Want To Be A Combination Of Jack Bauer & Shane Schofield!
