Richard 1,038
This is just a taste of what's to come in the next few months as Roller-Coaster.com.au moves forward to the next level, bringing more user-controlled features to the site. It is now possible for anyone to add parks, coasters and rides into the Park & Ride database. On the main Database page, there are now three links to allow users to submit: Add Park Add Coaster Add Ride or Attraction If you notice anything missing then it takes only a few moments to add something to the database. scott 0
What about pictures?
Richard 1,038
The problem with that is the amount of editing that each photo goes through, as well as the minimum resolution and quality standards I have in place. If you want to submit photos, then it's easier to do by following the steps outlined on the Contribute page.
steve$ 0
Do you mean editing as in,resizing the pictures. or do you actually change the colours etc.
Slick 2,401
Yeah. He'll need to re-size the photos and tag them with the r-c logo in photoshop. That's what he means by editing.
Richard 1,038
More or less. There's also cropping and rotating to make sure the picture's straight. I do also generally balance the colours, because digital cameras don't always get it right and it helps to put some life into most photos.
Gazza 2,265
What if you want to rename something, for example, Alpine tobboagan park is now named Funfields just so you know.
Richard 1,038
For things like that use the Contact Us link at the bottom of every page and just let me know the changes.
T-bone 675
That reminds me Richard, Seeining the site is already half wap connectable, is there any chance of making a small wap site of this site, where you can download Pictures for your background of your mobile? In other words, is it possible to create a small site with a real small file size, and make some real small pics, to be able to download them onto your mobile phone? steve$ 0
That might be a bit advanced
T-bone 675
Not really. The wap version would be easier to maintain and all because all it needs are some text links. SO it is easier to maintain, unlike the main site.
