  1. Hi, my humble opinion, for what it is worth, is that Jamberoo would easily be my preferred destination for a fun day with my kids than Wet n Wild Sydney. For their operational excellence, theming, landscaping and the way all of that hinges together in a journey of discovery. Mark

  2. I guess I was moreso referring to the 'ride rotation' that is common amongst Six Flags chain parks for instance - it may not be a 'new' coaster, but it is 'new' to the park. Asides of which - dropping $25 million on a coaster (Gatekeeper) after $21m on Maverick - and with Valravn coming only 3 years later (cost as yet unknown) suggests at least $60m over 10 years. You make a good point, I guess we're just used to the 'annual' announcement of Six Flags - but of course noting that they don't always go into the same park.

  3. I agree with most of your points, but it's a myth that American parks get a new coaster every year. If you look at Six Flags, they usually add 2-3 new "serious" coasters across the entire chain, so most parks that aren't Magic Mountain have 4-5 years between major additions. Even Cedar Point has only had 3 new coasters in a decade - Maverick in 2007, Gatekeeper in 2013 and Valravn in 2016. That said, Dreamworld is overdue for a major addition, hopefully they put in that Megalite soon!

  4. Dreamworld does have roller-coasters... but they need a good, full-circuit rollercoaster that lasts more than a minute, with some good thrilling elements elements. They do also need a good dark ride too though.

  5. I still do applaud Dreamworld for doing something like this.
