  2. Isn't that what this part of the courtyard is?

  3. Heres hoping he goes into the small details too. The whole Coney Island intro working, bringing back the old arcade games, and restoring the 1920s style coin drops behind Turkey Trot.

  4. I feel like directly under the facade we will get a shop and a majority of the Arkham building will be used for the queues. You can see small queues weaving through the landscaping and they appear to be coming from around where the building is.

  5. The house getting sucked up by the tornado perhaps? (is that what happens, been decades since I watched it)

  6. The area is missing the whole Munchkinland (Future expansion perhaps?), so why not theme it to the start of the Yellow Brick road, which is a swirl in the movie, or to the Lollipop Guild Munchkins and have the sides swirly like lollipops?

  7. Luna Park Sydney has appointed a new CEO , replacing retiring co- CEO's Warwick Doughty and Peter Hearne. At 37 years of age, John Hughes is the youngest CEO in the park's history and has come to this position after managing FOX studios in Sydney. As long as he respects the important history and uniqueness that is Luna Park and he strives to preserve its legacy as effective as Warwick Doughty and the previous team, then I am all good. Hopefully the place is in safe hands. https://www.smh.com.au/culture/art-and-design/studio-boss-who-brought-thor-to-sydney-will-run-luna-park-20220727-p5b52w.html?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR1o9HD9U40Q5x1gF3CBzG2S0AHd02l1IyeEtbL1_giPacbmUdfZCddg7dk#Echobox=1659224458

  8. I'm not asking you to take my word on anything. I'm relaying what I've seen because there's some questions about the walls at the ride entrance. I have no idea how it'll turn out until it's finished, I just know that the plans haven't been significantly changed in several years. The early artist renderings were known to be largely fiction from the very start. Just as artist renderings often are. Give me lush gardens and rockwork over clinical pseudo-sci-fi any day. You're right they didn't elevate Vortex as per most the model and concept art; it's probably a safe bet that the soil issues that were the reason for its pre-COVID delays were also the reason this wasn't feasible. This change aside I'd argue that this depiction is by and large what's there today. It was about as underwhelming then as it is now: and I don't think anyone could honestly say that things like the giant fountains right next to the incredibly narrow main path were a good idea that had any chance of being implemented.

  9. The vortex we got is what they'd planned for? Really? Because both artist render and model were very similar, and very little like the end result. We went from this: Which was very similar to the 3D model shown at launch: To this: The fact that you've seen final theme gives you that confidence but I can't fault anyone who isn't privy to those concepts to be doubtful of anything else presented in the render or the model. This was the Leviathan artwork: I'm certain we all took this with a grain of salt - especially given the substantial rockwork - and given the model differed from the artwork: But as we've all seen - Vortex did not come out as originally announced - and looking at Trident in the shot above, it isn't going to come out the same either given those giant columns surrounding the ride-base. So while i'm happy to accept your word as truth given what you've been given access to - i'll continue to remain skeptical of the end result until I see it with my own eyes... and I do look forward to being wrong...
