  2. Not sure if this could go anywhere else but today I was at Dreamworld and they have started fitting out the old store at the Wildlife Station. it looks like it will be a Bilby Discovery Centre. It looks like a much larger space for the Bilby. It does seem like Dreamworld is investing a little in wildlife lately, twilight trail has recently opened and now the Bilby area. I do wonder if this means the area near the Bilby will be shut (kind of opposite the wombat enclosure), as Vintage Cars will be relocating.

  3. Wow this hurts. This ride had an intensity factor to it that neither Vortex or Wipeout have. There’s quite a few of these rides they built in the early 2000’s that are running out of time. Surely the power surge or the drop tower doesn’t have much time left either?

  4. Just seen on Facebook that The Rampage is closing end of this season. End of an era

  5. If you do decide on the aquarium, pull a big brain move and either go later in the day or first thing as they open and line up an hour earlier. Crowds in those halls are stuffier than Movie World in January with a new ride opening that day. The other 2 (and Centrepoint/Sydney Tower Eye) have practically no lines.

  6. No, there is nothing like Slingshot in the middle of Sydney (because if there was it'd be quickly co-opted by Meriton and turned into boring high-rises.) Your best bet for attractions in the city are the aforementioned LPS alongside SeaLife, WildLife and Madame Tussaud's alongside the Sydney Tower. Taronga Zoo is also great with some of Australia's best gated theming and atmosphere, but it's a day trip on the ferry to see it all. Otherwise you can also look into the many escape rooms around Sydney CBD. I've personally done a few Mission Escape ones and they're excellent.

  8. Maybe Hanna-Barbera just isn't that appealing to kids anymore, sure they are recognisable entities to us. But how many kids these days are actually sitting down and watching the Flintstones, Yogi Bear and The Jetsons? I was born in 2003, and it was already out of fashion when I was growing up. Besides some 4D attractions of released movies, I doubt you will see Movie World really go out of their way to license characters that I'm not convinced kids even like that much these days.

  9. The ride is in! New Marvin / K9 models too, that sit on the operator's cabin.
