it's in a "studio" so it makes sense to make use of existing rigging where possible for lighting etc. The US/european houses are like that too. It's only that living area that has the function centre ceiling exposed, the bedroom, bathroom, diary room etc are all have ceilings from what i've seen in little snapshots

QLD state schools don't finish until the end of that week on the 12th too so they get a solid 5 days to operate it before the holiday rush begins in earnest..

Pretty smart day to open it. More time to work out the kinks before the weekend and busy period. Plus weekday means more people on hand for breakdowns etc etc
