I attended Movieworld on Friday evening for their Pyjama Party event and what a great success it was! With the park feeling very deserted indeed, most rides were a walk-on except for Superman Escape and Batwing. Needless to say I gave these rides a miss and decided to check out the rst of the park. Before Friday I was a Green Lantern virgin so I was pleased to note that the audio worked on my first and only ride. It really adds to the ride and i love a good dramatic score! Scooby was up and running even though it is currently down for repairs. Arkham was smooth, and the joker VoiceOver on the lift hill was up and running, but unfortunately my seat on the back left had a crackly speaker. Some thoughts on the night. - security was out in force... Everywhere you turned there was a security chap hanging about - the only characters I saw were Tweety, Bugs. Daffy and Batman. Tweety and Bugs were decked out in pyjamas - the park is DARK at night. Apart from Main Street, the whole park was actually quite hard to navigate. While half of the kids WB zone was open , everything from Sam Train back was closed and there was hardly any lighting in this area at all. Felt a little bit spooky! - Green Lantern spent the night in darkness, as did Arkham. I liked riding Arkham in the pitch black - it adds to the ride. - I would love to know the number of riders churning through Justice League. it seems to be hidden from the general public... The ride supervisor looked grumpy as every time i rode.... no wait time, and never anyone in the queue. i think they need signage aka the joker at Arkham pointing to the entrance! - justice League is a lot more fun to ride with the audio working. Movieworld is by far my favroritred park on the coast, and to experience it at night with no wait times was well worth the effort. i really hope the evening was successful as a fundraiser and thanks to Movieworld for once again being great hosts!

"The Bob Shermans (NZ) The Nick Jaggers (QLD) The BubbleGum Besties (NSW) and The Random Penguins (VIC) through a sea of super soaked adrenaline surging challenges. Proving theyve got guts (and possibly gills), our Campers will brave depths, speeds, heights and marine creatures as they play for money-cant-buy rewards, such as a starring role in SpongeBob ParadePants the worlds very first SpongeBob parade performed daily at Sea World. Contestants are also vying for the ultimate title of Champ Orange, awarded to the team that best displays the Camp Orange spirit of friendship and fair play. For the first time in Camp Orange history, Champ Orange will be decided by Aussie and Kiwi kids who are watching all the action at home. This year, viewers will choose the team that they deem best and fairest to take the honour by casting their vote on www.nickelodeon.com.au. In another Camp Orange first, fans have submitted their recipes in for Wrong Town Dinner, stomach churning dishes which are eaten each night at Camp Fire by a team selected by the Wrong Town Dinner Spinner. Kids at home can also check out behind the scenes and other exclusive added content online, including the very best audition videos. In the world premiere episode, Campers are put through an extreme memory test as they learn all about each other in just 20 seconds, zooming around Sea Worlds Jet Rescue Coaster at speeds of up to 75km/hr in the Jetting To Know You challenge! Tuesday June 25 at 5pm on Nickelodeon"

Just wondering if anyone is going to head to the Movie World pyjama party next Friday? Tickets are only $35 each with some of the proceeds going to support foster kids. Some rides appear to be open til 930 and indoor rides til 1030 but not sure on the exact line up. WWF is obviously closed. Sounds like it will be a fun night apfor a worthy cause!

I think I remember someone posted in the thread earlier that they were going to be riding around a Mini MovieWorld.... good call and well caught! Also says this is a family attraction.... Look I am all for the family attraction to replace LTRR but it will be two family attractions back to back at Movieworld. Happy to see LTRR finally getting its replacement, but worried that this ride just wont live up to its predecessor. I suppose people were worried when Gremlins closed as well !

Ok, very few photos but they are what they are. And no, I didn't do the requests. Redback and front of leak n logs Plunge shoots Leak n logs.. There ya go. I rode the wild mouse and actually feared for my life... I think that by far is the scariest ride I have been on in my life. Lots of fun! For some reason red back seemed faster than dw version. For $29 is pretty good value and it was dead when I was there at 10am. Dodgy iPad pics so sorry for the quality.
-
sorry - will get them on here tonight. Got some pictures of the shed built in on the flume ride, also one or two of the new water play area as well as the design which was posted on a wall.

Heading tomorrow. Any specific pic requests? Going tomorrow. Pic requests?

Looks like a fun ride! Is this an Aussie first? Still have not renewed my Dreamworld pass, or felt the inclination to purchase a wvtp pass, just not overwhelmed by the new attraction line up so far. I will wait to see seaworlds coaster

Thanks for the interesting comments. I agree, I wouldn't go to fright nights to ride the rides. But don't particularly like lining up for anything hana. Just like that I guess?
-
the one thing that turns me off attending Fright Nights is the amount of people they let through the door. If WVTP released a front of line VIP pass then I would definitly fork out the extra dough for it - provided not to many tickets were sold... thoughts?

Movie World new ride: JUSTICE LEAGUE: Alien Invasion 3D.
aussienetman replied to mba2012's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I agree it is a moderate family thrill ride and as I have stated before (yes I am an old scratched record) it is an excellent and much needed addition to the park. However, surely those supporters can recognise that the marketing is wrong. Those chasing a thrill are disappointed, and those to scared of thrills are missing out on a great attraction.- 778 replies

Just adding that the pov posted by Sally is a different ride to the one I rode during the media event. I would like to ride it again with all the audio working. It has been noted here numerous times that the marketing for this attraction is wrong and I have to agree. It is not a thrill ride and should not be marketed as such. The segment of the audience interested in thrill rides leave disapointed and those that are to scared to ride thrill rides are missing out on something which may be up their alley.- 778 replies

I guess it's a slippery slope. Wvtp shouldn't have to trawl through pages and make a decision on each one individually. I for one am glad wvtp go out of their way to allow the pages to visit these. It shows that wvtp respect the fans. Unlike ardent which block access to everyone .

Xrazz. Check out Movieworlds own site for the definition of the ride. It is listed under thrill rides and it's description states " Get ready for the most thrilling battle of your life on JUSTICE LEAGUE 3D - The Ride." The ride is not a thrill ride, and before people jump down my throat and for the third time, I did enjoy the ride and Movieworld have done a great job with this family addition to the park. I think it is a good replacement for ltrr. Nathan- 778 replies

I agree that this ride is a family ride. I see it as a replacement for LTRR more than anything else, and i mean that in a good way- 778 replies
