  1. I am sure when Bikash kindly joined the community here he wasn't expecting questions more suitable for a press conference every few hours.
  2. Went to Sealife at Sunny Coast today. Venue is all indoors. Had to pre-book an entry time (seems to be 40-50 slots per halfhour). Was temperature checked before gaining entry. Stickers on all the floors marking spaces to stand and distancing. Some smaller areas closed, but seemed to be all up and running ok.
  3. Mate, I have the email. I literally have nothing to gain here by sharing the info, I was just passing on information that was sent to all staff. I didnt say anything about the % of track which was on its way. Im losing sleep over here that you're not believing me. Edit to add : the email is from late May. We are now 4th of June. I dont know who the other sources are and honestly cbf caring for internet points. If capital expenditure has been approved to start again since the email and the other sources comments, then I guess Germany are packing a nice little cargoload as we speak and a great voyage is taking place across the majestic seas.
  4. Yea I posted about it in this thread on the 21st of May. Probably got lost amongst all the speculation.
  5. An email sent to all staff mate. Rest of track remaining in Germany until hold on capital expenditure is lifted.
  6. I was there from 2003ish i think and the numbers were very similar.. in the days of the special effects show and police academy.
  7. Albeit a long time ago but average on a weekday (no holdays) at movieworld was anywhere between 2000-2500 guests. The numbers they are throwing around have been a bit shocking to me as well. What is the point in overstating figures?
  8. Included in email update to staff... I am still mates with a bunch of them.
  9. Due to capital expenditure being on hold and no construction timeline in place, more parts already in transit will arrive, but the rest of the track will be staying in Germany for the time being with no plans at the moment to ship the remainder EDIT *until construction ready to proceed. *
  10. Welcome to Dreamtime @ Dreamworld - a sister to Dreamworlds fantastic and innovative Corroboree section. Dreamtime @ Dreamworld takes traditional Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and incorporates them into a brand new innovative and educational experience. The Rainbow Serpent is Dreamworld's newest roller coaster. Min-Na-Wee is the rebranded Buzzsaw coaster telling the story of why the Crocodile rolls. Venturing deeper into Dreamtime @ Dreamworld you will discover a Frog Hopper flatride built especially for the kids themed after the legend of Tiddalick the Frog. Next to Tiddalick is the darkride adventure Gaiya. This adventure for the whole family will tell the story of the Giant Devil Dingo who became mans best friend through innovative 3d mapping. At the conclusion of the dark ride, guests exit to the newly moved Dingo exhibit and gift shop. Most excitingly, the new precinct is neighbor to Destination Dreamworld. Open from 4pm-Late Thursday through Sunday evening, Destination Dreamworld has access from both inside and outside the park. Incorporating the showstage - live music will keep you entertained as you discover food trucks, and a weekly market on Friday evenings. A specialty station inside Dreamworld will transport guests on an after-dark tour of Dreamworld so grab your favorite dish and jump on board for an unforgettable experience. Destination Dreamworld means the fun continues well into the evening. Thanks for the distraction. I expect many accolades for my amazing paintjob.
  11. NZ specifically? This article is helpful https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/120512184/coronavirus-what-stores-and-services-are-still-open-during-lockdown Back here, I am in isolation atm after a quick jaunt to America. I am recieving priority delivery from Woolies. They are leaving the groceries outside my front door. Same for ubereats. Havnt left my house in six days. I have a negative test result for covid-19 but qld health advise today this does not lift my isolation requirement.
  12. As per topic title. Anyone visited Six Flags Magic Mountain and have some hot tips for a one day visit?
  13. Yes. 250 guests there on a weekday a couple weeks ago. Granted the weather was miserable, but unsustainable levels happening.
  14. Mickey - no problems whatsoever! We were asked to board last. I transferred my guest into the chair and then his wheelchair was moved just a little off to the side. Honestly by the time the ops dealt with everyone else, we had been sat ready to go for (what felt like) quite a few minutes. The only issue we had through the whole experience was the switchback outside being a little tight to navigate. This specific client hadnt been on SV before, but a quick visit to services and he was issued with a new card with approval. Our attempt on Tot2 however failed. The shop staffer was filling in and couldnt contact the ride op to let us up as she didnt know how, so we went and had some lunch. When we got back she had it sorted and we rode up the lift, only to be told by the op the ride was down and they were waiting for engineering. Unfortunately he missed his final ride because of this, but that guest wasnt to fussed.
  15. When I went I used https://touringplans.com Incredibly helpful and made sure my short time there was well spent.
  16. As someone who travels to the park frequently with people with disabilities, dreamworlds cards are so simple and the staff are great!
  17. All it takes is for a toddler to scurry off onto the concrete when mums back is turned for a second to recieve some pretty serious burns. Wnw obviously aware of the risk with sprinklers spraying on some of the paths. Definitely a liability issue. Thanks Gazza. God forbid someone has a different opinion on these forums. Ill take my 'lazy' and 'stupid' ass back to lurker mode again haha.
  18. Very hard actually! I didnt take thongs with me and it appears other gp didnt as well. In this day and age its a lawsuit waiting to happen.
  19. Was at wnw today and at the risk of repeating a previously stated 'upgrade', the walkways throughout the park are hot as hell. Just in the short time frame we were there today I heard three other groups complain about the concrete and how hot it was. Wnw had a few sprinklers directed in areas to try and break it up, but seriously... by 1030 this morning there were already people having to run to get off the burning footpaths. I hate to think how bad it gets later in the day. Also, has calpyso always only opened at 12? It was such a busy day today and a massive group waiting to get to the lazy river.
  20. Love that Dreamworld left the ride open for staff past closing!
  21. My group enjoyed Doll Haus the most, followed by IT and Leatherface. Zombieland and HoK tied for last. We only waited for HoK about 15 minutes in the middle of the evening.. any longer and it would have been a very distant last place.
  22. My opinion after having a few years off... Mazes seemed very haphazardly strung together. In HoK we encountered one scare actor the whole time. 60 minute + wait for rides but rides were not on our to do list... at least maZes moved quickly. HC queue closed by 8.15? Saw two stages set up. One playing music briefly, the other had nothing on it the few times we wandered past. Precincts were not themed. Having a grouping of characters roaming around specific areas does not a precinct make. FN is in desperate need of a quality show to soak up the crowds. Before the fanboys scream - I repeat, just my opinion. Won't be back. For those that enjoyed it - im glad for you. But for me the price tag just didnt meet expectations.
