  1. I really doubt they would remove it. Sea World has stated that the Skyway may be closed intermittantly for the construction though.
  2. Screamscape recently reported that the ride has been seen on trucks in the US state of Georgia with labels stating it is going to a Wonderland park in India. Here's the full post:
  3. It was only meant to be a temporary attraction. When it opened the park stated it was due to be open for just over a year. This would place its closure at around the end of the June/July holidays this year. http://www.goldcoast...heme-parks.html
  4. The only reason why I said a miniature model of Movie World was because the precise wording said "Mini Movie World Children's Car Ride" not a "Mini Children's Car Ride at Movie World".
  5. Surely it isn't a children's car ride through a miniature model of Movie World in a similar style to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke5fDOnfMQk?
  6. Just a wild thought here and I doubt it would ever actually happen but I'll post it anyway. Below is an extract of a post Now, suppose the $25 million investment figure is correct. If the park were to take this opportunity to relocate AVPX to the Blue Lagoon site, they could potentially add a second drawcard attraction to the area (i.e. a decent full-circuit roller coaster) within the year. Both of these attractions could form a zombie/apocalypse themed area (Dreamworld would already have a headstart on theming this area - remnants of Blue Lagoon, Eureka, Skylink, Sturt etc ). Going back over to Ocean Parade, last year Dreamworld closed and removed the Stingray with no replacement. Along with the relocation of AVPX, this opens up the area to a potential expansion of WhiteWater World similar to the original plans above from years ago. Anyway, this is all hypothetical - I know it will never happen (especially considering the topic of this thread) but I think it would be nice if it did
  7. I believe MickeyD was making a reference to the cancelled plans to add a Soarin' clone on the site of the show stage... http://www.parkz.com...arin_Clone.html Also, just for future reference, the size of the show stage is a fair bit larger than the Roxy Theatre. Since the Disney installations have two ride systems in the one building, I would think you could potentially create a clone in roughly half the space if you were willing to cut the capacity of the ride. In saying all of this, I would prefer for the venue to return to being a stage for a western-themed show, just as AlexB said.
  8. There is this indoor/outdoor rapids ride, Mystery River, at Movie Park Germany: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjY2kKzTgpA Doesn't seem like much happens in terms of rapids in the indoor section though.
  9. It was published in the Sydney Morning Herald on September 24, 1985. http://news.google.c...pg=4261,6412452
  10. Sea World have already released four possible names: Further discussion can be found in
  11. http://www.goldcoast.com.au/article/2013/01/03/444752_gold-coast-news.html
  12. If this is going to be a temporary attraction, I really doubt it would have been announced this far off.
  13. I think the flyover is the best you are going to get. I don't think they released the final plans to the public.
  14. They were branching off the northern end of the castle. More information about them can be found in the following topic:
  15. From last Sunday for those who missed it:
  16. Since the coaster at Luna Park is only temporary, I would say yes it is the same one.
  17. In addition to that above, Disney has also announced plans to put Marvel themes into their existing parks. There are rumours that an Iron Man ride will be installed in Disneyland and that a Marvel-themed park be added to the Disneyland Resort.
  18. From the Zamperla website: http://zamperla.com/...etails-air_race I really doubt that they'd operate the two levels in the one cycle. If it was locked in with different levels for alternating cars, that would cause annoyance whenever one line is longer than the other. This would cause the ride to operate at a limited capacity even when there is a full line.
  19. Here's the full press release: http://about.dreamwo...ia-release.aspx
  20. It's the same as the park discussed in Seems they have gone from a $4 billion resort to half that.
  21. Would there be though? Sea World have only said it would be opening in 2013 which leaves all the way up to December 31st if they need to. From my recollection the VIP pass advertising only had Dinosaur Island on it.
