  1. I'v been on one very similar to the one at DW. It was at the Eastershow. I think it was called SpaceRanger or something, but i'm not 100% sure. It went soooooooo fast!!!! It was really crazy!! After it went forwards it went backwards even faster. And I think what contributed to the ride was the fact it went in and out of a tunnel, and it was at night time. OH yeah, And what is it with that Spooty Spin name anyway! lol Screammachine
  2. OH my GOD This cant be happening!!!!!!! A Cow RollerCoaster? How sad is that gonna look! Wait a minute you can't be serious Rabid?
  3. OH no!! What a shame you missed out on its a small World!!!! Hehehehe.... Not much apart from the lame song. AND dont get me started on the que line! Whilst standing in the que, there is this annoying moon/sun thing tilting from side to side. And on every tick it does this loud click. Mix that with the que line music!!!!!!!! Aahhhh. At Euro Disney there is this little Cicrus Mine Train Ride. (can't remember what its called). And on the ride itself is speakers that play annoying music. You can't get away from it! Disney Village was Nice Though! Can't say much about the Studio Area though...... Screammachine
  4. Thats really crazy! The people who design these rides have to be a rocket scientist in their spare time . They have a backup plan for everything in the case something would go wrong. Screammachine
  5. I went looking for the park map we got when we went to the park and this is what I found on the ride. Its basically a escape gone completely wrong. (dont they all on rides??) And you end up flying around trying to fight of X-Wings, and all the others. But somehow you make it back home safely. The Loading area of the ride has this red emergency light flashing on and off, and all you can hear is this siren goin off with and those 'laser' gun sounds coming from somewhere. All this happened very quickly. They then strapped us in and said good luck and locked the door. Oh yeah, there was this little robot in the front (which you can actually touch) that does all the talking and flying as you get away. And there is also a R2d2 in there with you in the ship, which bursts out little sparks of smoke and spins his head screaming everytime the ship would hit something or got shot by the enemy. 6. I was at Dreamworld about 2 years ago in the Summer Holidays. We got there when the park opened and for about a hour they had this Double Ride thing goin. We went on Wipeout and headed for TOT. We got our first ride. We had to wait a few mins before they could launch it again. And when they did. The car only made it halfway across the track. And Stopped. The car then went into reverse and took us back into the station. It frose a few times on the way back. There were all these people looking at us from the walkway. It was like being on display. So embarrasing. But when we got back to the station they let us all get off, and closed the ride. Does anyone know why it happend
  7. They have the same ride at Disneyland Paris. I agree the Themeing in the que line was truly amazing. Especially the bit before you get into your little Simulator car. The ride ops. make it as if you are "evacuating" some terrible disaster and try and get you into your little escape vehicle. But the music and the effects in the que line was amazing. There was this little "R2D2" robot that kept shocking itself and screaming. It was fairly amazing. Screammachine
  8. Sounds like you had a great time down in NZ. I have relatives who just recently moved down their. I think their in Auckland but i'm not 100% sure on that. Can't wait to see the pics , It looks like a beautiful country. The Big Shot attraction you talk about. Is it a Freefall ride? I'l do some research on the place tonite... Can't wait for the rest of it... Screammachine
  9. I think the only rides that would keep the people coming back for thrills would either be Spider, UFO or the Ranger. Apart from that there is nothing else. I found the UFO quite the interesting ride when I was there last time. They could put in a Huss Giant Ride to be a centre of attraction ride at LP. But we cant do much but wait and see what the park is gonna be like. Screammachine
  10. OK lets not start another fued here. Reading the posts are like watching Passions (not like I watch it or anything! ). Back to Luna Park. I had a look at the Huss site. And I would say there are a few rides that could be placed in the park that wouldnt upset (well shouldnt) upset any residents whilst drinking their moey shampagne. Screammachine
  11. My Favourite Coaster Game of all time is RCT. I'v got RCT1, Both the add-ons ( Added Attractions, Loopy Landscapes).... RCT2 (Wacy Worlds, Time Twister) It is somehow still keeps me entertained for hours. Another good coaster Sim is. Screammachines. Its got lots of coasters and you can make the track design as complex as you want it to be. I find it hard though! hehe. I just like to go on the pre-rides. And maybe just build a simple Coaster... Below is a link for the Demo Download. And its well Worth it. www.wounded-heart.com http://www.avault.com/pcrl/demo_temp.asp?g...e=screamachines
  12. Try Going To Disneyland. Your in for a full ear beating. By the end of the day your head has this little ringing voice inside your head singing happy songs!
  13. I Reckon Top Thrill Dragster. Or maybe something smaller like Xcelerator wouldnt hurt.My next best choice to that would either be a Standup of Floorless. But in my oppinion the floorless coaster i'v been on (Superman WBMW Madrid) makes it one of the smoothest coasters. It doesnt make much noise either so I would give it my thumbs....... Scremmachine
  14. To me a ride is a ride. Regardless who made it. Huss, Intamin, B&M and whoever else is out there. I dont even know much about those designers eitherway. But as long as it makes my knuckles go white, I'm up for it! Screammachine
  15. The Idea of the Bungee Swing rides have been put into place in Ratanga just before I left. And I remember you had to ring up the park and book your time on the ride otherwise your chances of actually getting a ride was not happeing. It was Extremely popular and I remember we just missed out on the ride. And I did ring up the day before. But what would work for Wonderland is. If they were to introduce this ride and people had to pay $30 to ride it. Why not include a "onride" photo with the pricing. Thats what they did. And I thinked it worked great. They take the photo just as you are about to be pulled up. Screammachine
  16. Funny you say that. We flew back in from Cairns the other day, and while we were waiting to get our lugguage there was this girl walking around with the Incredible Hulk and Spiderman, handing out 25% discount tickets. The funny thing was as she approached the kids with their "super heroes" the kids ran away screaming!! Not one child wanted to go near them. The parents wanted to take a photo of their little darlings standing next to there super heroes, but the little kiddies didnt want to know a thing about it!. I think they were frightened of them! It was really good entertainment whilst wating for our luggage to come through.
  17. I have also lived in Holland a few years back and in school we learned a bit of German. I'v read the text and this is what I could make out. Translation (aufstrebende...???.... means I dont have a clue what that means  ) Already is now a great ..? ?... is upcoming for 2005. With the sale of a Gyro Swing. Has been announced at the Australian Park, Dreamworld. It is a giant swing with seats that are arranged ring-shaped with a Outwards view. The seats has your legs danglin freely. Also the same at the park Drayton Manor. And supposedly very popular with the the public. Well thats about as much as what I could make out. Its probably not the best translation but at least its something. Someone with a bigger German vocalbulary might be able to be of better assistance. Screammachine
  18. Just a quick response... NO doubt at all from seeing the pictures the Themeing looks Awesome. But I dont see any attractions though?? But in the end it all comes down to what each indeviduals taste is. Screammachine
  19. This is in concern with Andy's Q. Yes you can just watch the snakes if you want to. The tunnel of snakes are in the start of the que. So If your not a Thrill Seeker and only watch the snakes you can go back. Also they added another exhibet in the que line. They have lizzards now aswell in the open bush. And I mean BIG MOMMA'S. The que line is sort of the cage and the Lizzards are all around you. Quite Interesting.. Screammachine Pic 1: The entrance with the Snakes in the cave. Pic 2: Prepair to enter the Lizzard Enclosure. PS: This Park has the BEST Theme-ing I have EVER seen in any Theme Park!!!
  20. Firstly: I work in Tourism and I have to add that allot of overseas people visit Wonderland and the Wildlife Park during their stay in Sydney. APT and AAT Kings have regular Tour Groups out to Wonderland and out to the Blue Mountains. Its a set Tour Package where thet do the whole bundle. But I know that people dont just come to Sydney to see Wonderland. And now concerning the Overseas Parks. Have we forgotten our European ThemeParks?? I'v been to a majorit of the parks there, Six Flags Holland (Old Wallibi Flevo), WBMV Madrid, Disneyland..etc In general Six Flags Holland was a really nice park. The people are really friendly (taking in most dutch people are friendly). And a great majority of rides. Scenery is also great. WBMV Madrid. Same "look" as our Aussie one. Just allot more rides. In Ratanga Junction, South Afirca they have a great way of making the que time feel shortened. The scenery and surroundings they use are Amazing! At the River Rapids Ride (Crocodile Gorge). The que goes through a Crocodile compound with real crocs. The que line for the Cobra Roller Coaster takes you through a long tunnel with real snakes for you to have a look at. Pretty smart concept. Maybe if they applied it to some overcrowding Theme Parks in the USA they wouldnt have that problem of long que Lines..... Screammachine
  21. And Rumor has it the "new Coaster" is Called... THe K"Nex Screamin Serpent!!! (I had to say that!) Screammachine
  22. Yeah Gazza! Thinkin the right way. I will be your other set of eyes. Yoy grab the pieces and i'l keep a look out. Be sure enough to replace any of my missing pieces. On another note. Mad signature dude. Lisa needs braces, Dental Plan.....etc hehehe
  23. Thanks guys for answering my questions. Its really crazy how that could have happened. Sure as hell be thankfull it didnt fall on anyone.
  24. Is it the cable we speak of the Kodak Chairlift Thingy? And how come the cable didnt snap when the tree fell on it? And now for my last question. How come the tree fell over? Was there strong wind at the park?
  25. In my opinion Wonderland is the Grapevine. There has been nothing but rumors of new rides, or the park closing down goin about the park. I'd say the best thing to do in this situation is to sit tight and see what the final outcome of it all is. Wonderbus Wrote HA! Totally Agree!! I would like to see them do that! ScReAMmachine said And I Totally Agree to that. Maybe if we take it with a pinch of salt (Like ol' Gran used to say) we wouldnt get as carried away with it. Screammachine....
