  1. I'm cautiously optimistic, the concept art is good and some family coaster attractions with a lower height requirement is well welcomed. Would like to see some smaller kids/family rides to round out the area, or a show ideally.
  2. Closed gate, that's all. The area is still clear as it includes evacuation paths and staff access for Scooby and SE. As other's have stated I would hope the main entry from Main St is back/utilised, yellow brick road to Oz and all. I would like if the access from Superman is also kept and themed well, but wouldn't surprise me if they wish to keep funnelling people into Main St. I would love to see a high capacity boat or dark ride, and I guess you could fit something in the former que buildings/space but I honestly doubt it from VRTP at this point. Just because staff were only informed very recently doesn't mean it just happened, licensing agreements and new designs and concepts take time. It's a good "timeless" IP, if done well I can see it doing great and despite being a DC fan a move away is a good thing.
  3. Nope, Super-Villains never had access to Arkham. 3 previous access ways Via Superman Between Deli and The Bank (original Lethal Entrance) To the left of The Scooby Spooky castle.
  4. So the coasters are all but confirmed, but anyone else hoping we get more rides to help round out the new land? Even some more kids rides would be a good addition in my mind. Would be nice to have the whole Wizard of Oz gang characters be around for the area too.
  5. Are we now looking at a Wizard of Oz theme for Arkham’s replacements? Similar colour IMG_3215.MOV
  6. I was last at the park on Tuesday and the majority of the track was gone minus the lift hill and segments near the Tower that Batman used to occupy.
  7. Dreamworld Express has soft opened this afternoon.
  8. It clearly states it is a press release from Aussie World. Have to agree the headline is misleading.
  9. Can confirm I also heard “temperature issues” recently impacting Superman launches. I remember as a guest on days like @Spottymentioned the train would slow while coming around that corner. Then if needed sit until ready. At that point the “it’s Superman!” audio commenced and proceeded as usua.
  10. This seems to be at the discretion of the main operator for GL, sometimes they have allowed rerides. Used to always reride Lethal/Arkham back in the day and WWF prior to the station/boat changes. Have been successful with rerides at DW with Taipan, Gold Coaster, Tailspin and Drop.
  11. VRTP (MW) have recently had rides shut for the day due to being unable to staff them. As others have mentioned this is due to work on GD. I encountered this at DW last week, my issue was the ride didn’t appear to test til after 12:00pm and didn’t accept first riders til after 12:30. If that’s the “norm” it should be advertised as 12:30.
  12. The domain is registered to Ardent Leisure so it is run by the park as such. Makes sense to establish a seperate brand in my opinion since no rides/attractions are operating.
  13. Website is incorrect, just called to ask. Didn’t query Sky Coaster but Surfrider “currently has no projected reopening”
  14. Never launched, not even sure if it ever had general public testing (certinally never saw it when visiting around that period).
  15. They don’t intend to bring back the Buffet from what I have heard. Last school holidays it operated as restaurant again.
  16. I walked past Dreamworlds Carousel yesterday and on the topic of this thread… This is how theirs is, doesn’t look new.
  17. Family Pass isn’t a bad idea but I would like to see Village offer kids pricing on the One Pass, say $159 rather than $189 in general. The only park ticket with Kids/Concession pricing are the One Day tickets and even then it’s only $10 cheaper.
  18. It’s not that VQ was not working, or that it was consumed. Have confirmed that it has been turned off during the holidays, bit dodgy considering it’s an advertised inclusion with tickets and One Shot was still available for purchase.
  19. Website has been updated again to no longer mention the discount entry for Evening Eats, don’t know if they have eliminated the option or they don’t want to publicise it.
  20. Full statement from Village Roadshow Theme Parks (via 7News)
  21. Dreamworld have recently increased Locals Pass pricing, Saver $99 (No change) Value $109 > $119 Locals $119 > $129 Renewals are going from $89 to $99 too, absolutely no issue with it in my opinion and think its smart to retain the $99 (sub $100) budget tier.
  22. Evening eats info updated, Live Music & Entertainment as expected. They are now advertising you can enter the park for $5 Adults and $3 Child/Discount.
