  1. I personally would love a Mack Power Splash, but honestly a ride for the whole family is what DW needs. I can understand why Dreamworld may want to avoid any new water rides but I would like to see one.
  2. https://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/gold-coast-tourism-bosses-plead-for-extended-jobkeeper-payments/news-story/e028ec986bdbc4d713e6c86558b7f183
  3. Only if it opened as a Haunted House to be changed into a Laser Tag on a later date 😛.
  4. There is a difference between calling someone a wanker and saying "I disagree with that statement because X, Y and Z". I would think that the first would be against Parkz Guidelines "A friendly and helpful attitude is expected at all times." . I don't disagree that people are free to write what they wish but it doesn't mean you should. Regardless of the relationship Parkz has with VRTP is it really that hard to show respect?
  5. I think the comments containing personal attacks (even if directed at public figures) or unfounded accusations should be removed, and any subsequent replies to those comments (sorry @Skeeta ). But have to agree overall the thread should remain, a lot of members contributed.
  6. https://www.cimbusinessevents.com.au/gold-coast-theme-parks-call-for-jobkeeper-payment-extension/ One of the first media outlets to actually report that the 20 limit is already subject to increase on a case by case basis. <sarcasm> As per @Jdude95’s earlier comment any disagreement with VRTP management will be forwarded to them immediately </sarcasm>
  7. I did no such thing, would you like to provide proof of your accusation? As for revenge, yes I find a fountain react is the best form of revenge. 🙄
  8. Actually it wasn't, I have not spoken to Bikash. But you are not the first "Golden Years" admin to make false accusations. I used "The Fountain of Improbability" react as I have recently had to deal with some "cockwombles" (to borrow a phrase) recently including the likely user behind that account. I was doubting the credibility of the statement 🤷‍♂️, specifically "a friend of mine".
  9. Some political posturing on the news tonight from Bikash. I feel as though this is simply trying to put pressure on the state government to allow a reasonable number in park.
  10. The 20 count has this little * I'm thinking the parks will reopen as soon as they can, with a COVID SAFE Plan. I'm sure that will entail changes to usual operations.
  11. I think it is worth remembering that the monorail was due to be closed for the year due to New Atlantis construction, with that now being delayed further, perhaps they just don't want to advertise an attraction that will not be operating any time soon.
  12. Interesting trip report on Universal Studios Singapore and the current measures undertaken at the park.
  13. Websites can change... They were open today, and when I originally posted the website clearly stated they were still operating. They have only just added the new temporary closure banner, the page I linked to (and is still currently accessible on that link) is now quoted below, as is the new statement.
  14. I would say that is the case, it was a stupid decision to begin with considering Debit Success had no issues pausing my Dreamworld membership when they were closed. In other news... In addition to hosting a wedding, Australia Zoo remains open for business in these "avoid non essential travel" times. 🤔 https://www.australiazoo.com.au/visit-us/zoo-update/
  15. In theme park adjacent news.... They also have cancelled their "SkyHigh Cinema" they were planning to run April 14-19.
  16. It has been closed since at least late last year, possibly earlier. They even installed a self serve photo kiosk (that works half the time).
  17. As AlexB stated, was in comment to the post above. I attempted to post the LPS statement as a separate post but the forum software combined it, apologies for the confusion.
  18. Surprised they think there is a chance they can recommence shows on March 31st.
  19. VRTP have silently updated their operating hours on their individual park sites from Wednesday. Parks are now operating until MW 4:00pm PC/WNW 3:30pm SW 3:00pm
  20. I would certainly support that being done at the GC parks, Universal Studios Singapore have been doing it for awhile now.
  21. Not sure if it's a technical issue, sold out or if they are considering postponing the event, but it is no longer advertised on Dreamworld.com.au. The main page still works, however the ticket pricing/links have been removed.
  22. Village have posted a statement confirming at this stage they plan to stay open.
  23. I wasn’t actually at the park today, but my friend says she took the photo around 10:30 so it appear to!
