I find this a little strange. Im sure shes just carrying her stuff, but a 7-eleven bag?

I heard that they were having some small issues with water contaminants and decided against putting them in immediately, then the theming workers were sidetracked to Jet Rescue to finish it in time. After the Penguins incident the park has got alot more stringent water testing protocols. That probably should have gone in another thread, but I couldn't find it. I must be blind

Apart from the low capacity and the look of a temporary attraction, that is a pretty damn cool looking coaster and with like 100% banking on every turn it would be a smooth ride too.

Good luck lol

It's a pretty massive full page article in Thursday Focus Page 33, but I really dont have the patience to type it up, but I will type some, cause im great like that. World-renowned stuntman Gavin Coleman is tearing through the Gold COast hinterland at breakneck speed in a charged up Chrysler 300C, missing foliage by centimetres as he is chased by four hummers filled with M16-wielding baddies. -unrelated Stuff- "It was incredible because within three months (of filming a movie) i had got a call from Michael about doing a Hollywood inspired stunt show" Michael is Movie World's creative director Michael Croaker, who co-incidently had the same idea. The result is the $10 Million show Hollywood Stunt Driver- One of only three shows of its kind in the world - which has a soft opening this week followed by the official launch on Boxing Day. As the stunt show's driving coordinator, it is Coleman's job to bring the "edge of your seat" exhiliration and fast-paced energy from a movie set to a daily live-action show. Croaker and Coleman are aware there are big expectations after Hollywood Stunt Driver's predecessor Police Academy enjoyed a record breaking 17-year reign with more than 18,000 shows attracting an audience of 25.2 million. The seating capacity has increased from 1400 with Police Academy to 2000 for Hollywood Stunt Driver, which will be performed on a deeper stage space 80m by 40m. Coleman has worked for 16 years on Police Academt and says that they were still tweaking the show until the end. He was the only person to have player every single Police Academy roll- Even the female officer when all five women were sick. He says Police Academy was only expected to run for five years. "For our bussiness to be succesfull, we have to be evolutionary. The Police Academy movie franchise petered out, but in spite of that we built a successful show" Coleman said. "No one expected the life span . It was an unexpected success for so long but we wanted to fo something more relevent for today's market. The skill level in this show will be up five to six nothches." The show takes audiences behind the scenes on a movie and there is a director, an assistant director and several cameras and crew who pretend to be filming a live-action sequence. -Lots of unimportant stuff- The other obvios stars of the show are the cars- $70 000 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10s that have been modified to be rear wheel drive and include race seats and harnesses and roll cages. Their four cylinder engines generate 300 horsepower . Coleman has extensively researched movie car chases sequences from classics Ronin, Fast and Furious, Transporter and Transporter Two. That's all im going to write, most we already know anyway if someone wants to put in the effort and type it all you're welcome to.

2009.. My prediction for what's in stall..

Excuse me but arent WVTP properties very successful? Why would they sell them? I thought if anything they were looking into buying whatever park or attraction they can get their hands on? -

No prediction for Dreamworld? Actually that sounds about right. I also think that Movie World is looking at renovating some of the shops on Main Street and Scooby Doo would aso certainly be higher on their agenda than renovating the River Ride, though it is also in desperate need, it would cost more. As for an added section, perhaps something with Dynamite? the force of the explosion could be mimicked with bright lights and a big fan blowing or riders. I like the idea of the haunted house thing, that building is for the large part empty so why not I say, why not. -
In future if you find something on the internet which is extremely relevent to the topic its a good idea to post the link. Also, anything on the internet has a link. Thats a given.

Dreamworld to get virtual queuing in two weeks time
DonjaiInLA replied to glennborthwick's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Ive been to several legolands and from my experience they have never been that busy or have many rides worth lining for more than an hour worth, I dont know why they would need qbots except for the constantly crying children, I would imagine Dreamworld would need them more than legoland -
The ride operator that loaded us into our car on Scooby Doo unloaded us and then looked at us strange, like it had been an hour since she loaded us. But I guess that wasnt really relevent

Dreamworld to get virtual queuing in two weeks time
DonjaiInLA replied to glennborthwick's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Is this just a few steps away from introducing a front of line pass like Universal? Although bad for people who can't afford it, I would pay for that if I was willing to pay to go to Dreamworld. This beeper system just seems a bit strange, particularly when lines really arent that long.. -
They should put little screens playing fake breaking news stories outside Daily Planet, and they could justify it by running those crummy adverts for themselves (like whats on the big screen) between news stories, like what the Cyclone had originally i believe

Im not saying it won't look good when it's done, from the concept art I've seen it looks very good (toy story mania is an excellent example of what is going to come, but Disney or not Paradise Pier is supposed to be a larger scale Santa Monica pier and it's hard to work Disney into that. After all to make the sun wheel Disney-ed, there re naming it and putting mickeys face on the side. And as a fun fact, they are closing TOT to male the seats wider for "the next generation american" like what they did to the boats on it's a small world, that's irony.

Yeah good photos mate

I haven't seen it really brought up so maybe you dont know/care. But that wont stop me reporting about one of my favourite parks! So yeah, there fixing the park up, but instead of doing it systematically, there just kind of closing everything at once. This is Californias Paradise Bay in 2006; And this is it today: And they say global warming doesnt exist. May also notice the sun wheel is down, with the wierd orange thing and flying spaceship rides also closing soon. Reall complements all the games and restauraunts along the boardwalk which are closed. The entry will be closed and moved to where Who Wants To be a Millionaire was. The new entry will be moved out to where the big letters are, and most of the Hollywood Studios part will close as well. Alladin show is now over, and part of the "Bugs Life" section will close as well. A carpark is closed to start construction on there new Cars inspired land (Irony) and they will replace the trams that service both Disney parks with San Fransisco inspired trolleys. So yeah, hope no one plans to go back to DCA for a few years. More pictures of construction here from Westcoaster.
