  1. As westical said though, or older viewers. I don't know about anything after red, blue or yellow...
  2. Update for some shows: 1:25pm - Wonderwoman vs Cheetah fight - Near lockers behind photoshop. 1:30pm - Tweety & Sylvester song - Under big screen main street.
  3. So we welcomed our little man yesterday (26/06/2012). After a bit of a delay we had an extremely quick labour (3 hrs total). The midwife made the comment afterwards "He went from zero to one hundred in like two seconds." He has now been nicknamed Superman and will be wearing his superman suit we bought last week when we next head down there for photos with the Justice League group.
  4. Approx ride times displayed were: Batwing 30 mins Superman 15 mins Arkham 30 mins Scooby Doo 45 mins Wild West 15 mins
  5. My thoughts as well. I personally doubt it will get that bad... Not like they are 21 ounce cups.
  6. The old outfit. Not sure the Arkham outfit would go down too well at a family friendly theme park.
  7. Taj is white. Rama and Sita are pale orange. Sultan is orange. This information is brought to you care of looking at the Dreamworld website...
  8. So the wife and I went to the park today for our last time for the next few months. Had a wonderful day thanks hugely to the guest services representative we spoke to when we arrived. Before we walked under the arch MW have one of the animatronics on display advertising Dinosaur Island. As the wife is 39 weeks 3 days (4 days from due date) we hired a wheelchair. The representative then was nice enough to show me the days run sheet for the dancers as well as the show and entertainment team detailing all the minor shows and appearances throughout the day which will remain in effect until at least the end of the school holidays with the big focus on the DC characters. We continued up main street to see the Joker and Harley Quinn photo op outside the Roxy theatre which was getting a lot of light bulbs replaced ready for its relaunch for Ice Age 4. We passed forced perspective alley where Star Sapphire and Cheetah had their photo op. Headed in to the 11:00am HWSD which was probably one of, if not the best overall show I have seen despite a couple of small hiccups. We headed back to forced perspective alley so I could take in the eye candy that was the Catwoman dance at 11:30am (definately one for the males in the audience). Wandered out to Arkham Asylum, Superman Escape and Batwing before trying to see anything in the Justice League building with no luck. Green Lantern was testing almost all day and I have to mention that the carriages were going extremely slow, as in almost stopped going around the outside bank and through the corner into the twist. Work seemed to be continuing on two carriages with a section of the harness removed on both. Went to the Dirty Harry bar for our standard nacho lunch where I bumped into the Food and Beverage manager who stated that at this point in time there will not be a bottomless soft drink option at Rick's when I queried. There was also mention of the size of the souvenier cups given the recent rulings on the available sizes of cups in America (super size) and that we may soon see the souvenier cups decrease in size further. Returned to the top of main street for the Marilyn performance (12:35pm) which still pulls quite a decent sized crowd. Stayed to watch the Batman - Shadows of Gotham show (1:00pm) which still entertains but given they were advertising Dark Knight Rises just before seems a little dated. Given that the morning HWSD show left such a positive image, we decided to give the afternoon show a miss and went for a walk through the WB Kids zone. Speedy Gonzales Tijuana Taxis looks almost new given the fresh lick of paint and new covers on the cars themselves. Must agree with whoever commented on the viewing area for Road Runner Rollercoaster that if you did not know that it is an old queue you would not know, let alone the fact that the studio building actually houses a SBNO ride. Railroad is currently down, looks like it is receiving a fresh lick of paint as well. Returned to the Bonnie and Clyde bank (2:00pm) for the Wonder Woman routine (as the show and entertainment staff member referred to it as it lasts no more than 2 minutes). Stayed at the top of main street for the Batman and Harley Quinn routine (2:15pm) during which Batman wears a grey and black fabric suit as opposed to the black rubber suit, and Scooby Doo Disco Detectives (2:40pm). Did some window shopping before seating outside the Kodak store for the DC Comics Star Parade (3:30pm). This saw the return of the destroyed street float for Star Sapphire and Cheetah as well as a dance routine by the Joker and "his girls". As the parade continued we see that Batman is being held captive by Star Sapphire and so the Justice League appears to save the day. All up main street we have Hawk Girl taking on Harley Quinn, the Flash taking on two masked bandits (HWSD cast), and Wonderwoman taking on Cheetah. The Joker steers clear of the whole affair while Green Lantern remains on the Justice League float pointing over the ensuing battles at Star Sapphire. Batman meanwhile frees himself and takes care of Star Sapphire leaving Green Lantern the only hero not to achieve anything. Aquaman might have been more help. We left not long after the parade. Did not go on any rides as today was more for the wife to enjoy a day out of the house and I did not feel right leaving her waiting for me. Show times for these minor shows are at this point set for the next 2 weeks or so, but can see that they might continue this building up to the Justice League Alien Invasion 3D launch, which despite querying a date with guest services was unable to get more than Spring but they are hoping for the September school holidays. For anyone interested the street performances (someone asked in another thread) they are as follows. Austin Powers: Main Street 10:15am Catwoman Dance: Perspective Alley 11:30am Marilyn Tribute: Main Street 12:35am Batman - Shadows of Gotham: Main Street 1:00pm Wonderwoman Routine: Bank 2:00pm Harley Quinn routine: Main Street 2:15pm Scooby Doo Disco Detectives: Main Street 2:40pm DC Comics Star Parade: Main Street 3:30pm Also queried if there would be a change to the Catwoman outfit to match the new design from Dark Knight Rises and the introduction of a Bane character. No information on either query. Not a no though... Should probably rate the day... Shows: 8/10. (Wonderwoman was rather poorly executed, I also think that the Justice League fight would be better as a stand alone show and keep the parade as simply a parade) Staff: 10/10. Lots of joking around including one asking if the wife was going to go on Batwing to speed up the arrival. Food: 4/10. Nachos have become smaller and smaller as well as the appearance of the shell which is more like cardboard than a nice finish to the meal, churros are always a winner. Rides: N/A. Overall: 8/10.
  9. Still a fair bit of work to be completed on Rick's from what we saw today. Hope they make the weekend relaunch deadline.
  10. Sorry but at what point has it been established she is overweight?
  11. Someone once told me that the treehouse area used to be a reachable play area of the park. Personally I doubt this. I would like to see the Captain Sturt return to some normal looking paint scheme and used as a walk through link to the island along with a variety of bridges (concrete, wooden suspension) to get to the island from different points of the park and have them do a themed area on the island. Maybe put in a woodie and make it an extension of the log ride area.
  12. But this is the hole that the parks have dug for themselves with the VIP passes and so on. We understand it was to keep the parkz afloat during a financially difficult time, but this was always going to be an issue come the time to phase them out. Why would people pay more money for something the parkz have given them for so long at such a cheap price?
  13. I would really love for one of these to actually happen. Also would say yes but bub is due in the next few weeks so I won't be doing much theme parking for a couple of months.
  14. So it is closed while they repaint it pink?
  15. I hold anything TZA says with a grain of salt. Mainly wondering if anyone here knew anything. Also hoping they trained the staff how to turn on the audio box at the back of the trains.
  16. Noticed that Green Lantern was down for maintenance until May 29, meanwhile they now have this on their website: "The GREEN LANTERN Coaster is currently closed for maintenance." According to TZA it is a harness issue. Anyone know anything about this?
  17. I'm 1 of 3 for audio. Height makes no difference there was a kid next to me on that ride and he said he could hear it.
  18. Just clearing up a few points. I in no way attempted to "claim the fame" as you put it. I never read any other comment prior to my original post in regards to the type of ride that would be replacing BATR. I was however pointing out the fact that my posts are not all negative, that I have active positive involvement, but somehow this always is overlooked. I am sorry that you misinterpreted my comment but rest assured I do not believe that I alone predicted what was to happen with this particular area. I will also mention I had no "inside track" (not that you said I did, just clearing it up), therefore was not saying anything I shouldn't as I was not told anything. Back to topic. Really looking forward to this attraction as although I have seen footage of these rides will be fun to experience it first hand.
  19. 3D is something everyone does now... It isn't exactly a new thing. Been around since 1922. Became popular again in the 50's, then the 90's and then again recently. But I do agree with jjuttp: "Posted Yesterday, 07:27 PM I would prefer props as opposed to screens," Something tangable they have constructed as opposed to a projected image.
  20. Laser pods that keep your score, JL, dark ride... Oh no I missed 3D... Because I'm sure that is going to be the huge pull card...
  21. Posted 28 September 2011 - 06:33 PM "I would LIKE to see something like the Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin..." "The wife and I were talking and with the Justice League Movie in the works, why would they not rip out the batcave and make the JLHQ and we have to help them save the world from some catastrophe by getting into special pods? This would completely revamp the BMTR2 area both inside and out, give a new attraction using the current setup with some modifications? Especially since we have a Batman, Superman and now Green Lantern ride and the new DC Universe store all in that area? Either way my money is on another superhero theme." That's another correct prediction for me... wOOt... First the el loco and then this... You guys really need to learn to trust me on these things.
  22. So the reply.... Unfortunately, the Gold VIP passes can no longer be purchased, however if you are a current Gold VIP pass holder you are able to renew your pass by telephoning the Customer Connect team on 133 386. Regards But will they release them a little later like they did last year? They not releasing anything further at this point.
  23. So they are renewing the Gold VIP pass but still not advertising them anywhere for people who want to get them new.
