What everyone on these forums dont understand, is that it wasn;t miss-management. It was clever management. Before you all think what the hell is he on about, the reason it was good management is because when Sunway bought the park, they had it on the cards from day 1 run it into the ground, dont spend anything and make the money from the land. Why didn't they close and sell it 8 years ago when they bought it? Because they waited for the right time when the M7 is going in and the land is worth millions. They were to sell it 8 years ago, take off 40% of what they got for it. They never wanted it to be a succesful theme park, all they wanted was their money. That makes you think why the company expresses itself as a company for the enjoyment of people. More like, ruin western sydney's playground. Steven Galbraith, what can we say about him, he managed it well making sure that sponsors were signing on, and making sure that no1 knew that they were going to close it when the time was right. And for those rumors that came around every so often, about new and exciting rides, ever sat down and thought that that was part of Sunway's tactic? Start rumors make sure they dont get to big, just to make it seem like they were doing something. I beleived those rumors, they sucked me in, but congratulations Sunway and the management. Clever people. Ill shutup now

Well, i have just got on, and the news hasn't even soken in yet, i've wiped away the tears, yes i will admit i cried, to type this. Wonderland feels like a family member to me. I just can't believe that it has gone, and i have become sooooo attatched to that place. EVERYONE on these forums, in Sydney are coming to Wonderland between now and close time. We are all going to meet, for the last time at the wonderful place it is. I am glad for one thing though, and that is that i know it's closing. I rather it be that way than me turn up one day to the front gates to see them closed. One last thing, i am going to go out of my way to make sure Sunway knows how i feel! that's all i can say for now

Rich, The ride that was there before little monsters was nothing, it's in the middle where there used to be nothing except a little water fountain set out. The occasionally had shows where the ride is now, because there was some tiered seating there. Richard the ride your thinking of that replaced Wizard's Fury is Galleon's Graveyard another ex Hanna Barbera ride. It's the one where the boat swings out and goes around in circles. The prize pack was nothing, just a small little Knex box. It was crowded towards the end but it was mostly little kids and families.

Sorry, been off the net for a week got the modem taken away Yes Liam is right i went to the Australia day flag build and put either the last or the second last piece in (my bro cliams he put the last one in). I had many photos which will be used on the Wonderland website and for K'nex promo. I was building for about 2 hours non-stop and we finished about 1:30 After it finished there was no aeriel shot to my knowledge, nut i got a certificate and the lady running it told me to come back in half hour when everyones gone. So i come back and i got a K'nex prize pack, with T-shirt that had Australia Day Flag build 2004 and the WLS logo. And a packet of K'nex! Also saw Tony Laffan's last show, more about that later.

I really enjoyed the other show they had 'Pirates' though after the years went on it became a bit cheesey. The new one sounds cool, i will make sure i check it out next time i'm up there. We do get our bags checked by security when we enter wonderland as of late. They check for any weapons and that we dont have glass or alchohol.

Yes you heard it right Wonderland has won the Wonderland Sydney won 2003 Brass Ring Award from International Association of Amusement Park & Attractions (IAPPA) As seen on the Sunway homepage down the right hand side! http://www.sunway.com.my Wait a go Wonderland!

Exactly what i think man, They will just throw a few cheap rides in, a major and theme the area.

Guys, i have been in contact with the park and it will open on early Feb. I will get some photos up on my site as soon as it opens as i am going to be down that way mostly every weekend for a couple of months.

Well my b'day is on Febuary 24th and I told Mum and Dad that I wanted to goto Luna Park. They said that they will try and get opening night tickets, and sure enough they did, (my pop used to work there operating rides) and there is someone there that worked there when he did organising something on the opening. Will give you guys a full report about the opening night! Can't wait :!:

Hmmmm! This could maybe be a lawsuit coming Wonderland's way with the slogan that they used. They have taken down all sinage and everything of the website yet, everything about the lions has the "they're cute now... but not for long"

Sounds like all is cool up there at the Gold Coast. I'll give you guys a quick update what's happening down here in NSW, Wonderland Sydney- - The Marvel Parade - Lion Cubs - MARVELous new experiences (photo shoots, face painting etc...) - FMX (freestyle moto cross) on the 10th and 11th of January Jamberoo Recreation Park- - Billabong Beach will open at the start of january (should have opened boxing day but rain prevented this) - Shearer's Shack (watever this is but will compliment Billabong Beach) That's all for us up here in NSW, Jamberoo has alot more to offer that's new these school holidays! Man, i couldn't have put it better myself. The factories look bludy awful and i went yesterday and they have opened up the new road entrence, that's all sweet, but the problem is the factories will be using the same road entrance. Comon. Wonderland put some big tall trees up to at least block a little bit of it.

Guys, sorry i'm going to have to agree with Daniel and ScreamMachine here. I can't think of anything more boring than sitting around a table on a sunny day with these microscopic pieces of plastic hoping to put together a ride. I would prefer to go down the beach and have a surf, have a swim, or go out and do the real thing at Wonderland just down the road! Merry Christmas

Really was a terrible day there, it was empty, hot and just scary to think they use coathanger wire! With every $50 entry ticket they could buy 100 coathangers! Wow!

I went to Wonderland on Sunday and can't be bothered to type out the list of complaints i have about them. Saw Daniel! That big taco hat just gave it away man, anyway does anyone know why demon was closed....?
