  1. Well that's a bloody awkward thumbnail and video title combination.....
  2. I know I saw a photo of it recently and while I wasn't able to find it, I did find these.
  3. This was a pain in the ass.
  4. I might be wrong but I have a feeling that those photos are from different years and it's the same ride pre/post refurb. I think 'crazy' is the new one.
  5. Slow and steady wins the race. Really not much more to report today, but here's a little progress.
  6. Oh yeah, I was meant to post this weeks ago. (And while it does say 2016, this is the 2017 list)
  7. Wouldn't that be what insurance is for? Or if they were found negligent I guess that wouldn't count. But yes, think of a shitload of money, then double it and add a few 0's.
  8. I'm not completely sure how bankruptcies work, but I believe that's already happened and they were still $1m+ in debt. https://insolvencynotices.asic.gov.au/browsesearch-notices/notice-details/CJ-and-SONS-AMUSEMENTS-PTY-LTD-157759290/46e27083-a326-4a5c-a583-0c70571c8be3 From the linked article earlier: Edit: I have no idea sorry. I'm 110% for your idea though.
  9. It's been quite a while, but there's some movement on this now. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-07-13/adelaide-show-ride-owners-fined-$157k-over-adelene-leong-death/8704040
  10. Given it's not the first, nor will it be the last time this kind of thing will happen, why do airports insist on the runways and taxiways being the same colour? Surely they could paint them so it's harder for mistakes to be made?
  11. Surely we'd be calling them out on the pirate ship space long before viper? It's got a good 5 years on the viper.
  12. To me it looks like the (I'm sure there's a proper name for it) part where the bolts connect is also cut away to allow it to sit that close.
  13. Whilst that makes sense, is it just the angle, or is this very sung?
  14. ...but no one said it looked weird. @AlexB simply said he thought it would be a "much better fit" which IMO is pretty valid. It looks like they've erred on the side of caution and chopped off more than they possibly had to to ensue they didn't need to send it off and do it again.
  15. http://abr.business.gov.au/SearchByNameAll.aspx?SearchText=Maleny+Jumping+Castles Doesn't seem to have any direct results. Probably trading under a different name.
  16. Are you claiming it wasn't a mistake in the first place?
  17. I can see the bulletin's article now: "Piece missing from support of the new death coaster being built at Wonderland"
  18. Just to clear up any remaining confusion about where it's going.
  19. I've just attempted to make contact with the Amusement Directory people and the seller of the ride from 2007 to see if they're able to provide any insight into the whereabouts of the train. I'll let you know if I hear back.
  20. Yeah it seems to have been dead end from that point. That page was:
  21. The one that was taken away for ages and returned with a slightly modified look to it? Or was that just so they could hang a banner from the other supports....
  22. Weren't most of the passes extended til September anyway? 2016. Don't get the bulletin excited. I know it's been discussed to death, but I really wish all our parks would stop this. Being sold.
