  1. I rode WWF yesterday & the mist was turned on in the turn around section. Not sure if it has been a hit & miss with this element but I rode it a week ago and it wasn't on so I was pleased to see it on & working It really gives this section of the ride a good vibe!
  2. Here's my take on the final section / station / lift hill. The green is the break run. The red is the station. The blue is the lift hill. This came to me as I was riding Batwing & saw the footers in a straight line where I have positioned the station. You can also see this in @reanimated35's post. I recommend having a look next time if you ride the south side on Batwing.
  3. Thank god there is no DJ this year ? This show looks absolutely incredible! Who doesn't love a bit of fire! ??? p.s. It's Lit
  4. Paid SW a visit today. Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but there is already carnivale theming around the park. Sorry forgot to take photos
  5. Interview with the head of track devolopment & CEO of Mack. The CEO mentions the ride getting built at Movieworld at 9:30 & says it will be similar to Flash at Lewa with a custom layout. Nothing new to what we already assumed, but thought it was worth mentioning.
  6. There was a sign on the window where the VR is when I went on Sunday & it said "Currently Unavailable due to Software Update" ..or something along those lines.
  7. If it is under 200 feet, it wouldn't be the first time coming shy of something. Green Lantern's drop is .5 degrees shy of the worlds steepest drop. Which makes you wonder why they didn't just go the few extra degrees. There must be a reason.. right? If the coaster is under 200 feet, I'm sure there would be a reason as to why?
  8. Thanks for the update @themagician I must say, those footings are...
  9. Yeah I mean, I personally don't mind paying $2 for a locker.. but I sure would love a free locker! ?
  10. My memory is bad from when I visited US as to which coasters had a separate load, unload platform (not many from what I remember). I do recall at USH that they had free lockers for The Mummy. Most rides at Disneyland had front pockets on the seat infront which I LOVED! Obviously this coaster can't have front pockets, but if it were to have separate unload, load platforms, I can't see them putting free lockers in, without changing Superman's lockers to free aswell.
  11. That's the thing though. If there are separate load, unload platforms, you would need a locker.. or something like motorcoaster's rotating storage system. For people that have done rides with different load, unload platforms in the US, how does it work?
  12. I personally have not been on Manta, it does look fun though. I agree with the GP looking at it and thinking not much of it and that it is quite similar to jet rescue. I don't think they need something insane, but something fun & thrilling aswell. I'm assuming that something to get the public to go 'wow' would be to have something high off the ground or even something never seen before in australia? E.g. Flyer or Dive.
  13. Well said @joz ! I think that's exactly what SW needs. I think a Mack launch like Manta at SW San Diego would be perfect. As for a spinner, something like Sidewinder at Knotts would be great, but theme it to an octopus or something that spins around. As for the shooter dark ride, Iron Reef again at Knotts would be great! I'd also like to see a soarin' type ride take over the Theatre. I'm not too sure if the kids & family's still love it, but I personally think it's old and needs to be replaced. A soarin' type ride would be perfect for families & I could just see kids really enjoying it, as well as adults.
  14. My guess is it will be a turn 90-degrees then a straight drop down or a turning drop kind of similar to Scream at SFMM.
  15. Good to see MW getting mentioned in the LA Times for top 17 new rides in 2017. Parkz also got a mention ?? http://www.latimes.com/travel/themeparks/la-tr-top-17-new-rides-international-20161027-story.html
  16. 7 News UPDATE: Reports two people have died and two more seriously injured while on the Thunder River Rapids Ride at Dreamworld Australia. http://yhoo.it/2e5Xbt9
  17. I just want a roller coaster that is fun, thrilling and re-rideable. Mack have produced amazing rides in the past & I'm sure we will be getting something amazing. It doesn't need VR to make it a worlds best.
  18. Was watching ParkChat tonight and apparently the ceiling scare for Conjuring 2 has been removed. When I went through the maze on Saturday I saw a dummy hanging from the roof, but it was not lit up or anything. I pretty much only saw it because I was on the lookout for the ceiling scare. If I didn't know there was one, I definitely wouldn't have noticed it.
  19. I think something like Mako's (SeaWorld Orlando) queue & station would be great. It's not overly themed, yet still delivers.
  20. I'll go ahead and give my review as well on this years Fright Night. I will say that the last two years (1st time going was 2014) have been better IMO, however it was still a great night and definitely worth going. The reasons why I thought this year was weaker than the previous was: 1. Mazes were shorter. 2. It felt like there were less actors in the mazes & roaming around. 3. FDTD was very weak. In saying that, I think the real reason this year has been a step down is because they couldn't use the soundstages, but there was nothing they could really do to stop that which is unfortunate. I will say my thoughts on my favourite maze which was with no doubt, Conjuring 2. This maze was amazing! Well themed with great scares. My favourite rooms were the kitchen & the bedroom. Oh boy! That bedroom scene really messed with my head! Amazing! I unfortunately didn't get the ceiling scare, however I did see it. Would someone please tell me what happens with it? I would have loved to have seen this maze in one of the soundstages with bigger sets & a longer maze. To sum up I thought it was still a great night, even with the shorter mazes. From what they had to work with I think they did a great job. Definitely worth it Think I might have to try the UTT next year
  21. Patiently waiting the drawn up guesses of the coaster layout ?
  22. Yes! Who here has been on The Hulk or Lightning Rod? Do you prefer flat launched or incline.. or both?
  23. Great review as always! I'm getting jealous just by reading it ? I'm hoping to do a Orlando to New York trip in 2019, stopping at all the parks on the way. Is this similar to what you're doing?
