There has been a lot of talk about it - Steven Speilberg confirmed in January this year that he will be on board as a producer. He also said himself he would actually like a remake now that he has the money technology to do so. The first film was a huge success but was very far from the original books storyline.

On that note I think "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" might be the replacemnt - considering it is the sequel to Journey to the centre of the Earth, it was filmed in 3D and could easily be "converted" to add 4D effects.
-
Quite a few movies are filmed in "native" 3D - Avatar Yogi Bear Resident Evil: Afterlife Sanctum The Final Destination Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon Step up 3D Journey to the centre of the Earth Journery 2: The mysterious Island Tron Legacy Spy Kids 4 Just to name a few...

Supertubes Hydrocoaster is the one at White Water World, in which RazzBerry reffered to in the comment of 4 parks. Djrappa the one you are reffering to that is closed is the speed-coaster which used to be where the Aqualoop is at Wet n Wild.

Just re-asking, whether anyone has any updated photos they could share here, with the finishing touches completed on the Dreamworks Experience.

How do you know its a ride logo? Exhibits have logos aswell, my guess would be a non-permanent dinosaur attraction for the winter school holidays.
-
They had an anamatronic dinosaur exhibit at Underwaterworld (Mooloolaba) a few years back, marine parks must have a soft spot for dinosaurs.

I find it odd that they no longer print the expiry date on the VIP and Season Passes, obviously its so they don't have to reprint when people renew them to save a few $$$.

Arkham Asylum: Shock Therapy (Lethal Weapon Retheme)
rac2703 replied to ads086's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I agree, haven ridden Arkham Asylum multiple times, (even a few in a row), I have not once experienced any pain in my legs. once or twice i felt pressure as the bar tightened, but I just make sure that the lap bar isn't to tight to begin with. My friend who was riding with me felt more secure by pushing the bar in as tight as possible at the start of the ride, and yes she did regret it at the end complaining of excessive tightness. I think people just like something to niggle at with these things, even when it was the lethal weapon, I never experienced severe head banging, by holding your head back all the way as they tell you to do it really did stop much of the pain. a lot of people tended to let their head hang foward during the first drop and ince your heads out, with all the forces its hard to pull it in again. -

I agree, we'll just refer to it as "Arkham Asylum", but it just seems very unprofessional in the way its being marketed with so many different and conflicting names around the various places. -

It simply comes down to costs - Fulltime staff would still be paid for ANZAC Day if it Wednesday their normal day of work. Plus if they did open any casual or other staff that worked on that day would be paid double time and a half. It simply doesn't warrant them opening for a few hours. -
Thrillzone posted this >> "Watch Thrill Zone Australia as they might discover what has landed at Sea World. Will Sea World's new exhibit be a roaring success? or a prehistoric nightmare?"

Bring A Universal Studios To Australia!
rac2703 replied to daltma10's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Another point I think is that the running costs in terms of staffing would be much greater here in Australia compared with that of the US parks, where their minimum wage is basically half that of ours. Same goes for the Asian parks in terms of staffing costs. Plus the Australian Dollar is strong at the moment which deters international visitors and encourages us to visit overseas loactions. Basically international guests wouldn't pay double to visit Disneyland/Universal here when they can get the same or better in there own backyard for a fraction of the price. -

Movie World new ride: JUSTICE LEAGUE: Alien Invasion 3D.

Thats way to small to be the LTRR - Its the Batman Building, The building isn't really small, It had to house the Library, The Batcave, the queue, The loading rooms and the Simulators themselves, which would have needed a bit of clear space around them for the movements- 778 replies

Arkham Asylum: Shock Therapy (Lethal Weapon Retheme)
rac2703 replied to ads086's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Harvey Dent never have the safety spiel to begin with. It was always The Joker and Harley Quinn, and they were still doing it on Saturday, although the safety message about loose items now only plays once when the gates open to go to your seats, and it's only loud enough for those loading and the next group to load. Unlike previously when it was playing in a continuous loop that you could here from about s 10 minute wait away. -

How can you say its just as enjoyable without audio, if you haven't experienced with audio yet? -
Has anyone else noticed that they have covered the LED Logo on the fronts on the carriages with a transparent green plastic (I don't think they were always like that, though maybe I'm wrong). I'm guessing its so that the logo is still "complete" even if a few LED's aren't working. I think they should do the same to the large logo at the top of the drop, the last few weeks there have be large sections of the LED's not working on the left-side making it look tacky. If they covered it with the same transparent plastic the logo would always look complete and even with some of the lights not working the sign will be illuminatedby the remaing ones.

In relation to the Marvin Rocket - I was there last week and they have finally "Hid" the fact that a ride used to be there, They have built a wall covering the ride area and painted it with a looney tunes mural and place the fibreglass daffy duck there as a sort of "photo-op", The control booth and queue buildings now blend into the mural painting aswell. The last few times i went they still had a sign up saying this ride is closed,

They also could have put some more effort into the maps I think, considering they will be around for at least 5 months or so until the Spring attraction opens. They didn't add the new tower, or remove the china Town enterance, and if you look at the map its drawn as if you can't access Arkaham Asylum through the Superman area. -

Well if the lines were so long why didn't any of you take advantage of the Fast Track system?
