  1. Turns out it’s just them officially announcing the all new Batmobile in the park
  2. Movie World have teased on their Instagram story that they are dropping some news this afternoon, and show a blurred clip on Batman in a vehicle accelerating
  3. I find that the website is updated very regularly, including if a ride is just down for the day, after the park opened due to technical issues or whatever it may be. VRTP don’t do that. And remember how long the park maps were outdated too. The site map is probably an oversight SV has been removed off the news on the home screen, but currently still says opening this summer on the rides page
  4. On Wednesday’s they are doing uni nights and any students can play from 6 until 9 for only $25 per person, and they get discounts on F&B, which I think is an awesome deal. 3 hours for $25 is awesome
  5. Skip to about the 10 minute mark for the Topgolf experience. They do say how they are offered to sit down in the booth and order some food and drinks before game play even begins, which I think is great and should be what they do here. Just adds to the experience. I would understand them not doing this during a peak period, but on a slower/quieter day I definitely think they should
  6. This isn’t me providing the lesson, but asking questions about Movie World’s history about current buildings and areas original usages. Was this building actually a diner and when did it close? Has this building ever had a real purpose because I have never seen it be used for a decent amount of time And this area that has all the games in it, what was originally here or the space used for? (I do know the dodgems building was HP and then the Matrix)
  7. You can still use the area for free, and they have the cards attached to each area. But they’ve now put back up the sign and have the bands heavily available. I’ve gone into the store a number of times and didn’t have any available
  8. Good news, MW have got rid of the Topgolf sign outside the entrance and have gone to these efforts
  9. Poison Ivy has returned And look what else is back
  10. As long as if there is some form of story, concept behind it, and there isn't any cringe comedy, they should be fine... surely?
  11. I am very hopeful this actually turns out to be decent, and up to the standards of the original ski shows at the park
  12. The Wipeout stores I understand the removal, they’ve never seemed to be anything exciting and never looked permanent. So I’m happy to see them go. Definite shame about the Buzz Saw store as that building fit well into the areas theme. Hopefully they don’t knock it down as that will make that area feel even less of a themed area. And at least they’ve put a wrap on the construction wall, rather than leaving it blank and an eye sore
  13. Maybe it was a new train, so the wheels haven’t worn in yet, hence the stoppage
  14. At least they’ve gone to the effort of have detailed signage and prints rather than an A frame or something printed and laminated
  15. If DW closed forever it would certainly be devastating, and I’m sure a lot of people agree. Right now the money just needs to be spent the right way to bring what they currently up to a good enough standard and manage it well so the rides are capable of operating. Maintenance is required, but not having all rides operating consistently in peak periods, and managing the down time across the year so a tonne of stuff isn’t closed at once. And refreshing anything that needs it, even if it is just a coat of paint, they just need to show care, promote what they have, and be smarter with all their decisions
  16. If SV is opening in the 2H19, does that mean its opening some time in the next 3-4 months?
  17. I’d say it’s not killed off, just on hold/they are going to try and lower the cost of the attraction. If I were them, I’d remove any animal aspects of the ride they were going to be include, and just purely create a lazy river, with a possible rapids section or route on the course. Make it feel like a tropical get away, and add immersive theming and facilities
  18. The new Batman at MW is looking great 😂 (Photo TPSN)
  19. Honesty/Communications has probably been the biggest issue over the years. There are always the generic responses that don’t actually help the situation. Especially when it comes to extended maintenance or issues. Hiding this stuff makes it feel untrustworthy. And I’m sure the general public would appreciate knowing this info too
  20. DW need to work on the smaller details to bring back the magic the park once had VRTP needs to work on its staff, the majority are either rude or don’t care. I understand it isn’t always the most exciting job or best working conditions, but theme parks are designed for happiness, memories, entertainment and fun, and when you have a poor interaction with a staff member, it really brings the experience down
  21. If they had kept what was originally there and added projection mapping to that, the ride would’ve been a major improvement
  22. Someone might know the real reasoning, but I’d say that for the photos, either they broke or the cost to have the photo store open was higher than what that store was making, so they just closed it and didn’t bother with it When the ride went under extensive maintenance soon after the incident, I would say they just removed it either for safety or maintenance access reasons (No real idea, just putting thoughts out there)
