  1. ^Yeah I do. I was just stating it, for anyone who just reads the title and doesn't look at the article.
  2. You click on the article and it then doesn't say anywhere that it is closing for good. It just says closes down, which in my opinion doesn't mean closes for good. It has closed down for a couple of days, while DW investigate. This isn't the end of the ride.
  3. Came across this website (http://www.scottware.com.au/theme/dream/logos_maps_etc/ ) which features most of the DW park maps, couple aren't very good quality, so haven't included those below, but these give an idea of the transformation of the park between its opening in 1982 and 2005.
  4. ^It was posted on the Gold Coast theme park FB page that it is reopening on Wednesday. EDIT: just checked DWs website and it says this.
  5. ^There is a brief moment at 3:56 that you can see the other log just as it reaches the top of the lift hill:
  6. I'd be surprised if MW don't put a higher way around the area to kind of keep some of the area as a surprise. But I suppose it would be hard to keep such a large area like this hidden to a certain extent.
  7. From the details given, I think we can say that this ride didn't break and that caused a man to fall out of the log. And if the ride did break or suddenly stop, the only you could fall out is my standing. I'm now assuming that this lady didn't see the man fall, especially if he fell back onto the conveyor belt. I'm going to say, he decided to stand, for what ever reason while going up the lift hill, and even the jolting of it, or as it reached the top where it comes off the conveyor belt, he has fallen back. Ride attendant has seen this happen through one of the cameras in the lift hill, and has stopped the ride immediately.
  8. ^Yeah that was my thought. But just thought I'd mention it on here. Maybe this person was just saying it, or that's what they had heard from staff. But standing up on the lifthill seems like the most likely way it happened. There are plenty of signs saying, don't stand up, so, they were just being stupid.
  9. I read on one of the Facebook news pages, were a lady commented saying that she saw the incident occur, and apparently he stood up at the top of the lift hill and then he's fallen back.
  10. Posted about the incident at DW, but released there was a topic made for it.
  11. ^Just remember that most of the time, the first night has a bit of chaos and takes a night or two for them to figure it out again. So by what you are saying, next weekend should be more organised. I did notice the craziness when driving home night, the queue to come off the high way down to MW was very long, went back to the left said of WnW (this was at 6pm).
  12. ^That would've been a good idea. And would fit perfectly with AA. But I don't think the footprint would've been big enough for the ride, let alone, the whole area that they are making. Let's just hope this area is awesome, otherwise people may complain more. It would be nice to have rides/area themed to something else, but if they do it right, then I'm not going to complain.
  13. ^I'd like to think they would have something planned for the Summer holidays, but since the TI redevelopment is costly, I'm not keeping my hopes up for any new rides this year.
  14. ^That does look like a really good ride, and it's a shame I did miss out on it. And the ride system is really cool, something I've never seen before. I'm sure one day I will get a chance though.
  15. I can't remember if they has been brought up somewhere else, or if this has only just been added, but the monorail at SW is closed for quite a long maintenance period: 25 April reopening Sunday 31 July 2016.
  16. I know I've judged it, and I haven't ridden one before, but it was just the idea of it to me. But I'd happily be proven wrong, and I would probably ride one if I got the chance. And by your impressions of it, it does seem better than what I expect. But the issue of capacity and boarding the ride aspect, would be something that would take time to figure out. I assume it's because of people having to adjust straps on the VR so it fits and is tight so it doesn't fall off.
  17. ^Walk around Brock's Garage 10 times and have 10 goes on the simulator, and then get a burger.
  18. Personally, I haven't done been on a VR coaster yet, but my thoughts on it are it is a bit pointless. From POV's I've seen, the graphics don't seem that great and the video is made to go in the direction of the coaster, which at times in some of the videos I've watched, you are just crashing through anything. I think that the ride would probably be more enjoyable if they didn't have the VR on them. I can imagine people always trying to fix it up, or hold it in place because they feel like it will fall off. Especially for an all new coaster, why have this, maybe it would be alright for older coasters to add an extra element to the ride that many people have already experienced. I'm sure that Samsung (or whoever is providing the VR element to the ride), paid a large amount of money for this to be added to the ride (I could be wrong, but that's what I'm thinking). I do hope we don't get this on the GC.
  19. That's what I thought, but then I clicked on the photos section on his page, and if you scroll down, you'll see it.
  20. It definitely would be sad if it went, but I'd hope if they removed it, they'd replace it with a similar ride type. But I don't know the likely hood of that.
  21. Just made a quick visit to DW and got to see Tiger Cub Kindy for the first time. All 5 tiger cubs were in there today, along with 3 handlers. They were doing a bit of small commentary every now and then. They were also taking photos of them up close on peoples phones, if you made a donation to the DWF. Here are a couple they took for me: Overall, the area was really well done, especially for a temporary attraction. And it was good to see they were promoting DWF plenty. I checked out TI progress, and I couldn't notice anything different from what others have said, except it seems that big tree to the right of the area, that someone said was removed, still seems to be there. I was surprised when someone said it had been removed, especially since it was such a big tree. Wipeout did get stuck at one point (position it got stuck in shown below) and was only closed for about 20 minutes and then reopened. The water level of Wipeout seemed a little lower than I remember, but I could be mistaken. And here is the level that TOT reached today
  22. What, they've removed that massive tree on the right side of TI?
  23. ^Would that date be a soft opening, as they announced it would be opening this October? And I'd say that date would be an 'aim for date' as there may be delays depending on weather. Not questioning your reliability of your source, just my thoughts on that information.
