  1. Translucent, that’s what I meant. It would definitely be awesome if they have added this
  2. They were last weekend. At first they were just testing then normal train, then they brought out the spinning train and were sending them out one after another
  3. They’ve always had different colour options, but don’t always change.
  4. Good to see they finally removed that wall to the right that was in front of the exit, now they just need to get rid of the one right under the sea world sign
  5. This idea definitely could’ve been played on more, but in some ways the queue does tease this idea of building anticipation. Standing in the queue, you can hear the coasters mechanics working down the launch track. You can hear it launch and you’ll definitely hear the riders. There are stalls gaps in the wall (that allow for the canopy structure) that reveal the train as it launches past. And while the canopy hides the majority of the track circuit, there are moments where you get a real good look for the train travel past and at some moments, real close too. When on the loading platform you don’t get to really see any of the track, but you can certainly hear the train, which I think is a way of building the anticipation as you’re about to board. It really is
  6. Movie world just shared this on their story (checkout their Instagram for the full video), but it features sets/costumes from the DC Universe. Could we be seeing a Justice League inspired exhibit at WB Showcase
  7. There will be more shading to come around the area, particularly around the spaces where there is seating. It just hasn’t been installed yet.
  8. Superman now closed and Road Runner still has no reopening date
  9. There were still a few sunflowers throughout the park that they hadn’t taken down yet. But you’d think they’d take them down while putting the others up
  10. I believe OzThrills has been invited out to photograph the track/train a few times now
  11. @xRazzBerryx just me and I have been invited/attended a few media events already this year
  12. Walking up the path you do get a view of the launch most of the way. When in the queue, the wall does have gaps so you do get teases of the launch while in the queue. And of course you can hear it. I see as a way of building anticipation before riding. You know it’s there, you’ll hear the screams/cheers of riders and adds to the excitement of what’s to come.
  13. The amount of queue rails that you see is final. The photos don’t really capture it well because of how long of path it is, but there is quite a lot of queue area. Greg explained how the queues work and why they are laid out this way. It’s basically designed to be flexible and interchangeable depending on crowd levels. It does become 4 queues at the top. Which are for the 4 purposes as you listed. The left and right sides go all the way to the station. The left one however does split into the 3 at the top. Which I’d imagine could be express, single and spinning. The right one I see as being the main queue. The railings you see in the middle are to extend the normal queue is needed. Roughly this is how it’s laid out (numbers I’ve written don’t relate to @Im Hungry numbers)
  14. Preparations for the event are underway
  15. This morning I was invited out to Dreamworld to get a sneak peek of Steel Taipan and a walk through of the entire area. I’ll start out by saying, overall they’ve done a good job with the area. It’s very nicely presented, good aesthetic/theming elements and watching both trains in testing while in the queue/entry areas is awesome. I was able to take a few photos of the area, so I’ll describe what I captured and if anyone has any questions, I’ll try answer them the best I can with what I can share publicly. The entry signage is something we’ve already seen, but here it is up close The path leading to the queue entry A look at the entry and exit paths There is a test seat before joining the queue. The garden beds throughout have been done very nicely. Suits the theme/style. There is a main, single rider and Tailwhip queue. The queue wait time and ride safety information sign is yet to be installed, but will be positioned here. The station area is massive and allows for many people to be organised for loading to make it as efficient as possible. There are also large fans in the station and queue. The screens will show boarding information. Here’s a closer look at the train
  16. Possibly, but they are both only closed for a couple days
  17. The GD is closed as they have been reinstalling the western side and testing.
  18. So we started out with this opening schedule Vortex - Dec 2019 Trident - April 2020 Leviathan - Dec 2020 Then Trident and Leviathan swapped opening dates. Then Vortex changed to April 2020, then September 2020 and finally opening in Dec 2020. Trident and Leviathan then had a September 2021, then a December 2021 and now Easter 2022. When they finally open, it would’ve been at least 3 years since they were announced. That’s Disney level announcement to opening time frames. Obviously Covid had a part in the majority of this, but it’s interesting to look at the long opening timeframes that these attractions have gone through.
  19. I definitely think the Tailwhip 360 is perfectly fine. They could easily just state in the experience description that it’s a spinning seat. I can imagine people will eventually just start referring to it as Tailwhip anyways. Even the acronym is too long for Parkz “T360SS”
  20. Here’s a couple of screenshots from the video of areas not yet photographed/seen
  21. Everyone’s thoughts on the name “Tailwhip 360 Spinning Seat”. I like the Tailwhip part, and I get the rest is to explain what it is, but I don’t like it in the experience name.
