  1. I can’t believe they still haven’t redone the theming in the queue. Such a shame.
  2. I’ve been on some pretty awesome coasters overseas and Rivals is definitely up there. I think the coaster itself is world class. The queue definitely isn’t world class. It could be so much more immersive. But that’s not what this ride is about. There could be some theming and characters throughout the coaster track, but really, who cares. You don’t miss it and you’re going that fast you probably wouldn’t even notice. This coaster is world class because of its track layout and experience. They could’ve not bothered with backward seating, but they did, and there aren’t many places in the world where that’s an option. I respect that you may not see it as world class, but I highly disagree
  3. Has anyone here been on triple launch coaster before? How is the experience compared to a single launch coaster? Do we think DW went for the triple launch because it is a cheaper system (I assume it’s cheaper! or because of the area available and the unique experience it offers?
  4. Over the past few years, BuzzSaw has been less popular because of its location. Once Steel Taipan opens, I can see the ride becoming more popular again
  5. I’m hoping they repaint it soon so it can match the vibrance of Steel Taipan
  6. Having ridden it, it is by far the most underwhelming coaster I’ve ever been on
  7. Happy Birthday Movie World 🎉 I know this is a corny question, but I’m generally interested to know. Genuinely, what’s everyone’s favourite attraction in the parks history? For me it would be the Looney Tunes River Ride. I have some many fun memories from that ride, especially as a kid. It had such a good story, the pre-show was so cool and it had a bit of thrill to it as well. I genuinely wish the park would explore this type of attraction again because it’s what the park needs.
  8. I just saw the ad on tv for this story. What the biggest load of bullshit I’ve seen. Why the hell are they making this story. Every time you step outside your house, you put yourself at risk. There is no need for this story. The DW incident was 5 years ago. We don’t need to keep reminding people of it. And we definitely don’t need to tell everyone that you might die when you go to a theme park
  9. Why do the media want to destroy the industry. They are part of the reason the parks have gone through the struggle period. Assholes.
  10. Interesting that they are already showing next years maintenance. Maybe because of all the complaints they’ve had this year about stuff being closed, they are planning ahead so people can book next years holidays, knowing when stuff isn’t closed
  11. You’re right, vintage cars used to have signage, tunnels, bridges, timber structures, etc. Pieces of theming like that will lift the area a bit more
  12. In case anyone was wondering if they’ve removed any of the TOT track from the tunnel yet… they haven’t
  13. Demolition is happening within the Trolls Village Its good to see the river again Vintage Cars now takes photos They have replaced a fence along the train line, it’s a shame they don’t continue this further instead of using pool fencing
  14. Here’s a look at what’s left in the car park Anyone know what this part is for? Station update Do you think they’ll build a retaining wall along here for the train track? Because I’d imagine they would have removed it if they weren’t going to use it Track updates
  15. Good to see they are saving some of the rustic theming from demolition. It would be good to see it placed in the Vintage Cars
  16. You could say the same for Vikings at Sea World. I guess because of its age and it being built in house, the park didn’t want to take risks. They had already made modifications to the ride with the cage. There might have been some issues with the pumps/motors, but it is my understanding they definitely could’ve been replaced
  17. The closest buildings on the left are different shapes, the arch above the clock is different, all the trees behind the building at the end, lack of trees down Main Street and everyone is wearing/carrying a big jacket
  18. If you look closely, the 1991 MW is actually just a photo of Movie Park Germany
  19. Look at Universals construction of the velocicoaster, considering it’s scale, theming, extensive queue, testing and stopping during COVID lockdown, they built that very quickly. For Steel Taipan, they need to install all the track through the station and within close proximity before building the station. It makes access for vehicles much easier and safer
