  1. Wow, the maze sounds very intricate @Jamberoo Fan! I'd love to see an S&S Free Spin at Sea World, it would fit in perfectly and the GP would love it. I'd also love to see a new flat ride, possibly a Mack Sea Storm?
  2. Sounds really good! The event has improved heaps since first starting, definitely one of Sydney's best haunts.
  3. Wow, this is incredibly up upsetting. This is truly a sad day for the Theme Park Community. My prayers go out to the people affected, their friends and family and all the staff at Dreamworld. Rest in piece.
  4. You're correct @Jamberoo Fan, the Waterslide doesn't run.
  5. You're half correct about all of the permanent rides being SBNO @Jamberoo Fan. The only permanent rides I could recount on the site was a Waterslide, Dodgem Cars, a Ghost Train, some sort of river cruise and a miniature train. The Dodgem Cars we're still operating when I was there, although it looked completely run down and dilapidated. But all of the other rides we're SBNO. It was actually pretty cool that the staff let us walk into the old ghost train. Apparently, it was originally known as the Wart Hog, and then was sold to a showman who converted it into a scenic ride. Then it got sold back to O'Neills and has just sat there ever since. It was obvious that they had taken out all of the props as well. Has anyone ever been on this ride and could possibly share their experience?
  6. Adventureland occasionally opens in January @Jamberoo Fan. They only operate portable rides, and it's quite run down but better than nothing I guess.
  7. The exterior of the maze looks amazing, but I agree that the name could be a tad better.
  8. I could possibly see VR coming to the coaster once all the hype has died down (e.g. they've built a new ride), but I think this coaster, if it's 'worlds best', then we won't see the hype dying down for some time as AlexB has mentioned.
  9. ^ Thanks for the pics, does anyone know if the colour scheme is going to stay the same?
  10. Looks good so far, can't wait to see more!
  11. No worries @Theme Park Girl, take all of the time you need. Good luck finding a new job
  12. ^ Yes, I've seen that. Definitely a great watch if you have the time. It's sad to see that Arrow is now gone, even though their coasters we're rough, they really did have a massive affect on the industry today.
  13. I thought I would give an insight into some of the smaller fairs around, considering most of the majors have gone to either Perth or Melbourne. This is the Spring Festival in Peakhurst. The fair used to get a lot of attention, with rides like Rok And Rol, Hurricane, Top Gun, Shockwave (double ranger) and Flashdance. This year however, there are only 4 thrill rides. The Dodgmes, Ultimate Party Machine, Super Trooper and Round Up. This isn't a bad lineup, but they've cut 3 thrill rides (hurricane and sizzler) which is pretty poor. I was pretty surprised that the Ultimate Party Machine turned up, as I've never seen it around, anyway, onto the lineup. Thrill Rides: Ultimate Party Machine Dodgems Round Up Family/Kids rides: Jungle Train Wild Chairs Teacups Mini rockin' tug Chair-O-Planes Joy Wheel
  14. Yes, the Infinity, quite impressive actually!
  15. Awesome TR, I was in Atlanta last year and sadly I missed out on this park. Quite a shame really, sounds like a pretty decent park.
  16. Just a quick question, who manufactured Superbowl?
  17. Great TR, I heard that there were some issues with the VR over there, hope it's better when it reaches Aus
  18. ^ Most likely , Thanks for the pics ThemeParkGirl! Has anyone thought about a Mack Rides Big Dipper? It's quite new from Mack, and while I definitely don't think it's world class, it seems like it did well at Wallabi Holland.
  19. I think it would be a great fit because it caters for thrill seekers and families, I don't think we'll be seeing the Ferris Wheel leaving anytime soon though. Also, I think its fair to start speculating on the Ranger's replacement (if it does get replaced and we're not all wrong ). I'd personally love to see a HUSS Rainbow, it was included in the original plan and was originally meant to be in the Ranger's place. Don't think that this would become a reality considering HUSS don't make it anymore and the only one in Australia is sitting in a paddock rusting away . I could also see something from Zamperla coming over, maybe a Disko or an Air Race. Let's see!
  20. I quite liked the ranger, even though the harnesses were pretty painful. Hopefully they replace it with a better ride or coaster, as this leaves up quite a lot of space at the back of the park. Exiting times!
  21. Yes, the ride has been removed from the park website. Hopefully it isn't gone, because from what I believe it was a HUSS Pirate Ship and their pretty rare in Australia nowadays. I did hear that TPA Shows just got a Pirate Ship though, but I'm not sure if it's gone to them.
