Quick pop in today and noticed this excavator inside the tower fence. Gonna be doing some demo I reckon.

So I pulled the pin and did some drone footage of the build. Once again, still learning editing etc bla bla lol. Note: For the drone sherrifs that'll come after me, I was flying above trees where no one was and I could see the drone the whole time...

It's where @franky mentioned, Empire Industrial Estate Yatala. Google maps hasn't been updated either, the area is pretty new.

I was out for a drive yesterday and stumbled across more of the Taipan. Got the drone out and did a quick video, nothing exciting, first video I've ever uploaded so go easy lol. It's an industrial yard out the back of Yatala.

Rain won't be easing anytime soon, gonna be pretty average experience for guests to waddling through mud to that seating area. Unless pathways of some sort are part of the plan.

The part that bugs me is the "blood everywhere" and "blood was pouring out of her". If this happened around a week ago and we're only hearing about it now, that's odd. Between all my local fb pages from Pac pines to Ormeau, not one mention of anything. What I'm saying is, you'd think if there was such a huge amount of blood and screaming then someone local would have seen it or mentioned it. You know, "did anyone see that girl bleeding at WWW today??". But nothing. Like you've all said, the evidence will be in the cctv footage but the whole thing seems a bit "blown up".

Didn't know where else to put this so anyway - I returned to DW on the weekend for the first time in a couple years too. Alot has changed, and seeing it in person it's even more dramatic. Question I have is, and I may have missed it here somewhere, what's going on with the Kangaroo walk through area and the restaurant? We walked through the emu bit and did the vintage cars, went to walk through to the kangaroos for the kids and it was a no go. Then I realized it wasn't even on the map! Is it all a covid thing or getting some renovations done?

The were having a good go at it earlier this year at the same time as filling in the rapids. Then all of a sudden they filled in the earthworks done for the rivers and abandoned the site.

I wanna throw my idea in, just cause why not... Ardent hasn’t made the final payment on the project for whatever reason (probably run out of cash) and the supplier hasn’t done an official handover. No handover, no ride open. 🧐

I don't agree with hearing "it happens all the time, it's normal". At the end of the day these rides are multi million dollar machines and shouldn't break down as often as they do. Yeh maybe once or twice a week where a sensor has become dirty or something but not frequently. I know most of the time it isn't a catastrophic failure but there's no excuse for an advanced machine to constantly stop working.

This is exactly what I've been saying to people. If you're a regular and you know what happened then sure whatever. But if you've come to the coast to go to themeparks (which tourists do all year round) and you're met with Dreamworld as it is now, then it's a big F you to visitors. Then for DW to do a 30 days for $30, you know that they know "we're a little bit up the sh*t here".

I was there Monday with the kids and it really is a bit depressing these days. Only the major retail shops were open, all the smaller kiosks were shut. I know it’s not the busy season but I feel bad for anyone that travels for a holiday and you walk into this depressing half open theme park. On a positive there was next to no wait for the rides (that were open lol). It kinda seems like they’ve given up on trying to get people through the door. Even the dancers doing their show looked sad, imagine dancing for no one. Just my little rant.

Well they're ready to roll... Showers this morning possibly delayed the erection but now it's windy as hell down here. Could be a bit too much blow for the erection
