  1. In QLD at least a lot of testing sites are closed because they can't staff them (like LPS and peoples theories on some GC rides) so people are turning to RATs, (myself included) since I'm not lining my young son up for 6+ hours to get a test. Luckily the RAT shortage is supposed to be short lived with stock arriving this week.
  2. So the Kirby/Bikash big plays are NA at SW, New slide tower and splash pad at WnW and the clearly COVID Delayed, unannounced (publicly) AA replacement? Sorry, and the Boost Juice Truck.
  3. Wonder if the website is linked to the VQ system so when they update the app/VQ the website is updated. Edit: Also could be the other way around or just simply and probably more likely, updating their own records database which links to the 2.
  4. Thats assuming Doomsday actually opens long enough to close for maintenance
  5. Some of those are quite valid questions to be honest. We clearly know the answers but yeah...
  6. was it making loud screeching noises when the brakes engaged?
  7. From what has been said previously the equipment for the launch is insufficient to do that, but if the full length of track was kitted out, I suppose it could
  8. I left the park around midday and Kaboom wasn't operational at that point. Super Ripper is realllly nice and 100% they need a few more body slides.
  9. Not until Sunday for me unfortunately. But jussst before the borders open up.
  10. The A-frame signs advising you're leaving a licensed area at VRTP Parks serve as a good reminder there is Alcohol near-by for me. Just wish they were not A-Frame signs in the middle of the path.
  11. White Christmas was sold out, and when we left the park looked very busy. From the lift hill we could see all the cars coming in too, so it looks like people who were doing White Christmas didn't come in for the day, as said above, because its not a whole day park. If you want to jump on rides with no queue, the change over period was awesome and highly recommend it.
  12. Wet n Wild in the morning and park in the arvo. The change over between normal operations and White Christmas (from like 4 until 5.306ish) had almost no lines on all rides hes tall enough for so after Rivals like 4 times in a row, Scooby a couple and Road Runner + Space Launch he was more interested in food and didn't want to "stay for the parade he saw last year" we also saw a local Christmas parade on the Friday night so he was a bit done with the whole Christmas aspect.
  13. My kid got bored at 6pm so we left to have dinner at Bettys Burgers and head home. We had an awesome day/night
  14. Isn't a Convention Centre essentially a fitted out Sound Stage anyway?
  15. I feel like the tyres would need pretty regular replacing
  16. Its in the article. He was only 'recently' diagnosed with PTSD from the incident. As for the case its self, going in as a cop, you're kinda expected to see dead bodies, regardless what branch of QPS you're assigned to. He may have a workers comp. claim but I don't think the suit against DW/Ardent will stand, unless their willing to throw money at it to go away and stay quiet.
  17. I thats only 16+. The 12+ is projected about 1-2 weeks after.
  18. It also reads that the pause is stopped once the rules are dropped also (rumored to be 90% double dose of 12+)
  19. The overflow carpark at Westfield Northlakes has been having rides appear there too. Kinda cool driving up the coast and seeing what I think is The Beast towering over the highway.
