Completely agree. If it was faster, you wouldn't get the hangtime. And riding on the edge seats with no track just feels different to me, almost like you're falling. Unless the wheels come off, then you may be falling but thats a separate issue. Back on topic, Channel 7 had a news report on Steel Taipans construction last night. https://www.facebook.com/7NEWSGoldCoast/posts/3832782013487125

It was quite gusty where I was on north brisbane and the fireball is weather dependant. What was the winds like down on the GC?

Why are disney parks so expensive to build?
Naazon replied to Park Fan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
There is a chance the Disney figure was the "cost of the park" not just how much was spent on completed rides / areas for opening. -
Something something big enough for your mum. Fill in the gaps, too lazy this morning for a burn. Yeah Black Hole is pretty compact and the final slide run is low profile and the buildings / shelters around the area a low enough for slides to run above. Not sure the rules around this but if needed I'm sure support pillars could go into the horse paddocks around the edges too.

Another article in preparation for the next episode. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-23/prosecutor-luna-park-ghost-train-fire-investigation-flawed/12243672 Edit: Next episode tonight "8:30pm" - not sure if ADST or AEST. -
Would that make sense? Isn't Batwing supposed to be a vehicle launching to space? If you put batman on top wouldn't that just be launching his rocket into him? That's if I got the theme right...

Most bars (that I've seen or used) are a T or U or L shaped. I can't mentally picture how the extra hook on the J would increase safety. once its passed the "pinning" point on the waist I'm not sure what its doing unless its structural, like in a U bar.
-
Because I found it interesting? Sorry, I'll message you privately in the future to check if I'm allowed to point out something I find interesting.
-
Interesting the lap bars are just a hook rather than a full loop

and GL was still having issues all day. Not sure what the problems are but I feel it probably should go back into maintenance until it can be figured out. Its also a waste of staff as the 3 Ride Ops just stand out the front of it all day telling people sorry.

What's the future for Dreamworld after Steel Taipan?
Naazon replied to Slick's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thats an interesting point and one I haven't thought of. Online you see internationals saying how they would love to come to AUS to ride DC Rivals, Steel Taipan is more or less a clone and there are a number of versions of it globally. The spinning seat is a great money grab, but only if you're already at the park, I doubt it would make many people want to pay thousands of dollars.
