  1. If there's one thing that Luna Park history has taught us, the person with the most power has the final say. Only took them 40 years to figure that one out before trying for inquest round 2
  2. Rides probably required a lot less scrutiny before one of them killed 4 people too. Though I know that the parks have also used the 'enhanced maintenance requirements' reason when they are simply waiting on parts or don't have the maintenance resources to do the full inspection yet
  3. DW saw a working train and had to put a stop to it
  4. Probably left them in the superman maintenance bay and forgot about them
  5. Well, one thing is for sure. It's definitely going to do some excavating
  6. With this level of investment, asking a realistic price for an annual pass is a welcome change. No more cheap annual passes!
  7. Back to the mods are always right I see
  8. Bolt the letters on and then bolt the track on! "but what if you need to change or remove the letters?" Y'know, it's never come up.
  9. But if they only use one train, then they double the time before having to buy a new train
  10. Open it up to a full ride tour. See Arkham before it's gone like you've never seen it before. Check out the control booth, the ride envelope, hell take the fences away from the queue theming and allow people to take photos up close with them. Seems like an appropriate up charge experience considering in the past we've had the opportunity to do essentially the same with Superman Escape and Justice League.
  11. Australia has picked up a heap of filming contracts recently so showcase could be filled with content for quite a while
  12. I'm terrified to see what the Ekka will be in 5-10 years time with the continued developments that keep popping up in the RNA
  13. Coming next year will be the written test you must complete before you're allowed on any ride.
  14. Poor Hugh, it's always his problem
  15. About the same time some dickhead decided to start flying his drones around the parks
  16. Just hang someone from a helicopter with a pressure washer
  17. The great part about Aqua coasters is that they can fit fairly easily because they aren't as limited by gravity. That's kind of their whole gimmick.
  18. BGH Capital isn't a theme park operator or a property developer but they bought Village. It all comes down to whether a company can find value in the park/land in anyway that makes it worthwhile to buy it.
  19. I do like that they've gone to the effort of having lighting on Leviathan. Even under construction, it still deserves to be lit up and look as great as it can
  20. I was curious about this myself and I looked it up. TOT publicly was announced to have cost about $17m in 1997. With inflation, that would be about $26m in 2020. So technically Taipan is the biggest single investment. Sky Voyager publicly cost $20m but god knows how much it actually cost with all the extra bullshit they had to go through in getting it open.
