But to think about it. Big Dipper took up much more land than the Metropolis site offers. About half of the site which it used is now occupied by the Meishio ranger and another flat. It is unwise to give the entirety valuable land up and put in another coaster and force only three flat rides to operate in the park. If you eliminate that end of the land for the equation Metropolis wasnt exactly a big coaster in terms of footprint and it is an unwise decision to cram in another coaster for the reason that the land would be better utilised if used for a couple of extra flat rides. If they actually tried to fit one in, itd be a crappy Zamperla spinning coaster or some no-name Italian built coaster at most as that is all that will fit the space.

When you think about it there really isnt a lot of room in the park to build something. I'd rather have the Metropolis spot used for expansion flat rides than being used to cram in another coaster, forcing the park to become an organisational clusterfuck just so they can fit in a flat. Their flat ride collection is small, and nowhere near as good as LPS in my opinion. The only rides that are really replaceable is their enterprise, the ex SW AS-1 and double ranger (that I don't know the name of). The AS-1 isn't that much space so you cant really fit another ride in the spot. The Enterprise is prime real estate for something like an Air Race. The Spider is a historic ride too just like the Ghost Train, Scenic Railway and Carousel. It is kind of like LPS's Wild Mouse and I don't see that ride going anytime soon. I assume the remaining kiddie rides and the ferris wheel will stay. If you really want a coaster, I'd rather see LPM buy the G-Force from Drayton Manor, if the park is still looking to sell it. Or alternatively, buy a Maurer spinning coaster, the same model that LPS has looked at getting in the past. That is probably going to be as much as the park will spend on a new ride, though. LPM is a tiny park even compared to its cousin in Sydney and I don't really think trying to cram in 2 coasters into there is going to do them well in the long run. Comparably you could fit 3 extra flat rides in that spot.

That is incorrect, one of the Six Flags parks planned there (think its Zhejiang) has already started vertical construction on its waterpark portion and is intended to open in 2020. They just announced three more parks in China as well.

A powersplash wouldn't work at Sea World as they already have Storm which is basically the same thing but its full circuit. On the other side of the story, a big, tall shuttle water coaster that gets you soaked sounds like a good replacement for Surfrider. On the topic of the Raptor, I think the smaller base Raptor model that's at California's Great America would be a good replacement for HWSW.

RMC Raptor leaked for Six Flags Great Adventure. Six Flags gets announced today, but Over Texas is getting a Mack Powersplash as track is already on site. I'd like to see WnW get a Powersplash in the future.

That's not going to be built and I wouldn't visit Saudi for the opportunity either. If it is built, it will be much smaller and less ambitious than what is shown here. See Flying Aces as an example. The render is awful, it looks like the coasters I used to build on RCT3 when i didnt know what i was doing.

And it comes out just a day after DW announces $35 million + in expenditure to be spent next year, the biggest investment in over a decade. How convenient. They were waiting for this to happen, weren't they? Next.

Well a video is up, a full POV (sorry to steal your thunder here Slick). No surprises here, but this confirms it be going in TRRR and Eureka's spot and not where the Ampitheatre is being pulled down. It will be right next door to Buzzsaw. Something interesting I observed is that Hot Wheels is nowhere to be seen in the render, yet nearby rides in Ocean Parade like Claw can be spotted. Could it be end of the road for that coaster, facing the axe before TOT?

Well DW doesn't have any good body slides that don't cut your back so Ardent is patching up a rather obvious hole in their lineup. Local pool slides have really stepped up a notch in the last few years too. Any body slide these days could be considered 'local council' material.

A new ampitheatre was originally intended to go in TRRR's site where the coaster is going now. I wouldn't be surprised if all of Blue Lagoon ends up being pulled down to fit the coaster. I do not think TRRR's site will be enough space to fit all the layout in. As already said there is ground work being done near Cave of Waves which is where the new tower will be going. No supports or slide pieces on site for now but construction looks to be on track for a November/December 2019 finish and I wouldn't be shocked to learn DW is getting the ride ready for the busy summer season. Slides don't take particularly very long to build especially when compared to bigger stuff like coasters.

It won't be Star Trek. Star Trek only goes 85 km/h and its layout is substantially shorter than 1.2km. The layout in the Bulletin article is a blatant giveaway. It is more than certainly a Blue Fire clone.

I'm confused... So Copperhead Strike and Slinky Dog Dash are Blue Fire clones now? Blue Fire isn't a multi launch coaster is it?

Thunderbolt 2: Electric Boogaloo?

As mentioned previously, my money is on Dreamworld axing the Gold Rush theme altogether when the masterplan takes effect. With the two core attractions of that area now gone, that area is virtually dead. Gold Rush gets a new theme with the Blue Fire clone's addition with Buzzsaw either being removed or rethemed. Not only that, but keeping Gold Rush could possibly conjure up memories of the TRRR disaster and DW want to move as far away from that as possible. I could suggest integrating SV into the new area with an aviation theme. Theming the Blue Fire clone to WW2 era aviation would be a very unique and interesting concept in Australian theme parks if executed correctly. If they want to keep a general 1800s era theme, why not try one-up MW down the road and make it a Wild West area? Plenty of possibilities to give that area a new look. @Gold Coast Amusement Force , rocky hollow is a different part of the park to Gold Rush. Log Ride and Giant Drop are part of that area.

Spinning car? Hard pass. I think DW will try to emulate MW's success with DC Rivals Backwards and do a backwards row on their own coaster.

I do not think there will be enough room in that spot to fit the ride now that we know the exact layout. Where the Ampitheatre and probably Blue Lagoon is being ripped down is where the coaster will be going.

Well that's some really good news. A Blue Fire clone is a great marquee attraction that Dreamworld really needs, and a good coaster for Australia in general really. It'll be a great attraction considering they are investing $16-20 million. I believe DW will axe the Gold Rush theme and build a new area on the site. But again, the results come tomorrow, so we'll possibly see what is the park's future then.

Kids area needs a refurb. Give it all a new coat of paint and some theming updates with the same IP in mind. They havent added all that much in 20 years. It all looks so old now, in desperate need of a refresh.

The new giga for Kings Island just got announced. FYI. The brake run on this coaster is taller than anything at Alton Towers.

JFC dude. Calm the farm. People on this board spent nearly two years speculating what DC Rivals would look like from every detail and awaiting the layout reveal patiently (as long as it was). Things take time. It'll come, and I don't expect the full plan to be dropped immediately either. This master plan will probably take a decade at least to fully pan out and will be completed in stages. But that's what you should come to expect from this industry. I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement of some aspects of this master plan isn't far away considering they are already just starting to prepare for stage one of the project.

I found a video of someone's construction pictures of Cyclone and a couple Thunderbolt demolition pictures while scolling through Youtube this morning. I thought it would be cool to share. His channel has a small amount of DW content but these photos are probably totally new.

There isnt all that much space around the station area, but it could be used to plonk another ride in Dreamworks as that is right next door. New KFP flat perhaps?
