  1. DW also has an area called Ocean Parade without even a droplet of water within it. Accurate descriptions are not their thing
  2. I won’t hear a bad word about Red Rooster. it’s a fabulous institution of culinary delights
  3. Yeah my local flight centre is $1400 flights not sure of the time period but that’s bris to LA
  4. Mate I was just reading someone broke into someone’s house last night in Coomera and all they stole was a birdcage with 2 budgies and an ashtray. these kids are cooked
  5. The way HJs pricing is going you’ll need an executive job to buy a burger soon…
  6. Well that’s changed since Christmas Eve on my last visit there where it was “this tub is for glasses only” spiel they’ve given for years. The storage area for sippers is also new, but a welcome addition “Most” people don’t have that ability Classic macho throwaway line that. The “kids” are breaking into houses they know have cameras, to get the keys to steal high end luxury cars they know have gps tracking. They’re not doing it for resale value, they are doing it simply because they can and the law refuses to punish them. There is no fear of repercussion with these kids as the extent of their forward thinking ability is about 10 seconds.
  7. At storm coaster you are only allowed to leave prescription or sun glasses. You are unable to leave phones, hats etc. if you have those with you at boarding you must take them with you - it’s been that way every time I’ve ridden in the last decade Have you not seen or heard about the rampant petty juvenile crime occurring all over the coast currently ?? I 100% would not put it past some eshay chumps to snatch and grab a bunch of devices by being first off the ride and to the tub. That would be tame and less-brazen compared to half the shit they are doing
  8. It’s not easy though. You are over simplifying. One tub with 20 phones, wallets, glasses etc just isn’t going to work. It’d be a complete mess and also see an increased in theft.
  9. Not feasible to have everyone’s phone in the one tray, that’s potentially 20 odd phones and it’s just going to slow down Ops as people try to work out whose is whose at disembark time
  10. That would be a sure fire way to not be a millionaire for much longer firstly, Byron people are in uproar when an out of towner wants to open a fast food franchise. You want to open a theme park. You have zero chance of getting the land required zoned for what you require. If you found land, you’d be bankrupted by the drawn out development and approval process as thousands of locals object to the application. If you by a miraculous chance managed to get the park built you’ve then got the issue of attendance with most of the locals against it, and the nearest population centre already serviced by established theme parks meaning unless you had something significantly better to offer, they wouldn’t make the trek down. Byron is exceedingly expensive and accommodation options limited which makes short stays expensive and less attractive than going to the GC.
  11. Just a full roll out after the soft launch a couple of months back.
  12. Donald Trump is an alien? Tupac is still alive? The royal family are lizards?
  13. A dragon is not a serpent. So keeping the dragon would make a mockery of the entire name/theme. On that thought, they’ll probably keep the dragon…
  14. Shouldn’t need to incentivise people to do their base role/job. Then it comes an expectation to be rewarded for doing the bare minimum
  15. Wow this has blown up while I’ve enjoyed my day at the beach. Getting evac’d out of the water due to a shark wasn’t in the plans, totally a 1 star review coming up for Burleigh Beach… End of the day, if you want to go on more than 3 rides, even on the busiest day, you will. Parks have family swap to assist with getting on some rides, if you have little kids you can comfortably get them on all of WB kids offerings in well under 2 hours (probably closer to 1) giving you, an adult, plenty of time to go on the big stuff. If you want to fart around to watch shows and take photos then that’s fine, and it’s what I personally would want from my day at a park, but it’s my choice to do that so I’m not going to whinge and moan that my choices cut down my ride opportunities.
  16. Upcharge attraction where you get to chase brown snakes off the island with Captain Feathersword themed machetes
  17. Median wait times provided show you could easily ride more than 2-3 rides in a day. plan or not.
  18. If I read “opening BY 2024” then I’m expecting it will be open on Jan 1. “completed in 2024” means it could reopen on any of the 365 days that year
  19. Of course not, but if you are paying $400+ for the one day you can attend whilst on holidays, then unless you are maximising use of the operational times of the park then I’d suggest you are limiting the relevance of the argument that you could only get on 2 rides..
  20. Google reviews. Haha. Also known as exaggeration central. whilst some are no doubt genuine, 90% are exaggerated to publicly force the park into offering some form of restitution or because “poor me” I’m not happy so I want to slag off your business I guarantee you a large majority had no plan, rocked up late and aimless wandered around while the kids argued about what they wanted to go on first.
  21. I’m obviously not taking into account lining up for DCR for 2 hours only for it to break down.. Your friends experience is theirs, I wasn’t there, but I can’t buy for a minute anyone only getting on 3 rides in a day with 9:30am to 6pm holiday operation. If you are there at rope drop with a plan on where you are heading straight to, even if you dawdle you’ll be on a ride within 30mins Are you then saying in the proceeding 8 hours they could only manage 2 more rides? Doesn’t add up.
  22. That’s a massive over exaggeration. Firstly no individual is paying $400 to enter. if you are coupling a whole family from a cost perspective, then you just couple them as a family for rides even in the highest peak, you are not only getting on 2-3 rides in a day unless you are spending 4 hours eating and shopping, or only spending a few hours at the park.
  23. If safety procedures are making people angry and ruining their day, the issue isn’t the procedures, it’s the people.
