  1. Yes, it is strange. And the rides closing are EFM, PIBSS, SOGR, GG and PN, all in the Dreamworks area. I feel like the maintenance will be extended and the rides repainted in two stages.
  2. Features some POV footage of TNT. IMO Luna Park Sydney and Gumbuya World have the best coasters outside-GC.
  3. With Motocoaster, they could do these: Retheme to go with the Rivertown area Remove the ride/add another ride there Remove the ride/add the remote control boats Remove the ride and leave the land empty Leave it how it is I hope 1 or 2 happens (with it sold to a smaller park if 2 happens) but I feel like it will be 4 or 5.
  4. IIRC Boomerango, Taipan and the kids playground was from White Water West, while Red Belly Racer and Tiger Snake Tango was from Proslide. I would love a slide tower either next to the wave pool or behind Project Zero with these: Tornado 60 BehemonthBowl 60 HydroMagnetic Rocket Superloop IMO if they added these it would make the Oasis Springs area on par with White Water World. Yes, they may have a few less slides but they have a lazy river, surfing area and heated rock pool that makes up for it.
  5. Now White Water World, Wet N Wild, Raging Waters, Funfields, Adventure Park and Adventure World all have Tornadoes, in other words all major water parks except Gumbuya World. I feel like the latter will most likely follow suit in its next Oasis Springs expansion.
  6. According to Funfields Facebook, Supernova will open on 26 December, 3 days after the new coasters at Gumbuya World.
  7. Yes it was. Greg is finally starting to turn Dreamworld around after years of neglect. The new additions will finally make up for all the rides lost in the past 10 years.
  8. It looks like there is two entrances for TNT: The one on the left is the normal queue line for people without Express Q The one in the middle is for Express Q members The one on the right is the exit As for Project Zero: The left netted pathway is the exit The middle entrance path is for Express Q The one on the right is for normal queue line Wonder if the other rides will get a change to fit in with TNT/PZ?
  9. Yes the journos hate theme parks. If they had there way (especially Seven) all the parks would be shut forever.
  10. I am thinking they could do it during the annual maintenance period - say EFM goes down in April, the refurb to KFF is done then and opened in May or June. Same could happen with OGR and DF to BIP and BRP respectively, and GG and PIB (however they were not shown during the announcements and the new rides need space so will probably be retired). Pandanonium would be a problem however.
  11. @themagician will all the rides go down at once or in stages, etc. EFM closes and is redone, then Pandanonium, then Shrek/Dronkeys is done. Also do you know what rides will be going?
  12. Funfields - Would be good as they don't have a coaster currently Aussie World - Would be great, but I doubt it would fit in the park Gumbuya World - Would be seen as insuperior to TNT and PZ, I would rather them spend it on waterslides as they have enough coasters for now
  13. Maybe if they have a new slide tower behind Project Zero/The Break it could be installed? However most likely it would be brand new slides from either ProSlide/White Water West (funnel etc.)
  14. I DO know the Disney/Fox buyout, I just forgot it at that moment. And I could realistically see the new Funfields slide open on the same day/week as the Gumbuya World coasters. I am not "trolling" I could see it happen.
  15. To take away everyone going to Gumbuya World and getting people to go to Funfields instead to ride the new slide.
  16. Dec 23? (Funfields would try to put it on the same day as the new coasters at Gumbuya)
  17. IMO I feel like at this rate we will see the rebranded kids area open by June 2023, with the ABC Kids attractions retired or sold off, for example Play School Wheel could go to Gumbuya World and some of the others given to smaller parks. Dreamworld Flier/Extended Ocean Parade will probably open Dec 2023 and the Rivertown open December 2024.
  18. Yes but the boats could get stuck at the chainlift and the boats from behind all bump into them. May not be as bad as TRRR but all the boats (or at least 2 or 3) would get stuck leaving around 25 people trapped.
  19. IMO If the water levels are lower than normal, DO NOT open the ride. We know what happened with TRRR at DW.
  20. What I am trying to say is not a full blown Ten retheme, but just maybe a test at newsreading or maybe a Ten themed ride (like SP7 at Wonderland) The rest would be Paramount themed rides. Yes that would be great, get rights off Universal to rename it to "Universal Studios Gold Coast" Universal Studios Singapore's main street looks similar to Movie World so why not make MW look like that? RE: JL being removed, why not replace it with a Simspons ride clone? The Simpsons is one of the most popular shows on the planet, and Disney have been willing to give other parks use of The Simpsons, like USF/USH. But in all cases, the most likely option is for MW to remain with WB.
  21. The BBL and AFL turned to shit when it moved to Seven/Fox, not Ten. When they were on Ten everyone loved it, and I have seen many people saying "AFL was the best on Ten" The BBL was becoming big on Ten but when it moved in 2018 to 7/Fox it went downhill. Yes you can say it about the Melbourne Cup and A-League, but the former is on RACING.COM and Sky Racing where people go to mainly watch horse racing, and the A-League ratings was already so shit on ABC that it moved to ABC ME. Ten/Paramount+ apparently are trying to get Cricket, and have reportedly bid the highest above of 7/Fox/Nine. Just because it might be on Ten doesn't mean the game will suddenly die. News might turn to shit, but not sport on Ten. If VRTP made a deal with Ten/Paramount to rebrand Movie World (if WB gave up on them) I would like to see the WWF mountain rethemed to Paramount Mountain (unlikely but would be great) and they could have a "test your skills at newsreading" in one of the buildings branded to 10 News First.
  22. The good thing about partnering with Paramount is you are also doing a deal with Channel 10, maybe if a rebrand happens Ten can have exclusive previews of new rides and shows for their news as well as even Wild West Falls being rebranded to Paramount mountain. Also IIRC Village and Ten did a deal for Village movies to be aired on Ten so that adds another factor with going with Paramount.
  23. Yes Paramount and Sony would be a good option. Highly doubt Disney/Fox or Universal would partner for obvious reasons. If they go with Sony, they could do a deal with Marvel (as SpiderMan/Venom is released by Sony not Disney) and try to include other Marvel properties. The rides could be: Spiderman Escape (retheme of Superman) Marvel Rivals Hypercoaster (retheme of DC Rivals) Doctor Doom (retheme of Green Lantern) IronMan SpaceShot (retheme of Batman Spaceshot) Loki's Time Spinner (retheme of Doomsday) Wild West Falls (no retheme, just the logo replaced on the cars) Hotel Transylvania Spooky Coaster (retheme of Scooby) The Avengers: Alien Invasion (retheme of JL Alien Invasion) Sony Studio Showcase (retheme of WB Studio Showcase) Hollywood Stunt Driver (no retheme) Roxy Theater (no retheme, shows changed to Marvel/Sony Pictures Animation) Street Stars Parade (characters changed to Marvel/SPA) New York Film Academy (no retheme) Spider-Man Meet and Greet (retheme of Tom and Jerry) Not sure about Looney Tunes/WoO).
  24. I have thought of a possible scenario at Movie World. What if Warner Bros and Village Roadshow decided to cut ties with each other and Movie World was forced to be rebranded to non-WB items? What would it rebrand to, and would it have a generic theme or would they go with Sony Pictures etc.
  25. Doing the top makes the colour consistent through the whole tower and makes it look much better IMO. I love the black more than the grey.
