Dreamworld post Rivertown - Whats next?
STRAWS replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
It has to do with a lot of factors 1 being the theming before they added the corny music and the random screens it always made me more pumped to ride it. I also loved the roaring sound it made it added a lot to the atmosphere of the park. I loved the speed of the ride When I first went on it for the first time, I didn't expect it to go backwards. The feeling of weightlessness and facing straight down as it came back down the tower was so fun. I loved the adrenaline rush it caused. DC Rivals is a great coaster don't get me wrong, but it has never given me the same adrenaline pump as TO2. TO2 is a short 1 trick pony ride but even in the later stages of its life not going as fast etc. it was still a great ride which I never got tired of riding. I just don't get the same buzz from other rides. Might just be me 🤣I hope this explained why It's my favorite. I would love to hear what you guys think about what I said hopefully I explained it well. -

I loved the To2 so much I know a lot of people will disagree, but I think it's far better than DC Rivals even if it's a 1 trick pony. -

talking about Movie World losing its magic look at this Credit Thats so mid This is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I know it school holidays and it will be busy, but this isn't even safe with how many people they have let in imagine they had to do an evacuation. Also 3-hour ques for the rides Village may be pocketing the money now but Movie worlds reputation is going to plummet. they need to limit the numbers. Dreamworld is so much more fun to be at not just because of the ques but the staff are so much better to. -
I would love to see them to open Giant Drop at nighttime for the night views. Even though I'm a annual pass holder already I would be happy to pay extra to ride it at night.

Greg, you offer nothing to this forum you're a ghost who pops in and out no one respects you because you're not a regular and all you say is dumb shi#. Moving on all though I do like browsing through dreamworld golden years but as @webslavesaid and many others there use to be more anti Dreamworld there for you have no idea what you are on about.
-
So true would you agree that the Giant Drop is the scariest ride in the gold coast and probably even the whole of Australia. I love the short ques on it.

Dreamworld launches online Merch store
STRAWS replied to DaptoFunlandGuy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yeah, I have been doing it since 2014 it was still doing 160 kph then right. I know it did get slowed down with time but it was still my favorite ride even when it did go down hill. -
White Water World has removed the wedgie from the website. it's been closed for 2 years now. They have done a silent removal and sign for it in park has been scraped Aswell I believe. What are your guy's thoughts?

I'm thinking of becoming a Ride Operator
STRAWS replied to HyprCoastr19's topic in Theme Park Discussion
@HyprCoastr19You sound exactly like I do I'm glad I'm not alone the only input I can give is that the rides are fail safe so if the seatbelt doesn't lock correctly the ride won't start until they all have. Hopefully this help -
Oh really that's interesting maybe there replacing something or the track got damaged.

Calls for Light Rail extension to Movie World, Sea World
STRAWS replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I agree and the way Village put this out shows more about how money hungry they are then improving guest experience. If Village priority was to improve guest experience with public transportation, they would be the ones paying not just asking taxpayers and the government to pay for it for them. Definitely didn't use their brains here. -
I'm, pretty sure I Rember Greg Yong stating that the cave would be dark during when it was being built so what's the thinking behind the windows? it's a wasted Opportunity because apart from the near mis element it adds nothing else.

Dreamworld’s Ocean Parade Expansion 2023
STRAWS replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I didn't think it was worth starting a new topic for this but is it just me or has the Sky Voyager screen quality gone blurry or out of focus compared to when it was first opened. I swear the video quality was better back but I could be wrong. Anyone else think this? -
@New display name Your ideas and Explanations are good, but you go overboard with things and then it just becomes silly. Things actually need to be practical.
-
If its only partial track replacement its probably still going to be janky as hell I have never been a fan of Mouse coasters.

I went to Fright Nights tonight so I'm going to leave a short review of the night. The actors were great and made the atmosphere really exiting. The mazes were great Dethrow and Conjuring was definitely the best 2 there. DCEASED had great props but it was to big and open to create any fear. And all the actors did was scream in your face it was pretty bad for all the hype it got originally. The bush man near where Green Lantern however was great scared the shi# outta me. The rides were packed with lines I skipped the ques as I brought Fastrack. I was disappointed in the Wild West Falls though with still many effects broken and apart from the lighting package the ride didn't really have a fright nights overlay it was a lot of fun though. Final Thoughts I give it a 8 out of 10 I still think they let to many people in for the size of the park. And my rating for the staff is a 9 out of 10 the actors were nice and funny. The Maze operators were kind of rude.

Seems strange that Dreamworld is advertising a fire evacuation plan how is this good for anything apart from enthusiasts.

Well even if adding actors and changing the lightning did nothing to help the atmosphere it couldnt have made it any worse. How is @DaptoFunlandGuysooking if he is just pointing out what other people are saying to the goal posts have slightly moved even if its not for the better.
-
Its simlar to some other minecart models sure but its jungle themed and plus the concept art vs the in real life ride is never 100% accurate. For all you know they could completely change the train it uses so it doesn't' make sense to assume the look of it. Talking about it and stating what it probably will look like is fine that's what this forum is for but it's not worth beefing about.
