DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion
rappa replied to Richard's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Nah not really. Orange for Mechanical Services, this one is for Light and Power and has been there many years. -
Wow that PA install just looks awful. By the brand of speaker there was obviously no budget but geeze think they could have been themed in at least a tad

Thanks for the update! -
So what that says to me is this guy has zero understanding of how the industry that his union supposedly represents actually works. And no I don't feel it warrants its own topic, if it does it's certainly a chit chat topic. IMO union issues and working rights have nothing to do with theme park discussion topics which are meant to be about the parks themselves and our enjoyment of them.
-
Your post didn't come off as simply quoting a post and being tongue in cheek but rather as your opinion and pushing the issue, at least to me. Apologies if that wasn't the case. And yes I feel any of these types of union messages are indeed propaganda, they rarely show balanced factual information and really only serve the primary purpose of my unions, and that is to make money for the union. I'm sure about 5 people will show up for a free snag and it will all get rained out anyway. A shame really. Best thing for the theme park workers would be to "Support Our Parks" , not make them look bad and people feel shamed for visiting.

Would you sooner the same 2 mins of music then over and over? Surely 10mins is better as you only here the same thing 6 times an hour instead of 2.
-
I don't think we need that kind of crap propaganda being posted on here thanks. Parkz is not a political bandwagon. Also as enthusiasts people here obviously are aware that the claims of all this massive profit are inaccurate given our recent discussions of half yearly financial results.

Hang on is the flash dance above a Tassy Devil brother? I've never seen another one -
Hey that one track was greatly improved several years back by being extended to about 10mins from 2 It also only plays the first couple hours of the day rather than all day

Tower of Terror 2 oil spray on face [SOLVED]

I'm just going to add that there is a big difference between posting a question on a niche industry forum like this and posting a bad review to a mass public social engagement medium like Trip Advisor or Facebook so the bad restaurant review analogy doesn't sit true for me here. -
You're overlooking one major detail. Parks don't really want you to know when multiple draw card attractions are closed because it deters visitation. There was a time where the only way you knew rides were closed was when you got to the gate and the moose told you.
-
Well my point is exactly that! Everything is about convenience and I for one am not a fan for that. Do you know how much of my time is wasted every day because people want convenience rather than actually putting in effort and doing work for themselves? Other pages may enjoy posting park opening times or attraction closures but Parkz is not about to join them.
-
God forbid anyone in 2017 has to go to a bit of effort themselves and read the dates and work out if some of them are the same.
-
And they are published on each park's website so I see no need for them to be posted on Parkz. OR ANY OTHER FB PAGE FOR THAT MATTER

The visuals look great. Lyrics aside, it's just the sung style of the song that doesn't work. Mostly because Guy Sabastian only has one style of singing... The cancelled idol years ago for a reason -
Parkz News Movie World is serious about safety, scene-by-scene
rappa replied to Parkz News's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Well if you're going to try and argue the mods of parkz are fanboys then there is no sense trying to continue this debate. It's widely known that parkz mods are probably some of the most highly critical people of the parks on this site so I don't like to think we're pretty objective. Out of curiousity how how would you word the article in relation to torque tripe? THAT would be constructive criticism... -

Yes but for Christ sake this is an article for the general public to read so in that context it makes perfect sense. Obiously the nut is at the correct torque (unless the stripe as move of course) because that's part of the assembly procedure before the stripe is applied and signed off on. I dont understand why when people have good in depth information they use it to nit pick stupid shit like this rather than contribute meaningfully to discussion. -
I'll have to check it out. Makes sense but I'm curious how it's braced.
