Inclusive means the ride would most likely have been shut today, unless they managed to get it all done a day early. Perhaps tommorow someone in the know can tell us what has changed (These new features....)

Nah, i think its just the fact that smoke tends to show up quite poorly on videos for some reason (I mean these videos are shot with camera phones and as such do a pretty bad job at recording fine things like smoke) Either that or they have played around with the timing on when the smoke is fired. But for starters, I dont think it is that risky since the people who decide to do this sort of stuff would be being cautious in the first place trying to conceal the camera, and then trying to keep hold of it. Somehow I cant imagine people being that careless with an expensive phone. Even if it did find its way loose the only place it could realistically hit a bystander would be on the second big turn (And if the shade sails are still there that means the only real spot to hit someone is the path to LW), and since the phone is moving at the same speed as the riders it wouldnt be hitting others riders that fast anyway. And as for the person who filmed it, well the name of the video is Montanha Russa do Superman which is Portugese (And the profile of the filmer says he is from Brazil) so it isnt someone from here. I agree. I guess you sort of have to protect from all the other bogans who would try to film. If filming was allowed you would be "opening the floodgates". What would stop a 5 year old fiming? or someone who hasnt ridden and doesnt know when to brace? I would also imagine insurance premiums would be higher for the park if they had an open policy. Personally i think the best approach is to allow people to do it with the right equipment (such as those cameras where you just hold the lens) and permission from guest services.

Mick Doohan Motocoaster construction discussion
Gazza replied to AugustVonPolen's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I dont think they would take the full scale prototype approach, in effect its just a new train design, and I would imagine the underside of the train would be left the same. I mean the current Accelerator has had a few train designs already, and they haven't had to do an entire assembly and dissasembly to go along with it. -

*on topic* Nah, no info has been released yet, but I would allow for anywhere between September and the end of the year. -
Nah, none have been built yet (At least not in a well known place). You will be happy to know however that Jamberoo has one in their master plans.

The billboards are in Soaked too though. IMO I'd rather have soaked as I quite enjoy just building waterparks without coasters or flatrides, and the slide lineup may be small, but it pretty much covers the main types (racers being the exception) so you can build whatever you like really.

If it was it would have been posted.... Edit: I was going to post my MW but the uploading system isnt working for me. 2nd Edit: Still not working, so i put it here instead: http://putstuff.putfile.com/44298/6102879

I can work out how to change my personal picture (Click on the settings tab and it is there at the top) but where do you go to change your Avatar?

Perhaps "getting stuck" isn't the best choice of words, maybe people could say "I stopped in the BRO" and we can avoid people thinking it was like Homer Simpson at Mt Splashmore.

Thats where "The temple of form" is useful, just put the cursor over the icon of the game you dont understand and instructions scroll across the bottom of the screen. But IMO most of the games are intuitive enough to work out pretty easily.

Ah yes, I got that too, its basically a must have for the Wii. For those who dont know, Wario Ware is this odd game where you are given quick 4 second microgmes, with a break of roughly the same in between. Its sort of something you need to play for yourself to really understand. But basically in the break between games the position you need to hold the controller in is flashed up, examples include "The Dumbell", "The Remote Control" and "The Handlebar" which are all pretty self explaintory, but there are some odd ones, like "The Mohawk" where you hold the controller on your head, "The Elephant" where you hold it up near your nose and "The Discard" where you have to set the controller down on a flat surface. Next the game appears with a curt instruction that flashes up telling you what to do, such as "Dont Drop", "Sort", "Punch" or "Collect 2". But the fun part is actually manipulating the controller to try and do each microgame in the 4 second limit, for example using "the handlebar" you have to try and spin the controller around in 3D so the barcode of a grocery gets read by a scanner, using "the mohawk" you physically jump in the air to header a soccer ball or by using "the remote control" you wave it around to shoo away pests. I have quite enjoyed it, its quite fun because the game speeds up making it even more frantic to play and simply trying to win as many microgames in a row without losing all 4 chances gives it pretty good replay value.

OK, lets end this debate once and for all. Going from the manufacturers website the diameter of the slide is 32 inches, or 81 cm wide. I did a quick measurement of a doorway in my house for comparisons sake and the width of that is 85cm. So unless you are some sort of sumo wrestler you wont have much of a problem, and IMO all these people who say they are getting stuck sort of remind me of the people who say things like "My brothers arm hit a support on Lethal Weapon and he fractured it" and "Once i was riding Wipeout and the guy next to me fell out". There is a chance your mat could stop due to friction, but that is unlikely since the mats would be designed to work properly, and in any case the buildup of water would quickly get you going again. So Lanna, you have nothing to worry about, have fun! (Oh, and BTW the BRO is at WWW so this thread doesnt belong here in the Wet 'n' Wild forum, I can see it was an honest mistake)

Ah cool, I quite like this enhanced fast reply and quick edit, it basically means you dont need full mode for much, especially since you can do attachments here. The user profiles are nice too, I had a look at your other site and felt left out at not having all those extra features here but now they are. Thanks for all this. One other thing I might point out while you are playing aroud with the forums, but perhaps the White Water World forum description could be updated since the park is open now.

On the Rip though to get the most rotations it would actually make more sense to lean inward. Its a bit like when you are on a spinny thing in a playground, you keep towards the middle to make it spin fast, but hang off the side to slow it down. By keeping the center of gravity close to the middle rotations take less force.

PS3 to Launch in Europe and Australasia on 23rd March 2007
Gazza replied to dreamworld_rulz's topic in Gaming
I probably wont get one because it doesnt interest me, but I personally dont see it as a rip off, I mean its pretty high end and getting a PC box alone that could do the same things would be much more expensive. IMO it would have to be bad value for money to be a rip off, and just because something costs a lot does not constitute being rip off. If you were after a sort of media center for your lounge it could be a viable option, but I wouldnt spend that sort of money soley for the games it has. Ill stick to my Wii for now and wait a while for super duo players to become cheaper (At least that way it doesnt matter if one of the high def disc formats fail) -
But dont you come up to the GC a few times a year anyway? Its a bugger you cant ride it now, but it would be going next time so you can look foward to that. I know how you feel though, when I was up this time last year I was expecting Extreme H20 zone to be open but as we all know they were slow getting it ready. At least WWW is open, and err, a big observation wheel.

Well, its not bad, but its nothing special. Anyway, there is a whole thread already on wether people feel the need for the theming to be improved, or wether it is fine as it is, so the answer to your question lies there
-
Maybe this could include additons to the theming ? Hey, I can dream. But just a question for those in the know/frequent visitors, has there been many technical difficulties and breakdowns when you are trying to ride?

Ummm, somebody already posted the SE RCT3 video here.......3 hours ago , there's even a thread about it http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/in...?showtopic=3118 There is also already a thread about the SE camera phone onride video http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/in...?showtopic=2997

It was Ok, it seemed to have a lot of repeated footage/photos, and really you can make anything seem funny if you put it to the Benny Hill theme. But on the topic of funny videos, I came across this one by chance, what you are interested in is the sound of the video, in particular at the cobra roll.

Yeah, i think you just misinterpereted what you are supposed to do, if something has gone cold by itself (for example by carelessly being allowed to sit out too long) then it should never be reheated as bacteria would have multipiled in that period. However, it is OK to cook something, then keep the cooked product refrigerated, and then reheat that. At Maccas for example the chicken tandoori uses pre cooked (As in at the cooked at the Chickadee factory) roast chicken pieces that we keep in the fridge. They are marinated, but only heated again when we are actually making deli rolls (Each container can be kept in the Holding Cabinet for 30mins). I can see where people are coming from about the wraps, its better when they have the chicken and tortilla hot but the salad ingredients cold (Hmm like a KFC twister, come to think of it thats probably why people were expecting it to be hot...so its like a twister)

Just a couple of minutes ago I noticed the disc drive was glowing, and to my suprise i found my first email from Nintendo. Aparently the News Channel is up and running. Its updating and installing now, so Ill edit in what its like in a little while. Edit: OK, I've just had a little play around with it and it seems pretty good. The interface is similar to the weather channel, with basic controls (that dissapear after a little while) at the top and bottom and all the main stuff in the middle. It gives you local, national and international news. Unfortunatley there was no local stuff, but in terms of national news they had some stuff up about climate change and that $10 Bil water plan (And some articles do have photos you can zoom in on). The international news was much more impressive, with a ton of articles. You can also look by a few other categories (such as technology and sports) the sports one is pretty cool as it has all the up to date scores. There were a couple of other cool things too, they have re-used the globe from the weather channel, but instead there are these nifty 3D stacks of paper sitting all over the surface of the planet, and the height of these represents the amount of stories. When you are zoomed right out there are only a few stacks in major news centers (Tokyo, Sydney, Vienna, New York etc) But when you zoom in the stacks start sorting themselves into smaller piles into local cities. A pretty cool interface. Also, there is this thing called slideshow, where it flashes the headlines in order for a few seconds each, and when you see one that catches your eye you just click in, and when you are done the slideshow keeps going. As for the stories, they seem pretty unbiased and non sensationalist which is good. They are Its done by Associated press so maybe someone who knows more about media can give an opinion of them. When I first heard about this channel, i thought it would just be sanitised stuff with a heavy emphasis on Nintendo related news, instead a found a review of a Microsoft product (Vista) 2nd Edit: Nintendo is funding this channel, and look who they are giving publicity to! That cool globe interface.

What about at Subway? all of their chicken products are pre cooked (chicken fillet for example) and are put in the microwave to warm them up before serving. Same with the chicken tandoori and Thai chicken at McDonalds. But still, it suprises me how parks rarely seem to be able to get food service right. Some do it well, but for the most part they are overpriced, and what makes it worse is the lower quality. Although some dont like the idea, I say they should just do what Tussauds does and have franchised outlets, at least that way you know what you are getting and know what it will cost.

You are better off looking on the Meshio website as it has the full stats for their double loop coaster. I have also attached an aerial photo (Though it is of a clone of the ride at a Japanese park) and a plan of the ride. Hope that helps. http://www.sanoyas-leisure.com/ meshio1.bmp meshio2.bmp
