Where is GDs onride photo? is it at the bottom like SP at WL or at the top like apocalypse at Drayton Manor Park.

I think if DW were to get a family ride as jiz said they should get just a themed boat ride with a big splashdown, the park could do with another boat ride as everyone can enjoy them, and it would also be able to be themed.

Maybe they could re-open tomb raider, flood the floors with 40cm of water and call it Tomb Wader.

I thought the reason GD ran only one side was because the other side has problems. So GD has the worlds longest freefall cycle time, yet they only run one 8 passenger car for most of the day, thats bad. If people hate the way GD runs, they should write a letter saying how they feel, i dont think long queues are something we should just have to put up with, they should do what is possible to keep it to a minimum. The first thing to do as Richard said should be to simply open up the other side and run it, so these 1hr lines are dropped back to a more respecable 30 mins.

Well Apocalypse at DMP and Acrophobia at SFOG have standup vehicles and they would pull similar gs, and they do fine. And what about Riddlers revenge at SFMM, it pulls 4.2gs and Georgia Scorcher, which pulls 4gs

Im the exact opposite of Jobe. I want it outta here, i dont want any of the GCs parks new for 2005 ride to be that piece of junk. But AW can have it since nobody cares about them.

Yeah, just replace the word "rides" with "coasters" and you might be right.

I have heard from a friend who owns it that you can work out (and you actually do a bit of button bashing to make them exersise) you can also ride a bike.

If anyone wants to know when the accident happened, it was in October, Year 2, and now nobody wants to ride STE anymore, and SFMMs park rating dropped to something like 50, i know where to get some pics of the crash if you want.

Hey also, there is a cool thing you can do with NL, (or any 3D game for that matter) What you do is get a pair of sunnies but only have them over one eye, and when you play the game dark light from the shaded eye is processed slower by the brain than the unshaded one, giving a sort of 3D effect, its not as good as say a real 3D movie, but it can make riding your coasters a little more interesting. If you have an old pair of sunnies that you can somehow not use anymore, you could just pop out one lens so you are not there holding the sunnies up to one eye, you can just wear them.

Yeah, it was, it went off the end and it landed near goliath, but the tower sort of fell backward and landed on the magnets, and when they tried to get the bits of the tower off the magnets they couldnt so they had to just remove the entire ride and rebuild it from scratch, eh joz?

That thing is the carriage that attatches to the train, and is pulled along by cables powered by a hydraulic motors to launch the train. Kingda Ka is not powered by Linear induction motors, they have been superseded by the hydraulic launch system. The only rides that really use LIMs are smaller scale shuttle coasters like the Intamin Impulsa and the ride trade Half Pipe coaster.

The are on the bordeline, but they are not a roller coaster as they are not sold as one.

My definition of a roller coaster is a ride used for amusment purposes that has a track or other sort of course (eg tobbogan trough) that fits the stereotype of a rollercoaster and is made by a rollercoaster manufacturer. There is no one definition that fits all, because not all coasters are gravity fed (like the Zamperla dragon) and coasters come in many forms. One thing i belive it must have is variations in the tracks angle on any axis, it does not have to have turns, but variations in the grade are important, so that rules out people trying to define a drop ride as a coaster.

How ahrd would it be to call up intamin and ask them to write a new program, if it is spending that time moving very slowly at the top then isnt that really the same as being held at the top, so why hold them longer? Someone who knows rob or bob or whatever his name is should ask him what stops them from re programming the ride system. And Slick, Richo does mechanical engineering at uni so I think he would know a bit more than you.

Basicaly, a dive machine is a ride for which the main feature is a vertical drop, G5 and Oblivion are examples of these. Busch Gardens are taking the concept a bit further, It will have a lift hill that goes straight into a vertical drop, it will then go into an immelmann, which leads to a helix that leads to the mid course block brakes. then there is a second vertical drop that goes underground, then a u turn, then a rather cool water splash element, in which then car runs just above the water in a specialy made pond, and water fountains shoot off either side so it looks like it has hit the water, then the track goes on into the brakes. There are some pics on the busch gardens website that show how the ride will, look, I cant remember the site so just google it.

Scotts right, movie parks tend not to have too many flats, and batman is only a borderline flat, its a bit more than your average spin and spew. And adam, having 3 coasters never stopped anyone, MW could do with another teen market ride as their last one was ages back,

And whats a bet that the presenter will be some sissy saying the claw is the most terrifying thing and will scream like a sissy the whole way through the ride.

None that havent really been done before, I betting on a coaster.
