Mmm, gotta love 'The Cheesegrater' as it's affectionately known to some of us W'n'W casuals.

There's a Sesame Street theme park in Pennsylvania, have a look guys - http://www.sesameplace.com/sesame/pa/index.aspx Of course it's a small parcel of land but maybe they could clone elements from the minor attractions. It would be good if the new area LOOKED like Sesame Street's set and didn't just replace the signs. I guess there isn't room for much in the way of facades though.

If I download a track, it's to sample an artist then I go out and buy the CD. Don't pirate movies either. We ARE talking people's livelihoods here. I'm not trying to crap up the thread but credit card is not the only option. There's also bank/wire transfer or cheque. Or just find someone with a credit card you can use. Whichever.

or you could just buy NL! ... I mean, the people put the hours in making it for people's enjoyment, then they're ripped off. That's not right. -- Tony "Buy it or do without, I reckon" Teulan

Please don't double-post/bump topics. kthx -
Here you go: But yeah, I will probably go down to Sydney for the weekend so I can get a fix of Australian carnival action. With going on the TPR trips I will be away for the EKKA & Gold Coast show so will be good to hit a major one. Might hit the Melbourne Show on the way home. Does anybody know what the Gold Mine Coaster is? ...

You know, growing up I didn't have much of a sweet tooth - as a kid, my idea of a lolly was a strawberry. Occasionally some of those chocolate freckles Still don't go for anything overly sweet but willing to try anything at least once so will give these a shot.

Wet'n'Wild: New 2007 Attraction

I think SW should just donate the Corkscrew to me. There's a vacant block of land next door which would accomodate it very easily. I'd be happy to take it off their hands -
Oh, you misunderstand. It's just that most of the times I'm queued up there, the air conditioning hasn't been working that well so I just find the temperature level can be a bit unpleasant. The theming is good though and at least it's out of the sun. It's better than the Cyclone but they need to monitor the A/C more and turn it up a little more sometimes.

Movieworld Sci-Fi Fantasy Night
Gold Coaster replied to mattcrombie's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Damn you, I was just coming on here to post that Ahh ya gotta be quick in this community. Fantastic concept & will definitely be heading there. It should be at least at the theming level as the Christmas night but if it was at a Halloween level that would be superb. Another night that will leave Screamworld for dead. -

As in, up near the Security office ? Or sort of on the road near the post box? Just want to know how easy it would be to take a picture of the boxes for archival gallery. -

What, near WhiteWater World you mean? -
It's only a 255KB file. Here's a thought, why don't you just try to open it, Swanny? You could know by now.
-
Not sure. Should still open I think except any Soaked! scenery will be missing.
-
... and that's the only thing I can contribute to this topic not having done Economics but being a Ferris Bueller fan.
-
Did you use anything from Soaked/Wild or any custom scenery from the Atari forums? Or will someone with plain vanilla RCT3 be able to open it from the get-go?

Beautiful park!! Looking forward to seeing it come together but you've really done a great job with putting the rides into some great landscaping. Your buildings look great too.

Modern Marvels. Two documentaries for you to download
Gold Coaster replied to Gold Coaster's topic in Theme Park Discussion
1. The Walt Disney World one is March '06. Rollercoasters was 2000 I believe. 2. "BitTorrent is a way to transfer files of just about any size quickly and efficiently. It works by breaking files up into small pieces. The file is downloaded piece by piece from one or many different sources. It's efficient because you get faster downloads using a lot less bandwidth." 3. DivX. Try VLC Media Player -
Here are a couple of download links to theme park documentaries I thought you would like. Modern Marvels - Rollercoasters (374 MB) (1 HR RUNNING TIME) The names are designed to inspire terror in the faint of heart: The Beast, Raptor, Steel Phantom, Colossus, Cyclone and Demon Drop. In amusement parks and boardwalks all over the world, the roller coaster is king. Beginning as far back as the turn of the century, roller coasters' designers have competed to build them faster, taller, steeper. They've flipped riders upside down, made them weightless, and applied more g-forces to their bodies than pilots experience in a fighter jet. As technology advanced through the twentieth century, roller coasters kept pace. Today, they are pushing the outside of the envelope in terms of what the human body is capable of withstanding. And still, eager patrons are demanding bigger and better thrills. From their origins in Russia to the high-tech wonders of the mega-amusement parks, this is the thrilling story of the development of roller coasters. TORRENT URL: http://www.mininova.org/get/503658 Modern Marvels - Walt Disney World (700 MB) (2 HR RUNNING TIME) Clandestine land grabs. A maze of hidden tunnels. High-ranking Army and Navy officers. Secret technology, known only to a handful of carefully chosen insiders. Cloaked in secrecy for years, the project began as one of the world's biggest, most ambitious, and little-known undertakings. Military research installation? No, Walt Disney World. Orlando's Walt Disney World is not only the most visited theme park in the world, it's also the most technologically advanced. From a network of underground tunnels connecting the various regions of the parks, to the space-age propulsion technology called linear synchronous motors, Disney has been at the leading edge of theme park technology since it invented the theme park with the opening of Disneyland in 1954. Soaring castles, sleek monorails, life-like animatronics, Modern Marvels: Walt Disney World takes viewers on a behind-the-scenes tour of the ingenious technology and incredible engineering feats that went into building the 27,000 acre complex. Tony Note: Focusses on Magic Kingdom, MGM, EPCOT & Animal Kingdom. Not the resorts or waterparks. TORRENT URL: http://www.mininova.org/tor/185329

Wow, Gazza, you've done it again. Outstanding concept. -
2005's not that long ago. And the book was released was 1964 but it's still one of the most beloved works of fiction. I think a C&TCF ride would be a great clone to have in Australia (or an original one entirely). It would be popular with adults and kids alike particularly if it had the movie's dark humour. Not sure about your idea though - it would be a LOT of work and moving everything would use a LOT of money that could be utilised for other things. Not a realistic thing to have happen. Also, while that went on, kids wouldn't have their own area so the park would probably take a hit in the number of families coming through the gates.

At Screamworld, I was thinking it would be nice to experience the cars again so will look at getting there before that date for some last rides.
